MAFS series branded ‘wildest in the WORLD’ gets UK launch date – with savage leaked texts and shock wife swap
MARRIED At First Sight fans are in for a treat – as the ‘wildest series in the WORLD’ is heading to our shores.
Brits can tune in to the highly dramatic MAFS series next month and will find their jaws dropping in show.

The 2025 series of MAFS Australia features cheating scandals, a wife swap and a groom who ditched his bride because she was “too old”.
Fans will also be horrified to see another “deflated” man dismiss his match before their honeymoon because she was not “petite”.
The 12th season of Married At First Sight Australia kicked off Down Under last month and fans have already been on a wild ride.
The grooms in particular have raised plenty of eyebrows with their treatment towards their brides.
Eliot Donovan, 35, quit the show after just one episode as he believed his new wife, Lauren Hall, was “too old” at 37.
The business owner, who described himself as a “catch”, complained: “There was definitely things on my non-negotiables, right?’
“I wanted someone that was younger than me, preferably someone under 30.”
In a brutal blow, he told his new wife: “There’s just some things that I know I’m not willing to compromise on.”
Eliot packed his bags and left.
Incredibly, however, the confident groom later reappeared on set for a dinner party and even shocked the crew.
By this point, Lauren had been matched up with a new, standby groom called Clint Rice.
Elsewhere, Tim Gromie came massively under fire from furious Aussie fans for his cruel words about bride Katie Johnstone.
Katie, who had opened up to the experts about her ordeal of being body-shamed by an ex partner, was dumped by Tim before they even made it to the honeymoon.
During the wedding reception, he pulled a producer aside and said: “Totally not what I wanted. Not good.
“I normally go for short, petite, blonde or brunette. Katie’s nothing like what I usually go for. There’s just no attraction. I can tell straight away.”
He then told her off camera that they wouldn’t be going any further in the experiment.
The wrath of furious women could be felt across Australia, with many branding him “no oil painting” himself.
Heartbroken Katie, meanwhile, cried to the cameras: “To be rejected that’s my worst nightmare.
“I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, why this keeps happening. I feel humiliated.”
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
This, however, can be outdone by MAFS Australia groom Jake Luik.
He has since been accused of sending his mates some vile messages about his wife Ashleigh Ackerman in a group chat.
Jake is claimed to have described Ashleigh as “the fat f***”, with his friend replying: “Oh yeah, the real fat f***. You got given a dud.”
There is also wild cheating and partner swaps for MAFS fans to get stuck into, too.
The series was thrown into chaos after it was reported that bride Jacqui Burfoot had dumped her groom Ryan Donnelly and relocated to Tasmania – with Clint, Lauren’s second groom.
According to Daily Mail Australia, the partner switch left Ryan “blind-sided” and it all came out publicly BEFORE Clint and Lauren’s wedding story had even aired.
A source told the outlet: “Producers are furious. This completely ruins Clint and Lauren’s wedding episode.
“Viewers haven’t even seen them get married yet, and now they already know Clint ends up with Jacqui.”
- Married at First Sight Australia starts Monday March 3 at 9pm on E4. Stream on Channel 4.

‘Luke Littler’ wrestler goes viral as ’17-year-old’ bloke makes ring debut with incredible walk-on music
LUKE LITTLER’S darts fame appears to have spilled into the world of wrestling.
They say imitation is the highest form of flattery, and it looks like The Nuke has been inspiring one rising wrestling star with his efforts at the oche.

Bart O’Connor has been dubbed “Bart the Dart”, thanks to his unusual persona in the wrestling ring.
The professional wrestler, who made his ring debut last week, dons a darts shirt during his walk-on and even comes out to iconic darts tune Chase The Sun.
While he is also introduced as coming from Alexandra Palace.
In a nod to darts sensation Littler, O’Connor has been described as a “17-year-old prodigy” despite his age being listed at 35 on a number of wrestling websites.
His unusual gimmick has already caught the eye of wrestling fans who welcomed him to the ring with 180 signs during his debut Riot Cabaret Pro Wrestling match.
While fans online can’t believe what they’re seeing, taking to social media to react.
One wrote: “Darts has finally made it”.
While another added: “This is incredible”.

A third joked: “Luke littler, Ethan Nwaneri and Bart the dart. We are truly blessed”.
And a fourth pleaded: “Where do I watch this fight?!”
Littler, 18, has had a meteoric rise to fame in darts since he burst onto the scene at the 2024 World Darts Championship.
Since then he has pocketed well over £1million in prize money and was crowned world champ on his second attempt at Ally Pally last month.
The teenage superstar may just become aware of the unusual similarities between himself and O’Connor soon too.
That’s because Littler is a huge wrestling fan.
The world number two tungsten thrower visited the WWE HQ during his trip to New York for the US Darts Masters last year.
And he has even revealed that his walkout song – Green Light by Pitbull – was inspired by a trip to watch Wrestlemania with his dad in Florida.
He said: “Me and my dad went to Wrestlemania 33, seven years ago now, it was in Florida, Orlando.
“It was my first time being there. It was a good song, I was singing my head off as a ten years old.
“I thought that if I did make it – I was playing football at the time a little bit – then that would be my walk-on.”

‘I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this’ – Darts star reveals Dave Chisnall was ‘out of control’ on boozy night out
DARTS star Jeffrey de Zwaan has revealed what happened during his boozy night out with Dave Chisnall.
The Dutchman once enjoyed a night out with Chizzy while on the Pro Tour.

But he admitted the 44-year-old got “out of control” after some drinks.
Speaking on the Darts Draait Door podcast, De Zwaan said: “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this…
“At the Pro Tour in Barnsley you have a pool centre. We were having a nice drink there after the tournament and at one point Chisnall was just out of control.”
However, the alcohol didn’t seem to impact Chisnall’s performance on the Pro Tour the following day.
De Zwaan continued: “I see him walking and he just wins the tournament. He was just fit, nothing wrong. Bizarrely good level.”
Podcast co-host Vincent Van der Voort was not surprised by the revelation in the slightest.
He added: “He can do that!”
Chisnall hit out at the Premier League Darts selection last month after missing out on a place.
He said: “The Premier League line-up was hardly surprising this week, but you’d have to be gutted if you were someone like a Mike de Decker or Damon Heta.
“I never expected to get a phone call – despite being World No.6 – because of how poor I’ve been on TV this year.
“But Mike can feel let down after his great run at The Grand Prix. Maybe being No.24 in the world counted against him.
“Nathan and Gerwyn can both feel a bit lucky in my opinion to be involved this year.
“Gezzy has had a lot going and struggled in 2024, whilst Nathan has done similarly.
“His run to the quarter-finals of the Worlds probably got him involved, that and everyone loving his Mr Brightside theme song.
“It’s a great entrance, but it should be about the darts, and not your walk-on that gets you involved in these big competitions.
“Nothing against them personally, as both great lads and get on well with, but it should be about your actions on the dartboard, not on a song and a dance.
“Damo [Heta] is another who I think can feel unlucky, whilst it’s good to see Chris Dobey and Steven Bunting rewarded with a spot.
“It seems like something of a changing of the guard with no Michael Smith and no Peter Wright.”
