Therefore, McIntyre, 39, had to fight through the pain before Friday’s scheduled bout on SmackDown.

But to do that the British bruiser first had to drain his knee, which was suffering from a recent knock.

The Scottish Warrior recorded the whole thing as WWE medics pulled out an enormous amount of fluid, which filled almost the entire syringe, and shared the footage on Instagram.

The procedure took place just 45 minutes before the three-time world champion’s match against Jimmy Uso.

McIntyre posted the following caption: “This is my knee being drained of fluid 45 minutes before my match. Wish me luck.”

The ex-WWE Champion went on to lose the fight to Uso, who beat him with a Roll-Up.

But the first and only British WWE world champion had the last laugh as he left Big Jim laying after a vicious post-match attack.

McIntyre knocked the eight-time tag team champion out with a devastating Claymore.

Nevertheless, this loss came at a bad time for the heavyweight athlete ahead of his scheduled big fight at Elimination Chamber on March 1 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

McIntyre will compete in the Men’s Elimination Chamber Match against John Cena, CM Punk, Logan Paul, Damian Priest and Seth Rollins.

The winner will challenge Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41.

Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol 2 undercard: Who is fighting on TONIGHT’S mammoth boxing bill

ARTUR BETERBIEV and Dmitry Bivol will headline what is billed one of the BEST cards in boxing history.

The pair will reignite their fight from October in a match being titled ‘The Last Crescendo.’

Last time the two met, Beterbiev earned a controversial decision win with scorecards of 115-113, 116-112 and 114-114.

Following the bout, promoter Eddie Hearn called the fight between Beterbiev and Bivol “one of the best fights in the sport”.

Nonetheless, Hearn, Bivol’s promoter, was in disagreement with the score citing there was “only one winner” and it was his guy.

Beterbiev and Bivol may be the card’s closing act on the night, but they may not even have the most eyes on them in Saudi Arabia.

Who is fighting on mammoth boxing bill?

Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker were set to go head-to-head for the Brit’s IBF heavyweight title.

However, Dubois withdrew at the the eleventh hour due to illness.

His replacement, Martin Bakole, was called up on two days’ notice from the Democratic Republic of the Congo for one of the most anticipated replacement fights in history.

Parker’s on a five-match winning run, while Bakole – who weighed in at 310LBS – previously defeated Carlos Takam in Saudi Arabia and Jared Anderson in Los Angeles during Riyadh Season bouts.

The fight is now an eliminator for a shot at Oleksandr Usyk’s WBO title.

Chinese boxing icon Zhilei Zhang, 41, will take on Agit Kabayel in an eliminator for the WBC heavyweight – also held by Usyk.

Joshua Buatsi and Callum Smith will also feature on the card in a light-heavyweight eliminator – the winner will be the mandatory contender for either Beterbiev or Bivol.

There is another interim belt on the line between Vergil Ortiz Jr and Israil Madrimovin the super-welterweight division.

The monster card also features TWO OTHER title fights – both including up and coming British fighters.

Josh Padley was the shock name to step in for Flloyd Schofield after, like Dubois, he also had to withdraw.

Padley has a tough task against pound-for-pound superstar Shakur Stevenson.

British prodigy Hamzah Sheeraz takes on Carlos Adames for the WBC middleweight title.

Sheeraz is one of Britain’s brightest young stars and a real favourite of Eddie Hearn.

The card starts with a couple of Saudi prospects – Ziyad Almaayouf and Mohammed Alakel – in action.

‘Could have called me’ – Former world darts champion takes swipe at bosses after being left out of Seniors Championship

KEITH DELLER has hit out at World Seniors Darts after he was left out of the World Championship.

This year’s tournament is taking place at Circus Tavern in Purfleet, Essex.

Keith Deller was left out of the World Championship by World Senior Darts[/caption]

It is the first time the tournament has happened since the tour’s entry age was lowered from 50 to 45.

As a result, some legendary darts throwers have been pushed out of the running.

Deller, 65, won the BDO world championship in 1983 and was one of the first to star in the World Seniors events.

However, he feels as if he has been overlooked as Vincent van der Voort was forced to withdraw due to medical reasons.

Neil Duff has received a bye into the last 16 of the tournament.

The WSD has insisted that a replacement could not have been brought in as the tournament had already begun.

It was suggested that Deller could have stepped in on social media.

He insisted that his phone was on if he had been wanted.

He posted: “Not asked. Could have called me yesterday as it was evening tonight.

Tony O’Shea is not overly keen on the new rules[/caption]

Ace Tony O’Shea, 63, has taken issue with the tour’s new entry rules.

After beating Lisa Ashton he told Online Darts: “I think it’s just Martin Adams [who is 68] who is older than me in the field. It’s harder.

“They’ve changed the rules to get more younger players in. 45, for me, is not really a senior.

“Maybe they’ll bring in a ‘super seniors’ for us 60-plus. It might be a level playing field.”

Deller agreed with O’Shea, he wrote: “Tony 100 per cent right may be they will change it with the word seniors not in it.

“If they want 45 and over in to get younger players then fine but may be just change it to something like champions tour.”

O’Shea did continue on his point and admitted that the younger players have added some quality to the tour.

He said: “But some of the lads who’ve come in, it’s great for the seniors tour, it’s great for these games.

“They’re still good enough to win [PDC] ProTour events.

“It’s great to see such great players in the event. The World Seniors is only going to get stronger and stronger.”

I transformed my boring tiny bathroom for just £50 using bargain buys from Dunelm – people can’t believe the difference

A SAVVY MAN has shared how he transformed the bathroom in his rented house for less than £50.

Luke Catleugh, from the UK, took to social media to show off the DIY transformation, and it left people stunned.

People couldn’t believe it was the same room[/caption]

In the clip, he said: “We’ve done this for under 50 quid, all of the supplies, everything we have, it’s gonna be a real small toilet transformation.”

He said that he and his partner Zara wanted to give it a little makeover, as it was ‘bland and dull’ compared to the rest of their rented flat.

Luke then took viewers into the tiny toilet room which was painted all white.

While there was nothing wrong with the room, the couple decided to add some character to the space.

The first thing the pair did was paint the top half of the walls black using GoodHome Walls & ceilings in Liberty from B&Q for £12.

Next, they used a grout pen they picked up from Poundland to give the tiles a freshen up before sanding the window ledge and painting it white.

Once all the paint was dry, Luke moved on to switching up the flooring using stick-on vinyl sheets from Dunelm.

The traditional black and white pattern on the sheets pulled the new look of the room together and cost just £16.

“I’m so happy with how this turned out,” he said.

Luke then added some finishing touches to the room including some houseplants and wall art featuring plants to add a pop of colour.

“Welcome to our new little toilet; this is the finished little loo,” he explained.

“Genuinely over the moon with it.”

Luke shared the makeover on his YouTube channel where it went viral with over 90k views.

People were stunned by just how effective the budget transformation was, with many claiming it looked like a different room.

Eight Easy DIY Tips & Tricks

Who is Turki Alalshikh and why is Saudi royal adviser, 43, referred to as His Excellency?

THE eyes of the world will be on Riyadh once again TONIGHT – when some of the world’s top boxers meet on the ‘Fight Card of the Century’.

The massive rematch between Artur Beterbiev and Dimitry Bivol tops the bill, but there are two more world title fights taking place, as well as four eliminators.

Daniel Dubois was meant to be defending his IBF heavyweight title against Joseph Parker, but was forced to withdraw because of illness – Martin Bakole has stepped in to fight the Kiwi.

Saudi Arabian royalty Turki Alalshikh has been instrumental in making some of the biggest fights in the sport over the 18 months.

SunSport can give fans a rundown on who he is.

Who is Turki Alalshikh?

Born on August 4, 1981, Turki Alalshikh is the mastermind behind the huge boxing battles that take place in Saudi Arabia and worldwide.

He is a member of the Saudi Royal Court.

His Excellency graduated from King Fahd Security College in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in security sciences before receiving certificates in criminology, investigation, risk management and general management.

Alalshikh then worked in several sectors including the Interior Ministry, the Emirate of Riyadh and the office of the Defence Minister and the Crown Prince.

But his big break came in September 2017 when a royal decree was issued to appoint Alalshikh as the new chairman of the General Sports Authority before becoming chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA).

In his role as the General Minister for Entertainment, Alalshikh and the GEA have been tasked with developing, promoting and expanding tourism and entertainment in the Kingdom.

Why is Turki Alalshikh referred to as His Excellency?

‘His Excellency’ is an official title that is given to members of the extended Royal Saudi family – similar to ‘Your Highness’ for the British monarchy.

Turki Alalshikh is known for being key to bringing boxing to Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Royal adviser was key in making tonight’s fight, which is part of Riyadh Season – a series of events hosted and funded by the Gulf state.

And his name began to ring bells within the sporting industry when he posted a stunning photo featuring a host of greats earlier this year.

Among them were several icons such as Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, Conor McGregor, Amir Khan, Lennox Lewis, Ricky Hatton and Evander Holyfield.

Oscar De La Hoya and Frank Bruno posed for the picture too.

He is also the mastermind behind the World Masters of Snooker, where Ronnie O’Sullivan and Co battled for a huge prize pool.

Menendez brothers reveal true feelings on Ryan Murphy Netflix show Monsters as new trial bid rejected

LYLE and Erik Menendez have revealed their true feelings about Ryan Murphy’s hit Netflix show about them and their murder of their parents.

“Monsters”, a nine-episode series, chronicles the infamous case of the Menendez brothers, who were convicted for the 1989 double shotgun slaying.

The show, called ‘Monsters’, premiered in September last year[/caption]

The show explores their claims of severe childhood abuse, which they argued led them to kill in fear for their lives.

When Monsters first premiered in September last year, Erik fiercely criticized it, calling its depiction of their case “dishonest” and filled with “disheartening slander”.

He accused Murphy of pushing a “horrible narrative” with “vile and appalling character portrayals”.

Murphy defended his work, saying: “If you watch the show, I would say 60 to 65 percent of our show… centers around the abuse and what they claim happened to them.”

Now, Lyle says the brothers see the show differently.

Speaking on TMZ’s 2 Angry Men podcast, he admitted they had watched parts of the series and “seen a million clips of it on TV.”

He acknowledged that Monsters “really did actually move a lot of people to understand the childhood trauma that Erik and I suffered, and particularly the horrific stuff that Erik suffered.”

Lyle also praised Nicholas Chavez’s portrayal of himself and  Cooper Koch’s depiction of Erik as “pretty extraordinary”.

“I feel in the end, a lot of people were educated about what can happen even in affluent homes — behind walls and behind hedges, you know, and manicured lawns,” he said.

Lyle went on to say how Murphy’s show ultimately helped bring attention to the impact of abuse.

He told the podcast: “Ryan Murphy did his project and ended up doing that. And so, in that way, I think we are grateful.”

The renewed attention on the Menendez brothers comes as their latest legal bid has been rejected.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman turned down their request for a new trial, saying there was no new, relevant evidence.

However, he has yet to decide on a re-sentencing bid that could lead to the brothers’ release, Sky News reports.

Erik and Lyle, convicted in 1996 for the 1989 shotgun murders of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, claim they acted out of fear due to years of sexual abuse by their father.

Hochman, however, cast doubt on their testimony, stating: “Sexual abuse in this situation may have been a motivation for Erik and Lyle to do what they did, but it does not constitute self-defense.”

The Menendez family condemned the decision as “abhorrent,” arguing it disregarded the trauma the brothers endured.

They stated: “Abuse does not exist in a vacuum. It leaves lasting scars, rewires the brain, and traps victims in cycles of fear and trauma.”

While the trial request has been denied, a March hearing on re-sentencing could still offer the Menendez brothers a path to parole after 35 years behind bars.
