Found on the very edge of the Palm Jumeirah, it has everything you need for a day out from pools and slides to relaxing cafes.

Starting with the attractions, the most terrifying has to be the Odyssey of Terror which is the world’s tallest waterslide.

Another is The Black Out slide which is 157 feet tall with a near-vertical drop body slide – the highest of its kind in the Middle East.

Leap of Faith is not for the faint-hearted as it has a 60-foot slide that goes through a lagoon filled with sharks.

But the terrifying slides didn’t put one traveller off.

They said: “The best water theme park in the world! The sheer number of water slides on offer is unbelievable.”

According to TripAdvisor, the Aquaventure Waterpark is voted the top activity to do in Dubai.

One reviewer said: “This is the best waterpark in the world and my 4.5yo daughter had the time of her life.”

In terms of the attractions, there’s the opportunity to meet some wildlife up close and personal.

For anyone wanting to explore the park underwater, you can snorkel and scuba dive and cross paths with 65,000 marine species including sharks and sting rays.

For anyone wanting a break from the adrenaline there’s also a chance to relax.

From the private beach, enjoy the Dubai skyline while you sip on a cocktail.

Or, chill around the lazy river and take in a view of the park from your comfortable inflatable dingy.

Also around the park are private cabanas at an extra cost of AED 900 (£197).

Included with a private cabana is seating for six guests, butler service, cold towels, complimentary water, and a fruit platter.

And you don’t have to visit the park on your birthday, the free entry is valid six days before or after too.

Anyone using a birthday offer for their entry can also bring two friends who can get 20 per cent off their full price ticket.

Or if you are staying at either the Atlantic The Royal, Atlantis The Palm, or Rixos The Palm Hotel & Suites Dubai, you will get free access to Aquaventure every day of your stay.

Gladiator star Paul Mescal protected by huge bodyguard as he appears in West End play

GLADIATOR 2 star Paul Mescal was towered over by a huge bodyguard as he walked through London’s West End.

The actor, 29, who is currently starring in A Streetcar Named Desire at the Noel Coward Theatre, probably could have passed unnoticed in his low-key outfit.

But his burly minder, who wore a T-shirt reading, “I would like to apologize to anyone I have not yet offended”, ensured he stood out from the crowd.

Mescal wore a black cap and a grey trench coat over a red and yellow striped T-shirt.

He finished his outfit with ankle-length trousers and black Adidas trainers.

The hunk is now a global superstar after landing the lead role in Ridley Scott’s Roman epic.

But the Irishman is doing his best to keep his feet on the ground.

Last week he was snapped riding on the Piccadilly Line tube, doing his best to keep a low profile and blend in with other commuters.

Paul has had a meteoric rise to fame since starring in the romantic coming-of-age drama Normal People, alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones.

The BBC series based on Sally Rooney‘s novel left directors falling over themselves to work with its leads.

Fans have been desperate to see a continuation of the love story between their character Connell and Marianne, but it is yet materialise.

In 2023 he earned his first Oscar nomination for the drama Aftersun, which tracks a young father and his daughter on a holiday together.

While he missed out on the gong that year, the actor did become a Hollywood A-lister thanks to his role in Gladiator.

Starring alongside Denzel Washington and Pedro Pascal, Paul played Lucius, the secret son of Russell Crowe‘s character from the original movie.

He also teamed up with Andrew Scott in the tragic film, All Of Us Strangers, which followed a man as he struggles with loneliness.

Paul is now performing as Stanley Kowalski in the Tennessee Williams play, which is currently running until 22 February.

The star is currently believed to be dating singer Gracie Abrams, who shot to fame last year with the release of her album, The Secret Of Us, and appearing on dates of Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour.

The couple have kept their relationship out of the spotlight, but are believed to have started dating last summer.

However, the Irish star was spotted ‘having an upsetting conversation’ with Gracie during a meal together in Newington Green at the end of January.

Amad is the club’s joint top goalscorer alongside Bruno Fernandes with nine goals in all competitions, while only the club captain, with 12, has provided more assists than Amad (7).

Why is Amad Diallo not playing for Man Utd?

Amad Diallo has suffered ankle ligament damage.

The star confirmed in a statement on Saturday, February 15 that he will be out for “some time”.

The 22-year-old is still being assessed, with major fears his season is now over.

Amad wrote on Instagram: “Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season.

“Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!!

“Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for.”

SPURS VS MAN UTD LIVE – LATEST UPDATES

Diallo joins Lisandro Martinez as a long-term injury blow for United.

Martinez suffered cruciate ligament damage during United’s defeat by Crystal Palace earlier in February.

He is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing knee surgery.

The Argentine defender wrote on Instagram: “Today, after going through several stormy days where I allowed myself to feel and accept my sadness, helplessness, insecurities, fears, and a deep emotional imbalance, I am reconnecting with my essence and my values, which help me see things from a kinder and more positive perspective.

“The surgery went perfectly. Now it’s time to give it my all, with heart and soul, in the rehabilitation process.”

I live in a tiny hippie shack in the woods – trolls call me a ‘squatter’ and accuse me of ‘normalising homelessness’

A YOUNG woman who lives in a 1970s ‘hippie shack’ in the woods has candidly clapped back at trolls who criticise her lifestyle.

Kai, who is based in Canada, lives in a house built on the back of a truck.

But whilst Kai loves her frugal lifestyle, mean trolls have accused her of being a ‘squatter’[/caption]

But whilst the content creator loves living in the middle of nowhere, she has been brutally targeted by trolls who call her a ‘squatter’ and accuse her of ‘normalising homelessness’.

Keen to clap back to the haters, the influencer, who has over one million followers on TikTok, filmed herself outside her unique home and said: “I’m not a squatter, I actually pay to be out here – pretty cheap rent, but I am paying to be here regardless.

“If you’re new here, hi I’m Kai and I live in this house truck out in the woods.

“I think a lot of people assume that I’m squatting or somehow not allowed to be out here, but actually this is privately owned land, I do pay rent to be here, I have a great relationship with my landlord and I get a whole acre of space all to myself for pretty cheap.”

Inside Kai’s unique home, you’ll find an L-shaped couch in the living room that expands into enough space for a guest bed.

Not only that, but there’s also a kitchen area with all of the amenities anyone would need – including cabinets, stove, fridge spice rack and a sink, which features a handmade faucet.

She even has a dining area, which doubles as an office space, as well as a bedroom loft space.

And in another video, the brunette beauty replied to another mean comment that accused her of ‘normalising homeless’.

To this, she asked: “How about normalising living within your means?”

The frugal woman then explained: “This person thinks I’m normalising homelessness – I mean, I don’t know about you, but this unit right here kind of looks like a house to me.”

But whilst haters have often disagreed with Kai’s way of living, her TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @the_ugly_truckling, has clearly reached the right audience.

The short video has quickly raked up 120,200 likes and many eagerly flocked to the comments to praise her tiny home on wheels.

The rise of tiny homes

By Jonathan Rolande

Property expert Jonathan Rolande told Fabulous: The reason we are seeing more creative ways of finding a home: super-high property prices and rents. Younger people are remaining in the family home later in life to avoid paying high prices and to save for a deposit. With increasingly busy lives, staying within a larger family group makes sense, chores such as gardening and housework can be shared.

Garages are rarely used for their intended purpose as cars are far more reliable and less prone to rust and so are perfectly happy outside. On the other hand, the amount of property space per person has been shrinking – converting a garage can make great sense.

Things to consider. (the boring stuff)

Usually easier than building from scratch but still a lot to do to turn a garage in to a habitable space.

You’ll need to check if you need planning (more likely to be required if the garage is detached).

Building Regulations stipulate many things to make homes safe and secure. Consider

Walls, are they cavity?

Roof height

Windows

How will you get plumbing, electrics and drainage connected

Insulation – it will be cold!

Fire safety

Damp proofing

Also consider if, by converting, you are adding or deducting value from the main home. Garages can add value in busy urban areas where parking is limited.

One person said: “That is the cutest tiny home.”

Another added: “That’s awesome.”

Love that concept! I wouldn’t mind trying it myself

TikTok user

A third commented: “Super cool.”

Whilst someone else chimed in: “If you read this, bless you. Keep leading the way. Disregard the looser commenters.”

At the same time, another user wrote: “Love that concept! I wouldn’t mind trying it myself!”

Are tiny homes legal in the UK?

TINY houses can be UK regardless of whether they are on a trailer base or not. The legality of tiny houses is all to do with where it is and what you use it for.

If you want to put your tiny house in the back garden of the home that you own, and the overall size of your tiny house  does not exceed 19.8m x 6.7m (65ft x 22ft), then good news! You do not require planning permission.

Tiny houses that fit within these dimensions and are constructed on trailer bases are legally classified as caravans, which means you can legally park them within the curtilage of your home without planning permission.

If this is your plan, then it is a legal requirement that you only use the tiny house as additional living space, like an office, a gym, or a studio, but you cannot rent out the space to a tenant.

For those of you who live on farmland, what is defined as curtilage can be complicated. In these cases, and under any circumstances where you are unsure, we recommend that you speak to your local planning officer.

You can put a tiny house on your land as a temporary structure for 28 days, but for any longer than this we recommend that you speak to your local planning officer as different permissions will be required.

Becoming a mum was a dream come true – then weeks later doctors delivered the bombshell that I had just months to live

WHEN new mum Nikita Hughes found a lump in her breast after giving birth, doctors told her it was nothing more than an abscess.

The 22-year-old had welcomed her daughter Vienna into the world just eight weeks earlier in May 2023 and she was caught up in the joy of being a parent.

Nikita was given antibiotics, but when the growth, believed to be made up of harmless pus, failed to go she was sent to a breast clinic for a scan.

Nothing could have prepared her for the news she received.

She was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of sarcoma – a soft tissue cancer.

Nikita, from Port Talbot, Wales, believes she is one of only two people in the UK who has this form of the disease.

She says: “Becoming a mum was a dream come true for me. It was all I’d wanted since I was a little girl.

“I will never forget sitting in a room with my mum and Vienna as the doctors delivered the bombshell that I had cancer.

“I just sobbed with complete disbelief.”

The mum had a gruelling operation in October 2023, during which surgeons removed a 6in (15cm) tumour from her rib cage.

Part of her chest was removed and a new one constructed with muscle from her back.

She also opted for a double mastectomy to remove both breasts and was given six weeks of proton beam therapy.

Initially, the cancer responded to treatment and after a scan in May 2024, Nikita was given the all-clear.

She was even well enough to go on a holiday with her family to Turkey, in July 2024, enjoying every moment with little Vienna and her partner, Shaun Williams, 24.

“Paddling in the sea with my girl felt like a different world,” Nikita says.

“It all felt so precious and wonderful and I was just so grateful to be alive.”

But in September 2024, Nikita developed pain and swelling in her legs, as well as a nasty cough.

After a CT scan, doctors revealed that her sarcoma had spread to her lungs and there was nothing more they could do.

It breaks my heart to know my daughter will grow up without her mummy so I have to give her all the love I can now

Nikita Hughes

“I’d only just started being the mummy I wanted to be,” Nikita says.

“Now it was all being snatched away. I was told there was no cure. I was dying.

“All I could think about was how I would never see Vienna grow up into a woman.

“I am going to miss it all. It’s indescribable the pain I feel.”

But Nikita is determined to make the most of every second she has left.

She even organised a ‘f*** you cancer party’ in defiance of her illness.

“I may be dying but I am determined to go out with a bang,” she adds.

“I am so angry at this disease for stealing me away from my daughter.

“My party was my way of saying that I won’t go down without a fight.

“I invited 50 friends and family. There was so much love and joy in the room despite the pain.

“There were so many tears but loads of laughs too. We had balloons, a singer and a DJ.

“I had a huge pink poster featuring my face and the words ‘F*** you cancer party, Princess Nikita’.”

“It may be my last party so I was determined to enjoy every minute of it.

“It meant so much to have all the people I love there.”

MONTHS LEFT TO LIVE

Nikita has been told that she has around 16 months left to live with chemotherapy – or just six months without treatment.

“Now all that matters is making memories with Vienna and Shaun and my family,” she says.

“Vienna is 20 months old now and loves playing in the park with Peppa Pig.

“When I’m with her, I smother her with kisses and cuddles. Every moment is so precious.

“It breaks my heart to know she will grow up without her mummy so I have to give her all the love I can now.

“It feels bitterly unfair. But my gosh, my beautiful girl will know she was so loved.”

You can donate to the family’s GoFundMe page to help pay for “special memories and trips” here.

The symptoms of sarcoma cancer

The most common symptom of soft tissue sarcoma is a lump somewhere on the body.

But this doesn’t necessarily mean cancer – there are all sorts of reasons for lumps and swellings, but it must always be checked by a GP.

The lump is usually found deep under the skin and might be felt before it can be seen.

The lump is usually solid to the touch, painless and hard to move around under the skin.

It will continue to grow and as it does, it can become painful.

Other symptoms depend on where in the body the lump is.

These can include:

  • Tummy pain and constipation if there is a sarcoma near the tummy
  • A cough that does not go away if there is a sarcoma near the lungs

Liverpool boss Arne Slot makes promise after he’s charged for his role in heated Merseyside Derby chaos

ARNE SLOT has vowed to “act differently” after he was charged by the FA over his behaviour at the end of the Everton match.

The Liverpool boss received a red card after shaking referee Michael Oliver’s hand in an aggressive manner while talking to him after the final whistle.

Slot was charged after allegedly “acting in an improper manner and/or used insulting and/or abusive words and/or behaviour towards the referee”.

He has promised to change his behaviour following the incident, suggesting he will calm himself down before speaking to referees in future.

Slot told Sky Sports: “I hope next time I will act differently.

“The best thing to do is always go inside and calm down and then talk to the referee if you want to.”

SunSport understands he was sent off for his comments, NOT the handshake.

Slot, 46, has until Wednesday to respond to the FA charge so he was on the touchline for Wolves’ visit to Anfield.

The FA website initially shared an update stating Slot would be banned for two games, but it was later taken down as it is understood Oliver’s post-match report still needs to be reviewed.

Liverpool and Everton were both charged by the FA too for failing to control their players.

Curtis Jones received a second yellow card for his clash with Abdoulaye Doucoure, who was also sent off, after the Everton star goaded the travelling fans at full-time.

Players, coaches, stewards and police rushed over to diffuse the situation but it only sparked a bigger melee.

Chinese car brand that rivals Tesla launches in the UK TODAY offering one of cheapest EVs on the market

A MAJOR Chinese car brand has launched its first electric vehicle models in the UK today.

Leapmotor has teamed up with Stellantis – owner of Vauxhall, Peugeot, Fiat and others – to build and sell electric cars in Europe.

Leapmotor’s C10 electric midsize SUV has also hit UK markets[/caption]

Now the T03 small EV and C10 electric midsize SUV have hit Britain – and their prices undercut most of their competitors including Tesla.

The T03 stands out for its £15,995 price tag which makes it the UK’s second-cheapest electric car at just £1,000 more than the Dacia Spring.

It comes with a larger battery than its rival that provides an extra 26 miles of range per charge – roughly the length of a marathon.

It’s also slightly nippier than the Spring with a 94bhp motor that is capable of hitting 0-62mph in 12.7 seconds.

Leapmotor’s C10 model is closer in style to the hugely popular Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Tesla Model Y.

The mid-size crossover SUV is sold in just one specification that’s priced at £36,500.

The C10 packs a 215bhp motor with a range of 261 miles and a battery that charges from 30-80 per cent in about half an hour.

Leapmotor was founded less than a decade ago.

The Leapmotor import venture has a Stellantis-led 51-49 ownership structure.

It comes as Leapmotor showed off their B10, a C-segment SUV competing with the likes of the Mini Aceman, at the Paris Motor Show.

It will feature a customisable digital cockpit and advanced driver assistance systems.

Leapmotor T03 is a no-frills, budget EV

By Sun Motors supremo Rob Gill

IT’S not Fiat 500 cute. But it is small and simple like a 500.

Easy to park or drive in tight spaces like a 500.

Much cheaper than a 500. And packed with kit.

This is the Leapmotor T03.

Leapwho?

Leapmotor. Another oddly-named Chinese EV firm coming our way.

But this one has been clever.

Like, really clever.

Because Leapmotor has teamed up with Stellantis – owner of VauxhallPeugeotFiat and others – to build and sell electric cars in Europe.

In fact, Stellantis owns 51 per cent of the international arm of the business and T03 will be sold at the big glass cathedrals in every town alongside Corsas, 208s and . . . Fiat 500s.

You’ll see T03 at 50 UK dealers by Christmas.

But is it any good? Yes and no.

For the money, yes.

There’s one high-spec version costing £15,995.

Six airbags. Five doors. Four seats.

I can’t think of anything beginning with three. Two digital display screens.

One comically cheap school-run/commuter car.

Hang on, I’ve thought of something. The paint. There’s three paint colours – white, silver and blue. Your only choice.

Everything else is standard – reversing camera, satnav, adaptive cruise control, panoramic glass roof with electric shade, heated wing mirrors, LED lights, 15in alloys, all the anti-crash tech the law now demands, and more.

‘So long as they’ve got NFL and Beyonce they’re happy’, Jamie Redknapp slams Spurs owners in brutal live Sky Sports rant

JAMIE REDKNAPP has slammed Tottenham Hotspur’s ownership in a brutal rant on live TV.

The former Spurs midfielder has been left unimpressed with the club’s shambolic performance this season.

The North London outfit have lost 13 games in the Premier League and are slumped in 15th place ahead of Sunday’s game against Manchester United.

Manager Ange Postecoglou has come under huge pressure due to the poor form and FA Cup and Carabao Cup exits.

Spurs have had to deal with the most injuries in the league but are still way off their usual standards.

The club has boosted revenue streams off the pitch as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a widely used venue.

The stadium will play host again to pop star Beyonce and NFL matches this year.

Tottenham recently extended their partnership with the NFL through to the 2029/30 season.

Redknapp however believes this has taken attention away from the team’s performances on the pitch.

He has claimed that the club’s board are happy as long as there is a “successful” business rather than football team.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

Speaking on Sky Sports, he said: “As long as they’ve got the American Football and they’ve got Beyonce in the summer, they’re happy, the owners are happy.

“It looks like a business model that everyone can be happy with that can be successful.

Illustration of a ranked list showing the number of injuries and absences for English clubs competing in Europe.

“But does that breed a winning environment?

“No it does not because something is fundamentally wrong.

“They have tried to do both, but it has not worked and it has not worked the way Daniel Levy wants it to.”

Spurs fans are staging a massive protest against club chairman Daniel Levy during the match against United.

The demo has been organised by fed-up season-ticket holders named Change for Tottenham.

Protesters are marching ahead of the game and staging a sit-in protest at full-time in the South Stand.

The aim is to put pressure on majority owners ENIC to sell the club — and for chairman Levy to go.
