Emma Raducanu deletes Instagram weeks after stalker hell left her in tears in Dubai

EMMA RADUCANU has deleted Instagram weeks after her terrifying stalker hell.

The British tennis star was forced to go through weeks of hell after she was the victim of a sickening stalker ordeal from a “fixated” so-called fan in during the Dubai Open in February.

The 22-year-old was left in tears when she spotted the stalker just two points into her round of 32 match, with Raducanu’s former coach revealing they had followed her for 3,600 miles.

Raducanu pointed out the man, who had approached her in a public area the day before, before he was removed by security and arrested by Dubai Police as she burst into tears behind the umpire’s chair.

Charges were later dropped by Raducanu but the man has signed a restraining order stating he must stay away from the Kent player – and he is banned from future WTA tennis events.

The British women’s No.2 was back on the court this month at the Indian Wells Masters in California, United States, after insisting she did not want to take a break from competing.

World No.61 Raducanu had travelled to the WTA 1000 tournament with extra security detail in tow after it was also revealed she had been dealing with the her sickening stalker for three months.

However, she was dispatched 6-3, 6-2 by Japanese star Moyuka Uchijima in the first round.

She has since been on the receiving end of criticism after allegedly breaking Wimbledon’s strict all-white dress code during training ahead of last year’s tournament.

The sensational report from the Daily Mail claimed she wore a pink outfit instead when practicing on the grounds, leading to one anonymous member of the All England Club being left annoyed.

Raducanu has since taken the decision to deactivate her Instagram page.

She had boasted three million followers on the page.

It is unclear whether the decision was taken in light of her stalker ordeal or something else.

Weeks ago Raducanu had changed the bio on her Instagram page to say: “Ad astra per aspera.”

This is a Latin phrase that means “to the stars through hardships”.

The next event on the WTA is the Miami Open.

Raducanu pulled out of the 2024 tournament through injury, but is expected to take part in this year’s event.

We left the UK for cosmopolitan city where there’s no GP waiting lists, no silly school fines & a tank of petrol is £30

STANDING at her local supermarket checkout Lyndsey Thomas  watches  the cashier tallying her family shop for the week.

When she sees the total of £200 flash up on the monitor Lynsey does a double take.

“Are you sure that’s correct?,” she asks the cashier.

It’s worlds away from the pricey £300 per week British mum is used to, but it is just one of the many benefits of moving to Toronto, Canada.

Since Lyndsey, 45, moved with her husband and two teenagers to the city she has discovered that not only is the weather better but the cost of living is cheaper.

Lyndsey has thus far saved thousands on her gas and electric bill and can fill up the family car for just £30 compared to around £69 in the UK.

The family get free access to swimming pools and skating rinks just a few streets from their home and  can enjoy a Chinese, sushi or pizza takeout for four people for less than £35.

Unlike the UK where NHS waiting lists are causing untold agony, Lyndsey and her family can get emergency same day appointments with their GP and face no waiting for surgery using Canada’s free universal health care system.

Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Lynsey says: “It’s been a revelation.

“We fled Britain for Canada three years ago. It’s cheaper, we have a better life and more of our friends are following our lead.

“My husband needed hand surgery. It took six weeks from the time he saw as GP to when he had the operation. He’d still be waiting for an appointment with a consultant if we still lived in England.

“Petrol is cheaper, eating out is a bargain, swimming pools, ice rinks and specialist dog parks are all free to use.

“We don’t have to pay a vehicle tax or MOT each year. Even public transport is a bargain.

Mum of two and marketing agency owner Lyndsey,45, and her husband Ian ,50, a railway engineer are parents to Teddy, 13, and Ferne, 10, leapt at the chance to relocate.

“We’d come through the worst of the pandemic, and we had this amazing chance to live and work in Canada,” she says.

“The cost of living was spiralling, and we decided to flee our home in Ilkney, West Yorks,  to move halfway across the globe.

“Four years later I am thrilled we made the right decision. The kids love living here. Every time we holiday back home, we’re reminded why we chose to make the move.”

And she isn’t the only one.

Office of National Statistics figures reveal more Britain’s are fleeing the country and choosing to live overseas than ever before.

In 2022 almost 471,000 British people emigrated to other countries, while up to June 2023, this number rose to 508,000 Brits leaving the UK.

A Currencies Direct study showed  23% of Brits—the equivalent of 12.3 million UK adults  are considering moving abroad in the next five years. While 12% of people want to move in 2025.

The British Expat Report found 39% of Brits cited the cost of living crisis, rising property prices and better job prospects as their reasons for leaving.

Between 2021 and 2022 when Lynsey and her family moved to Canada more than 11,000 Brits were admitted to Canada as permanent residents

Canada’s queue free and high-quality universal healthcare, safe environment, and top-notch education are the top reasons Brits choose to live in the northern American country.

“The education is great here,” Lyndsey says.

“You don’t get a fine for taking the children out of school for a holiday in term time. It means travelling during the non-holiday period is possible and saves us a fortune.

“The kids don’t have to wear a school uniform which makes my children more responsible when it comes to selecting outfits and planning their school week.

“The children are now taught  via regular more assessment based  testing not one final exam and it means there is no exam pressure rather  constant learning and checking which makes them feel less pressured

“I feel they achieve more and learn more,” she says.

“The education is more relaxed, and my kids are doing better here than in Britain.”

I do miss Lidl and the middle aisle

Lyndsey Thomas

“Children must stay in school until they are 18 and then can go to college or university.

The couple are currently renting a 3-bedroom, three-bathroom Victorian semi- detached house in central Toronto for £2,900 a month which includes the equivalent of council tax and plan to buy when residency papers come through.

“We sold our 4 bedroom house in Britain  for £650k  after extensive renovations almost drove us crazy.

“It was costing us £900 a month  to cover basic council tax, energy, water, internet and phone bills.

“In London £2,900 a month would get us a two-bedroom flat,” Lyndsey says.

“Our rented house has off-street parking, a garden and a huge basement which almost every home has. It’s a revelation.

“Gas and electricity are really cheap. The house has central heating and air conditioning. We pay £95 a month even in winter. After eye watering bills back home, I nearly fell over.”

The family’s water bills are £170 a quarter, internet costs £62 a month and Lyndsey says the mobile bill is £107 a month.

In Britain a family of four pays  £448 a year for water,  gas and electric is  £1639 annually, council tax, which is set to rise in April, for band D property is £2171 yearly and internet and mobile costs £49.59  on a monthly basis and unbundled mobile costs  for a family of four is £128.

In Canada the Thomas family pays £320 a month for basic household utilities while here in Britain the cost is £531.80 on average.

That means Britain is 49% more expensive than Canada for Lynsey and her brood.

The family has also discovered plane tickets are a bargain in Canada.

A flight to New York which is the equivalent of London to Edinburgh return is £160 per person for the family.

The family now holidays in the US, The Caribbean and Mexico all just a four-hour flight away.

Family holidays are more accessible and cost effective,” Lyndsey says.

The mum of two spends an average of £800 a month on food shopping for a family of four including food, cleaning products and households’ items.

“I buy  more fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fresh daily bread than I ever had access to in Britain.

“Bread is around £1.69 a loaf, an organic chicken for the Sunday roasts costs up to £8.50, with fillet steak scanning at £6.70 a kilo,” she says.

“Cheese is super expensive. The equivalent of a small block of supermarket labelled cheddar cheese is around £11 while back home we’d pay £2.50.”

Moving house hacks

1. Declutter Before You Pack

Sort through your belongings and get rid of anything you no longer need. Donate, sell, or recycle items to lighten your load.

2. Create an Inventory

Make a list of all your items. This helps keep track of everything and ensures nothing gets lost in the move.

3. Use Quality Packing Materials

Invest in sturdy boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape. This will protect your belongings during the move.

4. Label Everything

Clearly label each box with its contents and the room it belongs to. This makes unpacking much easier and more organized.

5. Pack a ‘First Day’ Box

Include essentials like toiletries, a change of clothes, snacks, and important documents. This will keep you from rummaging through boxes on your first day.

6. Take Photos of Electronics Setup

Before unplugging your electronics, take photos of the wiring setup. This will make it easier to reconnect everything at your new place.

7. Use Suitcases for Heavy Items

Pack books and other heavy items in rolling suitcases. This makes them easier to transport and reduces the risk of injury.

8. Colour-Code Your Boxes

Use different coloured stickers or markers for each room. This will help movers quickly identify where each box should go in your new home.

“While ten eggs for Lynsey cost £5. The eggs are more expensive than a cooked chicken for £6.

There is one major downside to food shopping in Canada.

“I do miss Lidl and the middle aisle,” she admits.

Lyndsey says ordering take out is no longer an expensive monthly treat.

“We get takeout a couple of times  a week. A sushi dinner for our family of four costs us £30, a family size pizza is just £ 4.51 and Chinese takeaway is around £30,” she says.

In Britain a study by Verdict Foord Services estimates a family of four spends up to £60 on a Chinese takeaway while Nimblefins and Menuprice.co.uk estimate  a sushi takeaway for four will set you back between £60 to £100 and pizza for a family of four including drinks and garlic bread home delivered will cost up to £60.

“We were paying up to £100 for two adults and two teens back home. We can afford to eat out more and get high quality takeaway on a Friday or a special treat on the weekend.

“It’s often cheaper to order a family meal of sushi for £40 than buy the ingredients and make it at home.”

Going out for date night Ian pays £4.50 for a pint of beer, and Lyndsey gets a  glass of house wine for £4.

“I can enjoy a cocktail for £6 depending on the venue,” she says.

In  London the average pint sets you back £6.50, a bottle of house wine starts at £15 and the standard cocktail in London starts at £13.

This makes the cost of a beer in Canada 36% less expensive and a cocktail 73% less costly.

Friends in Britain are always asking me about the cost of living here and can’t believe how cheap some items are

Lyndsey Thomas

“I can take the kids to the cinema for £3.95 a ticket. Popcorn is just as expensive as it is back home.”

The family is now looking to find a permanent residence in the city.

“We’re looking to buy a family home in the centre of Toronto like the one we are renting and expect to pay around £750k,” she says.

According to WOWA.ca, a leading online finance website the national average house price in August this year was the equivalent of £376k  taking into account regional differences  with banks offering fixed term mortgage rates of between 4.39% and 5.22%. Sixty six percent of Canadians are homeowners.

Back in Britain, the Office of National Statistics says 62.5% of households have mortgages.

Affirmative Data finance reports the average house price of a four bedroom house in Britain is £428k taking into account regional differences and  in London a similar property costs an average of £1.2 million. The interest rate with a 10% deposit is currently 5.18% for  a two year fixed rate mortgage.

“Banks encourage the purchase of second and third homes and happily extend credit,” Lyndsey says.

“It’s uncommon not to own a house and also have a cottage or holiday home.

“You don’t get stung with extra taxes or second home criticism. It’s much easier here to buy a second home by releasing equity in your first home. “

Lyndsey says the weather is certainly better than Britain.

“We have long hot summers and amazing winters,” she says.

“The kids have learnt to ski because snow resorts are only two hours away. We could not afford that hobby back in Britain.

“We do miss family and friends, but the Canadian lifestyle is much more relaxed.

£People are less stressed, the pace of life even in the city is quieter and crime rates are low.”

“I worried about how the kids would cope but they love living here. It’s an eye opener for us.

“Friends in Britain are always asking me about the cost of living here and can’t believe how cheap some items are.

“We thought we’d always call England home, now Canada is our forever home.”

Trolls say my council estate looks like Shameless – and mock me for going to the shops in a dressing gown & bare feet

AN INFLUENCER has light-heartedly spilled the beans on what it’s like living on a council estate which trolls have brutally compared to Shameless.

Trewley Precious, who previously revealed she loves walking around barefoot and in her dressing gown, said that some of the remarks and comparisons make her laugh.

The young woman said she walks to the shops with curlers in her hair and tint on her eyebrows but nobody bats an eyelid

The blonde beauty told the rising star GK Barry: ”I do get funny comments about my council estate. I should be offended – but they’re so funny.

”Someone put on my thing ‘Your estate looks like the Shameless‘,” the council icon was in hysterics.

”I was literally reading it walking to the shop barefoot.”

Trewley, who’s become a favourite on social media, with a staggering 54.7 million likes on TikTok, added that although the area was ”deprived” there was a strong sense of community.

The influencer – who previously listed the strict rules travellers allegedly have to abide by – said: ”Like, if you were outside having a fight, they’d back you.

”If you were outside and needed money, they’d give you what they have.”

The young stunner has even whipped up meals for her neighbours on several occasions, including her famous jacket potato and toast with tomatoes.

”I’ll always mention my council estate – because I won’t forget what they’ve done,” she shared with the I’m a Celebrity star in her Saving Grace podcast.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Trewley hasn’t witnessed some crazy things on the estate, including machete attacks.

She shared with GK Barry, 25: ”A few years ago, I was in my house and I could hear screaming and I was like ‘What is that?’

”So, I come outside and I see my neighbours down the strip of the road, like looking round the bend.

”I see my opposite neighbour trying to look. Three of us ran out – all women […] – ran around the corner to the alleyway where we could hear the screaming.”

What the three stumbled across horrified them.

”We saw a boy pinned to the floor with two boys with machetes – and they’re obviously about to juke him.”

Facts on gypsy and traveller communities

Typically, gypsies is a term used to describe Romani people who migrated to Europe from India while traveller refers to a person with either Irish, Scottish or English heritage.

Around 300,000 Gypsy, Roma and Irish travellers are thought to live in the UK.

All three groups come from nomadic ways of life, however, as it is increasingly difficult to find land to live on, many are moving into permanent housing.

They place high value on family life and often live close together even after reaching adult years and getting married.

Often the men are the breadwinners of the family while the women stay home.

While many English gypsy girls are allowed to drink alcohol and go on holiday with their friends before they get married, their Irish counterparts are not.

But witnessing a potentially fatal attack – or even risking their own lives – wasn’t enough to stop the trio from quickly interrupting the machete-carrying youth.

”But our natural thing was ‘Oy, oy, what are you doing?!’

”Literally, as I said it, I thought ‘I’m next. You idiot, you replied’.

”But I did help him – the boy. They ran off and then I cleaned him up inside and I said to him ‘Go down the back alleyway’.”

Trewley, who explained she’s ”a Gypsy from the travelling community”, claimed that despite being in her mid-20s she still has a strict curfew and has to be home by 11pm.

”Everyone thinks I’m joking – I’m literally not.”

On one occasion, the influencer told the millionaire star, the birthday bash got shut early after her brother got so intoxicated no one else wanted to stay out without him.

”My brother was in the club – we got so drunk, he got carried out.

”Cause he got carried out and he left, my sister was like ‘Well, he’s left, then we’re going home. Like, it was automatic.

”It’s a completely different way of life.”

Trewley, who sadly lost her dear father almost three years ago, went on: ”If mu dad was her now [in the studio] and his friends walked in, there is no way we could be in the same room.

”My automatic thing would be to get up, be like ‘Do you want a drink?’ If they say no, I leave – if they do, I’ll get them a drink then I leave.”

Looking glam is a must

Previously, the young beauty has spilled the beans on the community on several occasions – even claiming that she got her first spray tan aged nine.

She said: “Now, one of the biggest rules in the house was the girls always had to be glam, always has to look presentable, no matter her age.”

Trewley recalled how her mum was putting make-up on her at the young age of seven – and got her first-ever set of acrylics at the unripe age of 11.

The blonde beauty revealed if she were to go out with friends her parents would sit outside the garden and keep a close eye on them all.

She added: “They wanna know your mum, your dad, your grandparents, your auntie, where you live in this state, how long you lived here for, what’s your occupation.

“They start questioning you like they’re the Old Bill.”

Inside Zara McDermott’s savage love life as she’s linked to Louis Tomlinson… From ‘toxic’ jibes to her X Factor affair

LOVE Island alumni Zara McDermott has sparked romance rumours with One Direction’s very own Louis Tomlinson.

It comes after the 28-year-old called it quits with long-term boyfriend Sam Thompson, 32, shortly after Christmas.

Zara further fuelled speculation when she dropped Louis a click on a recent modelling photo that he shared[/caption]

The popular pair, who appeared on Made In Chelsea together, struggled to paper over the insecurities and cracks in their five-year relationship, following a cheating scandal and family feuds.

Fans of Two of Us singer Louis, 33, are convinced that he’s now the new man on documentary-maker Zara’s roster.

Earlier this week, the pair’s followers went into overdrive when they noticed they had both recently started following each on Instagram.

Not only that, eagle-eyed fans spotted that Louis’ sisters – including influencer Lottie Tomlinson, 26, and twins Daisy and Phoebe, 20 – follow Zara too.

Speculation that they are now dating was further fuelled after it has been noticed that they have “liked” each other’s recent sexy pics on Instagram.

Zara dropped Louis a click on a recent modelling photo that he shared, while he returned the favour of a snap pic of her in her stunning white gown at the Brit Awards.

It’s not the first time that Zara’s love life has played out publicly.

In fact, following her shooting to fame on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018, most of her love life has happened in the spotlight.

She entered the villa as a “bombshell” contestant on Day 15 and coupled up with Adam Collard, 29, before being dumped from the show ten days later.

The pair continued their relationship outside of the villa for a few months, but it met its end in February 2019.

‘Toxic’ Jibes

Adam reportedly dumped Zara by text, prompting her to post a devastated Instagram story.

She penned: “‘I have tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be and to make it work.

“Sometimes in life, you just aren’t enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or how much you try to be.”

Months after the split, Zara shared a reflective social media post in which she retrospectively branded their relationship as “toxic”.

She said that it was so bad she even considered giving up fame and returning to her job as a government policy adviser.

She wrote on Instagram: “At the start of the year I finally walked away from a toxic relationship that was more damaging than I knew. It stripped me of all my confidence going through this in the public eye.

“I almost gave up this whole life and I wanted to go back and work in Government, and I wanted things to go back to how they were before Love Island. However, I decided not to.”

Zara went on to describe a holiday she went on with friends, who helped her feel “good again”.

The Ex Factor

The Love Island alumni was in a new relationship with another reality TV heart throb by May 2019 – Sam Thompson.

The Made In Chelsea star even told OK Magazine that Zara made the first move, saying: “She slid into my DMs. It was great and I’m glad she did.”

The pair went Instagram official the following month and, by August, Zara was gearing up to join her new beau at work on season 18 of the reality show.

She officially graced the Made In Chelsea line-up in October.

By November 2019, Zara had a flourishing television career… But it wasn’t long until it started crumbling in front of her.

She joined her fellow Love Island stars Wes Nelson, Eyal Booker and Samira Mighty on The X Factor: Celebrity as part of a band.

However, rumours began swirling that she had cheated on her new beau with music boss, Brahim Fouradi.

Zara denied the allegations at first, and managed nearly a year keeping her secret under wraps.

YOU CAN!

Zara came clean in October 2020 and admitted to Sam that she had slept with someone else. She also posted a confessional message on social media when news of the affair became public.

Her apology post read: “A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on.

“I don’t condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature. I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake.

“I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt.”

Zara and Sam’s first conversation after her confession played out on Made In Chelsea, and has since become somewhat of a meme.

Sam was recorded telling her: “The seediness of when you’re consistently shagging, when you’re calling me to tell me that you can’t come home, when the rest of your band are at home, in bed with their other halves.”

When he told her “I can’t do it”, she cried back with the now-viral phrase: “You can, you can do it! You can. You can.”

The pair stayed split up for a few months before ultimately reconciling and continuing to appear on Made In Chelsea together.

However, after five years in December 2024, Zara and Sam called time for good.

And although neither are yet to address the break-up directly, it’s believed it was largely down to their increasingly busy schedules keeping them apart.

A source previously lifted the lid on the reasons behind the split, telling MailOnline: “Sam and Zara have ended their relationship.

“It’s been an incredibly difficult decision for them to part ways; they still care and have a lot of love for each other.

“But after a tough year of working hard at their romance, they have split and will be focusing on their individual careers going forward into 2025.

“There has been no scandal or fallout between them, it’s just the result of a difficult year, where they both had to spend a lot of time focused on their own projects.”
