Bruno Fernandes ‘involved in half-time bust-up with Everton legend’ before inspiring Man Utd comeback

BRUNO FERNANDES was involved in a bust-up with former Everton star Derek Mountfield at half-time on Saturday, according to reports.

The Manchester United captain sparked his side’s comeback as he fired a free-kick past Jordan Pickford.

That came after his fallout with Mountfield over what appeared to be a bit of playful banter.

According to The Telegraph Mountfield jokingly mimed elbowing the United stars as they left the tunnel to re-enter the pitch after half-time.

But Fernandes took exception and exchanged some fiery words with the former defender, who was at Goodison being announced as an ‘Everton Giant’.

Fernandes’ half-time frustration was understandable as his team trailed 2-0 following a dreadful first-half performance.

Shambolic defending led to Beto‘s opener and the Red Devils were carved open again in the build-up to Abdoulaye Doucoure’s goal.

They offered nothing in attack and appeared to be drifting towards yet another defeat when Fernandes fired in from 25 yards.

Manuel Ugarte scored a second to rescue a point.

Rio Ferdinand slammed United’s first-half display, saying: “I’m sitting here and I don’t know if I have seen a United team this bad. It has been embarrassing in all different facets of the game.

“Yes, we can talk about quality, you talk about talent, but one thing which is unforgivable is a lack of desire.

“There’s instances in this game where Man Utd need to look at this Everton team and take examples from it. It’s embarrassing to sit here and watch it.

“We said they were going to have to come out and roll their sleeves up, because Everton would come out fighting.

“Man Utd haven’t done that. They’ve been pressed, they’ve been harried. They haven’t been able to deal with the press at all.

“They have chance after chance to clear the ball. Zero conviction, no-one taking over the situation.

“You’ve got to fight. You don’t come to Everton at this place, whatever form they’re in, and think you can roll them over easily. Man Utd have not understood that assignment from the first whistle.

“I hope [Amorim] went absolutely ballistic at the players. They were out-run, out-fought, out-jumped, every single department of the game. They were second best.”

Why Real Madrid may have no choice but to sell Vinicius Jr with Brazilian set to become billionaire ‘overnight’

REAL MADRID might have no choice but to sell superstar Vinicius Junior to Saudi Arabia.

Vinicius has been offered a lucrative five-year deal worth a staggering total of €1billion – which works out at £832million.

Real would never be able to match the Saudis’ bid for Vinicius

Vinicius, 24, has a contract with Real until 2027 and club president Florentino Perez can’t afford to let him go for nothing.

Madrid already benefitted from swooping Kylian Mbappe for no transfer fee from PSG.

With the Saudi’s not letting up on their pursuit of Vinicius, Madrid would surely receive a world-record fee.

In fact, Madrid’s share of the deal is believed to be around £237.5million, according to The Times.

That would be reasonable profit on a player bought for roughly £37million at the age of 18.

In that time, Vinícius has helped win two Champions League titles and three domestic titles among 13 trophies for Real in all.

Prising the Brazilian star away from them in his prime would be a huge statement of intent.

Vinicius could depart in the most incredible transfer in football history with in excess of €1billion being paid by Saudi Arabia.

No club has been named but there are four leading sides – Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, and Al-Shabab.

The Saudi Pro League shares out imported talent as a way of keeping the league competitive.

As of now, Madrid do not want to sell.

Yet those close to the club suspect it will happen as they fear losing him for nothing in two years time, according to The Times.

And Vinicius would be open to becoming the first overnight billionaire footballer.

Despite starring for Madrid, the Bernabeu outfit have proved that their next superstar is never far away.

Summer signing Mbappe was the star of Wednesday night’s heroics as the Frenchman bagged a stunning hat-trick in Madrid’s 3-1 demolition of Manchester City in the Champions League.

Vinicius Jr.'s Saudi contract offer broken down by year, week, hour, minute, and second.

Vinicius’ book of grievances include the abhorrent racism he has often faced in LaLiga and missing out on the Ballon d’Or to City midfielder Rodri in the summer.

He will still have the World Cup with Brazil as his global showcase.

Meanwhile, Saudi once lured players eyeing retirement savings, like N’Golo Kante and Roberto Firmino.

Manchester United had hopes of sending Casemiro there too in order to get his £350,00-a-week wages off the bill.

But the Middle Eastern nation’s recruitment plans have shifted towards young, current stars, with a promising football future.

Their big January recruit was the explosive Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, 21, who joined for £70million.

Both Starmer and Macron went over Russia‘s “barbaric full-scale invasion” and there were reportedly talks of placing Ukraine in the centre of negotiations.

Starmer shared his commitment to support Ukraine and it was said the UK and Europe must be united against “Russian aggression.”

A press release posted on Gov.uk revealed more discussions in the US would take place within the coming week.

A Downing Street spokesperson said: “The Prime Minister spoke with President Macron this afternoon.

“They began by discussing the third anniversary of Russia‘s barbaric full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which is a stark reminder that we must all work together to put Ukraine in the strongest possible position at this crucial moment for global security.

“The Prime Minister repeated the UK’s steadfast commitment to support Ukraine for as long as needed and reiterated the importance of Ukraine being at the centre of any negotiations to end the conflict.

“The UK and Europe must continue stepping up to meet their security needs and show united leadership in support of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression, which they would both discuss in the US in the coming week.

“The leaders agreed to stay in close contact.”

‘Goodness me’ – John Higgins leaves Eurosport commentator baffled after snooker star’s bizarre gaffe

JOHN Higgins was responsible for the strangest foul that even baffled Eurosport commentator Neal Foulds.

The Scot was in action at the World Open in China against Mark Davis.

Even though he won his tournament opener in Yushan 5-1, there was one moment when he even disgusted himself.

The four-time world champion was at the table when he attempted to put a pink.

However, his cue accidentally connected with a red he was cuing just above.

As the ball rolled across the tale, Higgins walked off annoyed and returned to his seat.

That prompted Foulds to share his shock at the bizarre incident.

“Goodness me, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that,” he said first.

As a replay was being shown, he added: “I haven’t seen a red ball move like that after no contact with the cue ball. It just went across the table.”

Higgins, who turns 50 this year, is without a ranking title in four years.

Although he’s still performing well, the former world No1 believes his lack of success is down to the fact he doesn’t practice as much.

“I’ll be honest, it’s not rocket science,” he told the Metro.

“I can do it in fits and bursts, but it’s maybe because you don’t put in the same level of practice as you used to do and that maybe comes back to haunt you at the critical moments in the big, big events.

“I’d love to be able to practice more, but I just can’t. My mind just can’t take it in. I just don’t have the capabilities to do it.

“I still love playing, I still love competing. I want to be competitive when I come to big events, of course I do, but that’s maybe the deciding factor of it. It can be as simple as that really.”

Mums are sharing their huge baby skincare hauls from ASDA and an Aveeno buy is just 88p

EVERY parent knows how quick baby products can add up.

However, Asda shoppers can now pick up skincare essentials for their little ones for just a fraction of the price.

Facebook/ExtremeCouponingAndBargainsUK

Posting on the group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, one Facebook user shared the impressive haul she picked up.

The mum explained that all 13 of her buys scanned at a significantly reduced rate.

She purchased the My Little Coco Bath & Body Bubbles in the scent aloe and pear.

The poster revealed that the 350 mililitre pump bottles only cost £1.56 each.

My Little Coco baby hygiene products currently retail for £6.25 from John Lewis.

As well as picking up eight of the budget body wash bottles, the mum also found an Aveeno product for even less.

She purchased five of the Aveeno Baby Daily Care Hair and Body Wash products from Asda.

The 100 mililitre tube was previously available for £3.50 from the chain.

However, the Facebook user revealed that she was able to nab them for just 88p each.

Asda shoppers will have to go to their local shop as the deals are only available in-store and not online.

And since recent estimates show parents are forking out a whopping £11,498 per year raising a child, a trip to your local Asda may be well worth the savings.

Customers also explained that the bargains may not be apparent when browsing.

“[It] wasn’t priced as on sale on the shelf but when I got to the till, it scanned as the price shown on here,” wrote one shopper.

“I got some today at the end of the aisle, where the baby food is,” shared another person.

And the deals are available on a wide variety of baby hygiene brands.

How Asda has upped it's game

By Fabulous’ Fashion Director Tracey Lea Sayer

Take a whizz round the aisles in Asda it is hard not to notice how good the George at Asda clothing range is at the minute.
Add into the mix their recent collaboration with fashion designer Roksanda, celebrating 40 years of London Fashion Week, which is full of the designer’s signature colour blocking dresses, oversized Borg fleeces and bold stripe co-ords, it is easy to see why the brand is on fire!

All proceeds from the range go to The British Fashion Council to help promote young designers, so a win win!
There also seems to be a return to quality in the clothing range.
‘Style Stories’ with fashion influencer Erica Davies is a capsule collection of Autumn must-haves which delivered not only on style, but on great pocket friendly prices starting from £7.

Gorgeous quilted jackets, slogan sweats and a chocolate faux sheepskin flying jacket are among my faves.
Plus, George at Asda has just been crowned with the Best Kidswear in our Fabulous Fashion awards voted for by the Fabulous readers.
Click to buy enables you to shop the whole range online or you can just have a browse while you do the weekly shop.
You are welcome!

“Found them at the end of the aisle, got two Child’s Farm moisturisers, the Cocoa Curling Custard, and the Child’s Farm shower gel,” said a third commenter.

“My local store had the moisturiser, Curling Custard, and bath fizzers in last night for just £1.75,” wrote another Facebook user.

Asda shoppers can also save on an anti-ageing skincare buy, that is available for a fraction of the price of Boots.

Home Bargains customers picked up a summer skincare essential for £10 cheaper than Boots.
