Nwaneri produced a man of the match display against Leicester City a fortnight ago and looked set for an extended run in the first team in the continued absences of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
The Gunners are back in action tomorrow night against Champions League chasing Nottingham Forest at the City Ground and Arteta is hopeful Nwaneri will be fit enough to feature.
Arteta said: ‘Ethan [Nwaneri] was just cramping, obviously his load has been very different in recent weeks, but he’s fine. Bukayo [Saka] & Gabi [Martinelli], they are progressing really well, but still a bit far to come back.’

While they remain in the midst of an injury crisis, not helped by Myles Lewis-Skelly’s upcoming suspension, the return of Ben White represents a welcome boost.
The versatile defender has missed over three months following knee surgery but made his comeback a second half substitute last weekend.
‘He is a player that has given us something very special, especially in that right unit,’ said Arteta.
‘We haven’t played the right unit at all this season with him, Bukayo [Saka] and Martin [Odegaard].
‘It is great to have him back, more options, his energy, the way he is around the team. He certainly has been missed.’
Liverpool’s win over Manchester City on Sunday, meanwhile, meant the runaway leaders extended the gap at the top to 11 points, albeit having played a game more, but Arteta is not ready to concede the title.
He said: ‘If not I will go home. Mathematically it is possible. You are there, you have to play every game, suddenly three days ago we could close a gap and you are like ‘you are one-and-a-half games away’. It doesn’t matter, we have to continue to go.
‘The difficulty is higher than three days about but if you are going to win the Premier League you have to do something special.
‘If you are going to win the Premier League with the circumstances we have you will probably have to do something that nobody else has done in the history of the Premier League.’

A BRITISH nepo-baby cut a glam figure in a check-print jacket and huge hoop earrings as she stepped out with her dad at London Fashion Week.
The 25-year-old businesswoman, who co-owns a shop with her musician father, oozed sass in the short-sleeve outerwear paired with a red and black patterned shirt underneath.

Missy Albarn, daughter of Blur frontman Damon Albarn, 56, looked right at home in the star-studded surroundings of designer Burberry’s London Fashion Week show.
She paired her outfit with pinstripe trousers and white high-top trainers, finishing off her look with a printed bag.
She swept her red hair into a low bun with front pieces framing her face and kept her make-up fresh.
Her proud Britpop star dad Damon opted for more neutral tones, with a white T-Shirt and stone coloured shirt cover up, paired with grey wide-legged joggers and white trainers.
The Park Life vocalist added a pop of colour with a green baseball cap and red-rimmed glasses.
He stood close by Missy as they posed for pictures on the Red Carpet before entering the event.
They were seen enjoying a chat before they headed inside.
Damon, who confessed in 2023 to writing his new album in secret, rocketed to fame as the main lyricist and frontman of rock band Blur.
He is also co-creator of virtual band Gorillaz.
And no doubt his celebrity connections will have helped Missy bag an invitation to one of fashion’s hottest events of the season.
Damon was seen sobbing at Blur’s final Wembley gig in 2023 – with his secret heartache later revealed to be due to the break-up of his 25-year relationship with wildlife artist and photographer Suzi Winstanley, who is Missy’s mum.
CLOSE BOND
In the aftermath of the split, Damon was said to be focusing on Missy, with whom he is very close.
He even credited her as the inspiration for the recent collaboration between his musical side project Gorillaz and Latin superstar Bad Bunny, after she and a friend introduced him to the rapper’s music.
What is a Nepo Baby?
A ‘nepo baby’ is a colloquial term used to describe individuals who have gained opportunities or success in their careers primarily due to familial connections or the influence of their well-known or wealthy parents, rather than solely through their own talent, skills, or efforts.
The term ‘nepo’ is short for ‘nepotism’, which refers to favouritism granted to relatives or close friends, often in a professional context.
Key Characteristics:
Inherited advantage: Nepo babies often benefit from their family’s established reputation, wealth, or industry connections.
Access to networks: They typically have easier access to influential networks and resources within their chosen field.
Public perception: The term can carry a negative connotation, implying that their success is not entirely merit-based.
Industries Affected:
Entertainment: Many actors, musicians, and other performers are often labeled as nepo babies if they have famous parents.
Business: Individuals who inherit or are given significant roles in family-owned businesses.
Politics: Politicians who follow in the footsteps of their parents or other relatives.
Examples:
Children of famous actors who become actors themselves.
Heirs to business empires who assume executive roles.
Offspring of political figures who enter public office.
The concept of nepo babies is often debated, with some arguing that it undermines the notion of meritocracy.
Meanwhile, others believe that it is natural for families to support and help each other succeed.
Damon recalled to us: “They grew up together and went to the Spanish school at the top of our road, so they’re attuned to Latin music and into reggaeton.
“Towards the end of lockdown, when everything was opening up, we went to Jamaica to do the Gorillaz EP, Meanwhile.
“And because Bad Bunny lives in Puerto Rico, which is close by, it was the perfect place for us to meet up.
“I went with my daughter and her mates and so they got to meet him too.”
BUSINESS PARTNERS
The pair have also gone into business together.
They run a homeware shop called West Town in Westbourne Grove, London.
It sells art, posters, bags and much more and its Instagram bio states: “West Town is a place full of gorgeous things.
“Filled with things we’ve found and things we’ve made, objects we love and pieces that inspire us.”
Both Missy and Damon are directors and it also has an online offering.

THIS is the moment an Aussie couple was left in tears after being forced to sit next to a dead woman for hours in a long-haul flight.
Mitchell Ring and Jennifer Colin were travelling to Venice on a Qatar Airways flight when a fellow shockingly collapsed when the plane was mid-air.

And despite the cabin crew’s desperate efforts, the woman could not be saved.
Covered in a blanket, her body was then put on the vacant seat right next to where Mr Ring and Ms Collin were sitting.
The couple was even asked to move over to make room for the body.
For more than four hours, Mr Ring and Ms Collin were forced to sit next to the corpse – and the experience left them traumatised.
A tearful Ms Colin told A Current Affair: “My husband turned around and asked me to move to make space. I was pretty shocked and I said, ‘Are they going to put her there?'”
Mr Ring added: “They went to try and move her, they brought this chair down… and they put her in it and tried to wheel her up towards business class.
“But she was quite a large lady, and they couldn’t get her through the aisle.”
“Unfortunately, the lady couldn’t be saved, which was pretty heartbreaking to watch.”
The Aussie couple said that they were not taken care of by the crew of the passenger jet, claiming that they failed to relocate them away from the body.
They were even forced to stay on board when medical officers began examining the dead woman when the flight landed in Doha.
Mr Ring says one of the officers uncovered the woman’s face in front of her wife.
He added that no one from the airlines contacted them after the horror ordeal.
“I can’t believe they told us to stay… it wasn’t nice,” Mr Ring said.
“They have a duty of care towards their customers as well as their staff, we should be contacted to make sure, do you need some support, do you need some counselling?
“I don’t really know how I feel and would like to speak to somebody to make sure I’m alright.”
The Aussie couple, who are in Venice for their dream holiday, says it is a hard situation.
Ms Colin said: “I’m trying to make the best of a pretty hard situation, but, you know, we’re on holiday so we’re really trying to have a good time.”
Qatar Airways has since indicated it is looking into the incident, Daily Mail reports.
The couple booked the flight tickets through Qantas – the flagship carrier of Australia.
A spokesperson for Qantas said: “Ms Colin booked tickets through Qantas and travelled with Qatar Airways, a fellow Oneworld Alliance carrier.
“The process for handling incidents onboard an aircraft like this is managed by the operating airline, which in this case is Qatar Airways.”
Qatar Airways said it was in the process of contacting impacted passengers.
A spokesperson for Qatar Airways said in a statement: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the passenger who sadly passed away on board our flight.
“We apologise for any inconvenience or distress this incident may have caused, and are in the process of contacting passengers in line with our policies and procedures.”
The Sun has reached out to Qatar Airways for comment.
What happens when a passenger dies during a flight?
WHEN a passenger dies during a flight, the crew member must check if they can provide any medical assistance to the passenger and revive them.
If the death is confirmed, then the crew will respectfully move the body to an empty row or business class – ideally away from fellow passengers.
They are then required to cover the body with a blanket for the rest of the flight.
If necessary, the plane may be diverted to the nearest airport to handle the situation properly
The pilots may or may not choose to divert the flight to make an emergency landing.
After landing, local authorities will be contacted to take care of the body, and the airline will assist the family with the necessary arrangements.
Some rules may differ depending on the airline companies’ policies.
The aircraft, flying from Tenerife to the UK, was forced to divert to the Spanish mainland on Friday evening after a passenger suffered a fatal medical emergency.
The nationality of the passenger isn’t known, but he was reported to be in his 70s.
3 weeks agoNew York StateComments Off on Seven money changes coming in March – including benefits change, fare hike and Spring Budget
MARCH will see some major money changes including a key tweak to benefits, train fare hikes and the Chancellor’s Spring Budget.
There are also a number of deadlines coming up, including the end of the current round of the Household Support Fund and the last day to complete on a house purchase if you’re looking to avoid stamp duty costs.
KB914P British UK money sterling ¿10 and ¿5 notes GBP and a pile of new issue pounds one pound coins cash. Saving money savings concept. England UK BritainAlamy
Here are all the bigmoneychanges you can expect to see in March and what they mean for you.
March 2 – Train fare hike
Millions of travellers will see rail fares increase by 4.6% from March 2 as the annual price rise kicks in.
The rise, which was announced in the Autumn Budget, is set to deliver a fresh blow to passengers who use the train to commute.
Following the increase, the cost of a yearly ticket from Rugby to London will rise by £496.62 to £11,292.62.
And the commute from Milton Keynes to London will leap by £357.33 to £8,125.33.
The 4.6% rise will apply to around 45% of all ticket prices in England, Scotland and Wales.
Those services impacted include season tickets on most commuter journeys, some off-peak return tickets on long-distance routes, and flexible tickets for travel around major cities.
Train operators set rises in other unregulated fares, although these are likely to be very close to changes in regulated ticket prices.
The government has said the rise is the “the lowest absolute increase in three years”, however this is likely to be little consolation to travellers and commuters.
March 20 – BoE interest rate decision
The Bank of England (BoE) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) will meet to set its base rate on March 20.
The base rate is the rate charged to smaller high street banks and building societies and impacts savings and mortgage rates.
The MPC last met in February when it reduced the base rate from 4.75% to 4.5% – the third interest rates cut since 2020.
February’s reduction gave millions of mortgage holders hope of a decrease in bills.
However, it was less favourable news for savers, who were left facing a drop in the interest rates on their savings accounts.
The BoE typically raises interest rates when inflation is high to encourage people to save rather than spend their money, thereby slowing demand, which eases the rate of price rises.
And, with an unexpected jump in inflation reported in February, it could be unlikely March will bring a further cut.
March 26 – Spring Budget
Chancellor Rachel Reeves will deliver the spring Budget on Wednesday March 26.
She will make a statement to the House of Commons detailing upcoming tax and spending changes.
The chancellor will also discuss the latest fiscal forecast from the Office for Budget Responsibility.
The Spring Budget is not expected to be a fiscal event on the scale of the Autumn Budget, which saw the chancellor unveil £40billion in tax hikes.
However, many will be hoping to hear announcements that could stimulate the economy following sluggish growth and January’s inflation rise.
March 31 – Current Household Support Fund round to end
The Household Support Fund will end on March 31 2025, after being extended multiple times.
Through the fund, vulnerable households can claim support to help with the cost of living.
The funding is supplied from a £421million pot provided by the Department for Work and Pensions.
The fund was first introduced in October 2021 and has been extended five times.
Councils get a portion of the cash based on their population, size, catchment area, and need, which they allocate to vulnerable households.
It is worth checking in with your local council to see if you can claim extra help before the scheme closes.
March 31 – Winter Fuel Payment claims deadline
Claims for the 2024/25 Winter Fuel Payment must have been received by the Department of Work and Pensions by March 31.
The Winter Fuel Payment is a state benefit paid once a year to pensioners to help cover the cost of heating during colder months.
The handout was previously available to everyone aged above 66 and helped with high energybills.
From November 2024, those still eligible began receiving automatic payments of up to £300.
Payments continued to be made throughout December, with most eligible recipients receiving the funds automatically.
To have been eligible pensioners need to have received one of the qualifying benefits during the qualifying week, which was September 16-22.
If you should have received the benefit and have not, you still have time to claim.
Those who may not have received the payment automatically include those living overseas.
You can contact the Winter Fuel Payment Centre on 0800 731 0160.
March 31 – Universal Credit migration deadline
Recipients of five benefits will need to have migrated to Universal Credit by the end of March or risk seeing their payments stopped.
The final migration notices for those receiving five legacy benefits were sent out by the end of December 2024.
The benefits impacted are:
Working tax credits
Child tax credits
Income-based jobseeker’s allowance
Income support
Housing benefit (for those under the State Pension age)
All five benefits will be permanently discontinued from April.
If you received a managed migration notice in December 2024, you need to have applied for Universal Credit by the end of March to ensure your payments continue without interruption.
Between July 2022 and September 30, 2024, the Department for Work and Pensions sent almost 1.4million migration notices.
