Huge nineties boyband CONFIRMS reunion as member announces his return 11 years after quitting group

A HUGE 90s boyband is reuniting after a member announced his return 11 years after quitting the pop group.

Taking to X tonight, Abz Love confirmed he is once again part of 5ive, rejoining Sean Conlon, Ritchie Neville and Scott Robinson.

The boys were a phenomenon in the late 90s[/caption]

He shared the Tweet announcing his exit from the band in August 2014 and wrote: “As of today I am once again a member of @itsfiveofficial Thank you to all the fans who support us, I love you all..”

The official 5ive account shared the post along with Thursday’s date and the word “Loading…”

Jason ‘J’ Brown is yet to state whether or not he is coming back to complete the full lineup, though fans are hopeful.

One commented: “Ooo this is exciting.”

Another said: “It’s happening…it’s really happening!”

A third wrote: “Waiting for a J now and a new album.”

There had been signs a reunion was on the cards.

Last week the group’s official Instagram account shared a clip from Euston Station with the lyrics to their best-loved song – Keep On Movin’ – running along the ticker board.

Once again, it was captioned “27.02.25 Loading…” and included a link to their website.

Others pointed out that all band members have wiped their profiles – in a hint they are all on board.

Fans also uncovered a new company created last year called All Five Ltd, with all five band members listed as directors on Companies House.

The boys split on 27 September 2001, but have reunited several times over the years.

In 2006 they performed without Sean briefly, and then in 2012 tried again – this time with Sean but without J.

Most recently Sean, Ritchie and Scott, performed together as a trio.

J was left gobsmacked when his bandmates accused of him of being a bully when they appeared on The Big Reunion, in 2013

He later hit back, saying: “I thought, ‘I actually can’t believe what I’m hearing and who I’m hearing it from’. I was loud and a bit aggressive at times, and I was physically bigger than them so I can see how that could have been taken a certain way.

“But never in my mind was I so-called bullying people.”

On the show, fans were stunned as the band rowed about their split, with Ritchie raging: “There were two obnoxious people who ruined it for us – Sean and J.”

Five's best loved songs

  • Slam Dunk (Da Funk) – released in 1997
  • When the Lights Go Out – released in 1998
  • Got the Feelin’ – released in 1998
  • Everybody Get Up – released in 1998
  • If Ya Gettin’ Down – released in 1999
  • Keep On Movin – released in 1999
  • We Will Rock You” – released in 2000
  • Let’s Dance – released in 2001

Made by Firefly Solar Light Co, the solar-powered LED light from Home Bargains is shaped like a hot air balloon.

The colourful garden accessory automatically turns on after sundown and comes with a rechargeable battery.

Dangling from the delicate glass ‘balloon’ is a tiny gold basket.

Despite soaring costs of living, the bargain solar-powered light is one pound cheaper than when it first took shoppers by storm last year.

The popular light is now selling for £3.99 on the Home Bargains website.

B&M is selling a similar version for £4, and £8 for a larger size.

The light was launched by Home Bargains in May 2024 and immediately went viral, with shoppers racing to stores to grab the garden fixture.

Fans went so wild for the light that it sold out online within hours.

Home Bargains kept restocking the hot air balloon light, only for it to sell out again – leading to shoppers flocking to Facebook in their thousands to show off the lights they’d managed to get their hands on.

Shoppers are reporting that Home Bargains has limited online sales of the balloons to four per customer until stocks last.

Photos of the lights were shared on the Bargain Lovers Facebook page, with hundreds of fans taking to the comments.

One shopper said: “For those waiting for the solar hanging hot air balloon lights to become available – you can now order online up to a max of 4. Get ordering whilst you can!”

“I bought one yesterday, I love it!” one wrote excitedly.

Nice! My ones from last year are still going strong,” another replied.

“I’ve got one and it looks lovely at night, it’s in a tree in my back garden, very bright too,” someone wrote.

With another comment adding: “I had some of these last year and they were beautiful. Mesmerising to watch.”

The 99p Home Bargains buy celebs love

But there’s a Home Bargains buy that people say works wonders for a cold – and it’s so popular even celebs are buying it.

TOWIE star Bobby Norris is the latest famous face to rave about the 99p product – Nuage’s vapour bath salts.

“Now when I tell you these sell out quick, this is what we’re at,” he said in a video on his TikTok page, turning the camera to show that there were only a few left on the shelf.

“It’s like locusts have been!”

He urged people to “run like a thief in the night” to their local Home Bargains, calling the product a “game changer”.

Taliban issues major update on Brit couple arrested in Afghanistan as family of pair in their 70s beg for release

THE Taliban has issued a major update on a British couple who were arrested in Afghanistan earlier this month.

Peter Reynolds, 79, and his wife Barbie, 75, were arrested on 1 February on their way back home to the Bamiyan province.

The tyrannical group has today said it will aim to release the Brits “as soon as possible”.

In a statement, Taliban official Abdul Mateen Qani told the BBC: “A series of considerations is being taken into account, and after evaluation, we will endeavour to release them as soon as possible.”

The pair were reportedly detained for teaching parenting skills to mothers.

An Afghan and an American national were also arrested at the same time.

Peter and Barbie Reynolds ran training schools in Afghanistan for 18 years, despite the rise of the tyrannical group in 2021.

The Reynolds were arrested on February 1 when they were returning to their home in the Bamiyan province, The Sunday Times reports.

The British couple, who married in Kabul in 1970, have had their home in Nayak raided by cops.

Employees at their training schools were also interrogated by the Taliban‘s police.

The couple’s family have desperately pleaded for their release.

Their daughter Sarah Entwistle, from Northamptionshire, revealed heartbreaking details about their terrifying arrest.

The pair were initially able to message their four children but the texts stopped after three days.

Peter and Barbie told their kids they were detained at the interior ministry, before their lines went down.

Sarah told The Sunday Times: “This is really bad.

“My mother is 75 and my father almost 80 and [he] needs his heart medication after a mini-stroke.

The couple ran five schools in Kabul, including a mother and children training school which was reportedly approved by The Taliban.

Barbie had even become the first woman to be recognised with a certificate of appreciation from the Taliban regime.

Sarah added: “They were just trying to help the country they loved.

“The idea they are being held because they were teaching mothers with children is outrageous.”

Peter and Barbie’s four children have sent a letter to the Taliban begging the horror group to let their parents go.

Sarah and her three brothers also emphasised that the couple were dual British and Afghan nationals.

The letter said: “We do not understand the reasons behind their arrest.

“They have communicated their trust in you, and that as Afghan citizens they will be treated well.”

The 8 essential tips to stop airlines losing your luggage & a 2-second trick that’ll help them recover it much quicker

IT’S every holidaymakers nightmare – stepping off the plane at your holiday destination only to find your luggage hasn’t made it with you.

Yet it happens to millions of us every year.

Make sure to keep essentials in your carry-on for emergencies

If you’re keen to avoid becoming part of that figure, there are 8 essential tips to help prevent it from happening, Chipolo says.

Get rid of old labels and stickers

It’s easy to avoid this job, but it’s always safer to remove old airline tags and stickers from your case.

Bags are scanned at multiple points along their journey so it can be easy to confuse scanners with old flight info.

Take emergency essentials in your carry-on

If the worst does happen and you’re left empty handed at the baggage carousel, this will help you cope with the first few days of your trip.

Make sure to pack things like your wallet, toothbrush, medicine, phone chargers and a spare pair of pants in your carry-on.

Invest in a recognisable luggage tag

Let’s face it – a lot of bags look the same, so it can be hard to identify them from a distance.

Invest in a tough, brightly-coloured luggage tag to make it easier to spot yours out of a line-up.

You can even purchase personalised luggage tags online if you like to mix style with practicality.

Keep your contact info inside your case

Don’t overlook the chance of your luggage tag being ripped off during transit – it’s common for cases to get chucked around on their journeys and even the toughest labels can be torn off.

For this reason, it’s a good idea to keep your contact details inside your bag too, so if a good Samaritan does find it and look inside, they’ll know how to reach you.

Purchase a smart luggage tag

Popping a smart tracker inside your case is an easy to way to locate your luggage in a flash.

iPhone users can connect a Bluetooth tracker to their phone’s ‘Find My’ app, they’ll just need to purchase an Apple Airtag or Chipolo’s Spot finder.

The ‘Find My’ app even has a Notify When Found feature, where other iPhone users can help you locate your lost luggage.

Android users don’t have access to the ‘Find My’ app, so they’ll need to rely on a Bluetooth GPS tracker, which has a more limited range.

Get rid of all loose straps from your luggage

Remove all straps that aren’t absolutely necessary for carrying your luggage.

This will make sure your bag doesn’t get hooked on anything while journeying through baggage handling.

Snap a quick pic of your luggage

Although this won’t prevent your luggage from going missing, this two-second hack is a great way to help identify your bag if it does.

If you have to reach out to the lost property department you’ll be able to easily show them what your luggage looks like, so they’re more able to find it.

Check-in early

Getting to check-in nice and early is the best way to make sure the airline staff can process your luggage in a calm and organised manner.

If you rock up late, you’ll cause them to rush, and this could mean your luggage gets sent to the wrong location – or worse still, it might be too late to get your luggage onboard at all.
