Stacey Solomon’s co-host reveals 2-second check to see if extractor fan is working & toothbrush hack to prevent mould
STACEY Solomon’s Sort Your Life Out is back on TV screens and sharing top home hacks for with families around the UK.
On tonight’s show, Stacey and her team transformed the chaotic home of the blended Aphabhai-Heer family-of-five – and had a hack for preventing bathroom mould.

While Stacey challenged the family to declutter half their belongings, which included a staggering 6,568 clothing items, the experts helped clean their Coventry-based home.
Cleaning professional Iwan Carrington had a top tip for finding out if your bathroom’s extractor fan is actually working.
If it’s not, it could be the reason behind mould building up in your home.
Iwan explained: “With busy households often you’ll get a lot of build up on the extractor fan and if this isn’t working efficiently this can lead to things like mildew and mould problems.”
He shared how there is a quick test you can do to check.
All you need to do is take a single sheet of tissue and place it against the fan.
Iwan continued: “If it’s working efficiently, it will hold this into place.”
In the case of homeowner Sheeny and husband Sohan, the tissue didn’t stay up, meaning the extractor fan wasn’t working properly.
Thankfully Iwan shared how you simply need to give it a good clean.
Firstly you need to remove the cover so you can see the dust inside.
Looking at the Aphabhai-Heer family’s dust build-up inside, he exclaimed: “Woah look at that.”
Cleaning pro Iwan continued: “I’m going to use some hot soapy water and an old toothbrush to get in between the vent.
“And then with a sponge remove any excess dust.

“You can pop this back on – yey look at that! That is not going anywhere.”
Back at the warehouse, Sheeny was forced to cut down on 50 per cent of her belongings.
Home transformation

TV host Stacey, helped this week by husband Joe Swash, also helped the family make better use of the space in their lounge by making zones.
They also created a playroom for the kids and Stacey showed how buttons can be used for storing earring pairs together.
One month on from their home being transformed, Sheeny said: “We cook together, we eat together at our dining table.
“It’s changed the dynamic of our family.
“The home is so zen. We have so much space.”
Last week, Stacey shared the 3p way to clean your windows which doesn’t leave any smears and you may already have it at home.

New footage shows furious Eddie Hearn shoving rival promoter as Eubank Jr vs Benn press conference turns ugly
EDDIE HEARN was seen confronting rival promoter Ben Shalom during a chaotic end to the Chris Eubank Jr. vs Conor Benn press conference.
Eubank Jr. sparked an all-out brawl on stage after slapping an EGG into his bitter rival’s face.

Hearn was in the middle of the fracas and scrambled to get at Shalom as things got out of hand.
Security guards managed to calm proceedings by grabbing both boxers, with a furious Benn needing three burly bouncers to restrain him.
Video circulating on social media appeared to show Henry giving Shalom a small shove amongst the carnage.
Eubank claimed the stunt was in reference to Benn’s failed drug test from 2022.
The first fight between the pair was called off after Conor’s positive sample for clomiphene.
The WBC infamously suggested Benn’s failed test could have been related to an intake of eggs.
Eubank later wrote on X: “Apparently egg contamination was the reason for his two failed drugs tests.
“So I contaminated him with an egg.”

A shaken-up Hearn addressed reporters once tempers had cooled in North London.
But he added the fight would be “off” if Benn and Eubank ran into each other again tonight.
Hearn said: “What’s happened now is the game has changed.
“And if you do that, you have to live with the consequences of that.
“We have to put provisions in place – put a lid on it – to make this doesn’t get out of control.
“Because if they see each other now? The whole fight is off. Because they are scrapping to the absolute end.”
Earlier in the night, Hearn and Eubank traded verbal barbs on a bad-tempered night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Matchroom promoter Hearn asked Next Gen: “Is this the Chris Eubank show?
Eubank replied: “This is Eubank vs Benn. You can sabotage the event and I’ll try talk to Benn directly.
“And you can be quiet. I don’t want to hear what you have to say.”
Hearn turned to Benn, with cheers coming from the audience, and asked: “How do you feel about smashing this geezer to pieces?”
Our extra billions on defence will secure peace through strength …and more jobs
MAKE no mistake, the world has changed. We face a new era of global instability.
And we will meet that threat with a decisive boost to our brave Armed Forces — to make Britain stronger, safer and more secure.

I know Sun readers will agree that national security is the first duty of government.
That is why it is the foundation of our Plan for Change.
As Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said, this is a once-in-a-generation moment, where we must step up. And we will.
It is why our Government has already committed an additional £3billion to the Defence budget.
And it is why yesterday, the Prime Minister set out the most significant investment in our nation’s defences since the end of the Cold War.
It means spending 2.5 per cent of GDP in 2027 — an additional £13.4billion.
Hard power
And we plan to go further, subject to economic conditions, by spending 3 per cent in the next parliament.
To do this, while delivering on other priorities such as rebuilding our NHS, we will reduce spending on overseas aid.
Because in this changed world, the priority must be strengthening our hard power.
Making Britain secure at home and strong abroad means a safer world, deterring conflict and preventing the huge economic and human costs that wars create. Peace through strength.
The threats we now face are more serious and less predictable than at any time in a generation.
Russian aggression is a threat that goes well beyond Ukraine’s borders.
Technology is changing the nature of conflict.
Three years ago, Putin’s illegal, unprovoked, full-scale invasion of Ukraine upended the world.
To this day, the people of Ukraine show incredible courage and resilience in standing up to Russia.
This Government is fully committed to keeping Ukraine’s forces in the fight for their freedom.
The British public know what is at stake — and not just for Ukraine.
The threat Russia poses to our way of life is real and growing.
They know Putin is responsible for assassinations on our streets, spy ships in our waters and cyber attacks on our NHS.
And they know that across the world, we have more disorder and danger than at any time in a generation.
To face this, and deliver a stronger, safer Britain, we are backing our brave Armed Forces after years of hollowing out under the last Conservative government.
Let’s not forget that the last Conservative government cut defence spending by a fifth in their first term, left troop morale at record lows, and wasted billions as they mismanaged major procurement programmes.
So, top of the list of our priorities is looking after the outstanding men and women who make up our Armed Forces.
One of my first acts as Defence Secretary was to award a long-overdue and well-deserved pay rise — the largest in over 20 years — to serving personnel.
And this Government will continue do what is right by the people who put themselves in harm’s way for us and will make sure they have what they need to protect our nation.
This is also an opportunity to harness technological change and make defence an engine for British growth, innovation and jobs.
We will ensure the benefits of this historic boost to defence spending will be felt by working people across every nation and region of Britain.
Government defence spending already supports more than 400,000 British jobs.
This investment boost will give defence companies of all sizes confidence for the future, leading to the creation of more well-paid, high-skilled, meaningful jobs.
More young people will be offered apprenticeships and a route to a better life.
As well as growing the economy, we will reform defence to tackle waste and ensure the taxpayer is getting value for every pound spent.
Because it is not just how much we spend that matters, but how well we spend it.
That is why in his first few days in office, the Prime Minister launched a Strategic Defence Review, to assess the threats we face and the capabilities we need.
Warfighting readiness
As the nature of warfare changes every day on the battlefields of Ukraine, the Strategic Defence Review will map out a new era for UK defence — with a return to warfighting readiness and a Nato-first approach.
The UK has contributed more to Nato than any other European ally.
Our commitment is unshakeable.
Labour played a central role in Nato’s creation.
Seventy-five years on, the grave threat to freedom and democracy means that we must step up once more.
For years, politicians talked tough on defence.
Our Government is taking action.
It will mean our servicemen and women are better supported and it will mean more British jobs and a stronger economy.
Our Labour Government is proud of Britain and proud of our Armed Forces.
And we are taking the bold action needed to make Britain better defended.
We will meet the growing threats of this new era by making Britain secure at home, and strong abroad.
