Leicester vs Arsenal tips
Our Bet Builder selections: Arsenal to win, Leandro Trossard and Jamie Vardy to score, Wilfried Ndidi carded at 50/1. ADD TO YOUR BET SLIP HERE!
Here’s why we’ve made those selections..
- Arsenal to win: The Gunners, even with their numbers injury issues in attacking areas, should have enough to comfortably beat Leicester this weekend. They’ve won their last six on the bounce against their hosts, and remain unbeaten in the Premier League in 14 outings.
- Leandro Trossard to score: The Belgian, 30, is likely to spearhead the attack this weekend and has eight goals and 10 assists when playing as a central striker in his career. He also netted twice in his last three games against the Foxes.
- Jamie Vardy to score: If Leicester are to score, it’s more than likely that Jamie Vardy will be the man celebrating. Vardy, 38, has scored more Premier League goals against Arsenal than he has vs any other opponent (11) while only Harry Kane (14) and Wayne Rooney (12) have netted more often against the Gunners in the competition.
- Wilfred Ndidi carded: Nobody in the Leicester squad has committed more fouls than Ndidi this season (26). He was also booked in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

‘They know the situation’ – Enzo Maresca confirms Robert Sanchez axed as Chelsea No1 after series of howlers
ROBERT SANCHEZ has been dropped as Chelsea’s No1 goalkeeper, Enzo Maresca has confirmed.
Sanchez, 27, had been responsible for multiple clangers this season which caused the Blues to drop vital points in their hunt for the top four.

But the final straw appears to have been his fatal gaffe against Manchester City.
Filip Jorgensen replaced Sanchez in the following Premier League game against West Ham before Sanchez returned between the sticks for the 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Brighton.
However, Maresca has now confirmed Jorgensen is the team’s No1.
Speaking to reporters ahead of their visit to Brighton on Friday evening, he said: “The Filip solution was also to give Robert some time to recover mentally and physically in general.
“The idea is not game by game to change the ‘keeper.
“In the last Premier League game against West Ham, it was Filip and then in the FA Cup game, it was Robert but our ‘keeper in this moment is Filip.
“I spoke with Robert a few days before West Ham where I took the decision to play Filip. I never spoke again with Robert.
“With Filip, exactly the same. They know in this moment the situation.
“This is the situation now and then we will see the situation. In this moment, it is like this.”
Less than a month ago Maresca had given his backing to Sanchez to turn his form around, saying it was “not something strange, it is part of the job” to make mistakes.
Those comments came after the Spaniard gifted a goal to Wolves when dropping the ball when attempting to catch a cross.
At that time the stats revealed only one goalkeeper, Ipswich’s Arijanet Muric, had made more than his four errors.
But following his next gaffe against Man City, when he inexplicably charged out of his goal before being chipped by Erling Haaland, no goalkeeper in the Premier League was more error-prone.
Chelsea ratings vs Brighton as pantomime villain Cucurella can hold head high but Nkunku has a shocker

BRIGHTON came from behind to dump Chelsea out of the FA Cup with Kaoru Mitoma’s perfectly placed chip securing a 2-1 win for the Seagulls at the Amex stadium.
But how did Chelsea’s players fare? Who was the biggest let down and who was the best of the worst? Check out SunSport’s player ratings…
Robert Sanchez – 5/10
Back in the side after being dropped by Enzo Maresca after a number of errors this season. The Spaniard looked shaky on the ball at the start of the game but seemed to brush off his nerves as the match developed.
Nothing he could do about Brighton’s opener with Georginio Rutter’s perfectly placed header flying past him.
Perhaps a little slow off his line for Brighton’s winner, but take nothing away from Kaoru Mitoma’s perfectly executed chip.
Malo Gusto – 5
Worked tirelessly charging up and down the right flank for Chelsea, but failed to have much joy going forward or defensively.
Struggled to deal with the dangerous Mitoma throughout the game, and was caught napping out of position for the Japanese forwards winner.
Tosin Adarabioyo – 5
Alongside Trevoh Chalobah, was guilty of allowing Georginio Rutter to drift into space to fire home Brighton’s early equaliser.
Played some confident passes at times, but also looked like a walking mistake on the ball at times. Was caught in possession on the halfway line by Georginio Rutter which almost led to a Brighton goal.
Trevoh Chalobah – 6
Equally as responsible for Brighton’s opening goal alongside his centre back partner, allowing Rutter a free header in the box.
Was more composed on the ball than his Tosin throughout the game, however, and already looks like Chelsea’s best centre back after being recalled from loan.
Marc Cucurella – 6
The pantomime villain of the evening at the Amex stadium, with Brighton fans spending the full 90 minutes booing their ex player everytime he got a hold of the ball.
Was solid throughout the game, although failed to have the attacking impact that he has had for Chelsea in recent games.
Moises Caicedo – 6
Looked to be running a one man midfield before Enzo Fernandez was introduced in the second half.
Worked tirelessly but was clearly frustrated with his sides efforts, putting in a couple of nasty tackles which led to him being booked.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 4
A rare start for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Chelsea this season, and in truth, he failed to take advantage.
A very poor challenge early on saw the Englishman booked, and he failed to have any impact on his side going forward or defensively in the first half.
Was substituted fifteen minutes into the second half for Enzo Fernandez in the wake of Brighton’s second goal.
Pedro Neto – 5
An injury concern midway through the first half, which in truth he never quite looked to shake off.
Looked confident he had the better of Tariq Lamptey, often beating his fullback. His final ball, however, was sorely lacking throughout the match, with a number of crosses flying over everyone
Cole Palmer – 6
Played his part in Chelsea’s opener with a first time cross into the box – although it’s difficult to mark that goal down as anything other than a Bart Verbruggen howler.
Looked like he was missing his regular attacking partner Nicholas Jackson, with a clear lack of connection with the Frenchman Christopher Nkunku up top.
Jadon Sancho – 5
Looked uninterested for large parts of the first half, and failed to close down Joel Veltman who whipped in the cross for Brighton’s opener.
He picked up in the second half with some direct dribbling, although never managed to find the final ball.
Christopher Nkunku – 2
It’s hard not to feel sorry for Nkunku, with the forward looking completely lost in Enzo Maresca’s system.
It genuinely seemed like he wasn’t on the pitch at times, with the Frenchman missing in action for large parts of the game.
The one clear chance he had running through on goal, he bizarrely elected to cross the ball rather than have an effort himself.
SUBS:
Enzo Fernandez (Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, 59) – 7
Brought an air of control to Chelsea’s midfield which was sorely lacking before. Played a few nice passes with the short time he had on the pitch.
Nothing came of his efforts, although perhaps the result would have been different for Chelsea had he started the game.
Tyrique George (Jadon Sancho, 73) – 5
Spurned a great opportunity over the bar, and other than that failed to have any impact.
Archaeologists uncover 2000-year-old CITY lying beneath office basement which sheds light on the beginnings of Britain
ARCHAEOLOGISTS have uncovered a 2000-year-old city lying beneath an office basement.
The bombshell discovery has been pinned as one of the most important parts of Roman history.

Sitting under a basement in London was a large ancient public building, also known as a basilica.
This 2,000-year-old venue, located under 85 Gracechurch Street, would have been where political leaders made decisions affecting Roman London and beyond.
It served a the commercial and social hub for citizens of Londinium and was uncovered in October 2023 by Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA).
The Director of Development at MOLA Sophie Jackson said: “This is one of the most significant discoveries made in the City in recent years.
“It’s like discovering the Speaker’s Chair and chamber of the House of Commons, 2,000 years into the future.
“Excitingly, we’ve only just scratched the surface of this site’s potential through our initial investigations.”
Archaeologists were able to pin down the location previously but they were not aware if any of the basilica had survived.
Officials dug small test pits to check what was concealed under the basement and on the third try, digging between filing cabinets, they came across the hidden city.
When uncovering the hidden city, MOLA found huge foundations, flint walls and Roman tiles.
Some areas were over 10m long, 1m wide and 4m deep.
These features of the basilica are a piece of a larger site that spans an area roughly the size of a football pitch.
When is was used it was likely to have been two floors tall with an open courtyard for locals and visitors.
The ancient site is now set to open to the public and will be the first display of London’s first Roman Basilica.
For those who really want to experience what it was like living in ancient London, you’ll be able to walk right through the historic venue.
Surviving parts of the site will turn into an exhibition offering event space and an immersive experience.
Proposals will start this month and if approved further excavations will take place.
This should unveil more of the ancient structure including the construction details and the building’s interior.
It certainly won’t be a quick process however and MOLA hopes the exhibition will be ready for public viewing from 2029.
Historic England Chief Executive Duncan Wilson said: “To find the dais of the Basilica, the heart of London’s Roman Forum, surviving beneath today’s bustling square mile is really something special.
“To capitalise on this extraordinary discovery we have helped shape a new public display of the archaeological remains, offering a brand new visitor experience in the City.”
Timeline for the site
MOLA revealed the basilica's history
- AD 43 – The Romans invade Britain and the early City of London (Londinium) is founded shortly after
- AD 60 – Boudicca sacks the City of London
- Around AD 70 – AD 80 – The first Roman Forum is built on this site
- Around AD 100 – Construction begins on a second, much larger Forum surrounding the first
- Around AD 120s – The second Forum is complete and remaining traces of the first Forum demolished
- AD 410 – Roman rule in Britain comes to an end
- AD 2023 – Planning consent was achieved which led to archaeological investigations of the area
- AD 2025 – Planning application proposes turning the site into a public exhibition
- AD 2029/2030 – The basilica is open for public viewing

Leicester vs Arsenal preview
Struggling Leicester City host Arsenal in Saturday’s Premier League lunchtime kick off.
And it’s fair to say that Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side are in desperate need of a result to keep their survival hopes alive.
With 14 games of the campaign remaining, the Foxes are anchored in 18th position and two points adrift from safety following a run of eight defeats in their last nine league outings.
Leicester could climb out of the relegation zone should they clinch a shock win and Liverpool beat 17th-placed Wolves at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
But it goes without saying that the odds are firmly stacked against them.
Arsenal arrive in the East Midlands in second position and still within touching distance of Liverpool, who dropped points against Everton midweek, after going 14 top-flight games unbeaten.
But they’ll need to bounce back following their elimination from the Carabao Cup and a worrying injury to forward Kai Havertz, which will rule him out of this weekend’s contest.
Still, the Gunners boast a fantastic record against Leicester having won each of their last six H2H meetings by an aggregate score of 16-5.
They have also won 21 of their last 25 Premier League matches against sides sitting in the relegation zone.
Only Southampton (54) have conceded more Premier League goals this season than Leicester City (53), who haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 17 league matches.
And that’s bad news given Arsenal have the division’s third best away record, scoring the fifth-highest number of goals (22) on the road in the 2024-25 campaign.

Leicester vs Arsenal preview betting tips and predictions
Makeshift
Leandro Trossard looks to be Arsenal’s most likely scorer given the injuries in attacking areas.
The Belgian, 30, may be forced the spearhead the attack and he’s no stranger to that position given he’s played there 39 times in his career – netting eight times and providing 10 assists in 39 appearances.
Trossard ranks top for Arsenal for the most attempts on goal over the last four matches (9) with an attempt every 37.7 minutes – a tally that will no doubt increase in the CF position. He’s also netted twice in his last three games against the Foxes.

That man again
If Leicester are to score, it’s more than likely that Jamie Vardy will be the man celebrating, so we’re backing him for home first goalscorer at 9/2 with William Hill.
The Foxes legend, 38, has scored more Premier League goals against Arsenal than he has vs any other opponent (11) while only Harry Kane (14) and Wayne Rooney (12) have netted more often against the Gunners in the competition.
He’s had the highest number of efforts for Leicester over the last four matches (10), takes penalties and has an xG of 2.15 – which is nearly quadruple that of the next Leicester player (Ndidi 0.58).
- 1st Home Goalscorer – Jamie Vardy at 9/2 with William Hill – CLAIM HERE

Cop accused of rape who WON legal challenge to avoid being sacked by Met boss is pictured
THIS is the cop accused of being a rapist who won a legal challenge to avoid being sacked by Met boss Sir Mark Rowley.
Sgt Lino Di Maria was pictured with the commissioner in 2022 while working on a unit tackling violence against women and girls a year before having his warrant card taken from him a year later after failing his vetting.
A High Court judge ruled this week the Met breached the Human Rights Act by using a re-vetting programme to sack the married father, who denies any wrongdoing.
He was separately accused of multiple rapes, sexual assault and domestic violence but was never charged with any offence or had disciplinary misconduct proved against him.
The landmark court ruling by Mrs Justice Lang has paved the way for more than a hundred suspected rogue cops to return to the Met after being dismissed or forced to resign.
Di Maria, in his 40’s, was on the VAWG unit for more than a year and briefed Sir Mark when the Met chief visited the South London police office where he worked.
Sir Mark was unaware of Di Maria’s background at the time he met him or that he was under review by a Met investigation, code-named Operation Onyx, into more than 1,600 officers and staff with sex and domestic violence complaints against them.
It was set up after armed protection officer Wayne Couzens murdered Sarah Everard in March 2021.
Met boss Sir Mark later launched a scheme to purge his force of rogue cops by re-vetting and sacking them.
Sgt Di Maria, who joined the Met, in 2004 – was accused of two sexual assaults and rapes in cars in public car parks on December 3 and 9, 2018.
The following year he was further separately accused of a rape and indecent exposure back in 2015.
He faced an allegation of sending inappropriate messages to colleagues in 2019 and alleged inappropriate behaviour at work two years later, which included sending intimate messages to a vulnerable woman.
And an ex-partner accused him of domestic abuse in 2022.
Married father Sgt Di Maria denied all the allegations and was never charged with any criminal offences.
He was found to have no case to answer on the misconduct allegations.
However, some unspecified matters were recorded as “adverse information” and his vetting was removed under the Met’s Operation Assure re-vetting scheme in September 2023.
He lost an appeal against the decision last year.
Sgt Di Maria applied for a judicial review and was backed by the rank and file Met Police Federation branch.
Mrs Justice Lang ruled on Tuesday the Met was in breach of Article 6 of the Human Rights Act by denying Sgt Di Lino a fair hearing.
The judge branded the re-vetting procedure “not fit for purpose,” adding the force’s powers “do not extend to the dismissal of a police officer by reason of withdrawal of vetting clearance.”
Her decision means that 96 cops who have already been dismissed or forced to resign under the Operation Assure re-vetting programme, will now return to the Met.
They will be put on special leave along with another 29 suspect cops already on gardening leave.
Meanwhile, over 100 more cops are in the early stages of vetting reviews which will now be cancelled until the Met appeals against yesterday’s ruling.
The hard-up Met, already making massive cuts to front-line services, will be forced to pay the officers full salaries despite them being unable to work.
Sir Mark said it was a “ridiculous waste of money” and called on the Government to bring in new rules “as a matter of extreme urgency.”
He said it was “absolutely absurd” that the Met could not sack officers who could not be trusted to work with women.
Sir Mark added: “Being able to sack officers who fail vetting is absolutely critical.”
However, Met Fed General Secretary Matt Cane said: “This Judicial Review was about ensuring a fair, but more importantly, legal process was in place.
“The Metropolitan Police must recognise the law and – it goes without saying – operate within it.
“That’s what today’s ruling clearly emphasises.”
Mr Cane said he had first raised objections about the legality of Operation Assure two years ago – but was “ignored.”
He added: “I remain curious as to why those in Scotland Yard thought they could operate outside of the law when it comes to police officers.”
Mr Cane said the “good, brave and hard-working colleagues we represent are the first to say that the small minority of officers who are not fit to serve should not be in the police service.”
But he added, “Police officers – like all people – need to be treated within the law of the land and they have the right to representation and a fair process.”
The Home Office said the Government “is acting rapidly to introduce new, strengthened rules that will help forces dismiss officers who cannot maintain vetting clearance.”
A spokesperson said: “It is essential for public confidence in policing that the strictest standards are upheld and maintained. Individuals who fall below the high standards the public expects should not be police officers.”

When is the Love Island All Stars final?
FANS don’t have long to wait to find out who will be crowned Love Island All Stars 2025 champion.
While there’s been no official announcement about the second series of the spin-off show’s end date, it seems host Amy Hart let slip exactly when the grand finale will air.

When is the Love Island All Stars final?
Audiences at home have witnessed everything from exes sobbing over breaking in the villa to love blossoming between unlikely suspects.
Now the journey is set to come to an end, with the date of this year’s final having been accidentally revealed.
On Monday, February 3, 2025, a Love Island host let slip the date in an episode of the show’s daily podcast — Love Island: The Morning After.
Presenter and former Islander Amy Hart revealed it was “two weeks away”.
Love Island finals traditionally air on Monday nights, with this series’ landing on Monday, February 17, 2025.
This means the current occupants of the villa will get to spend Valentine’s Day together — the perfect chance to pop the exclusivity question or drop the L bomb before coming off air.
Viewers can watch their favourite couple being crowned on ITV2 after all the votes get counted.
Maya Jama will be presenting the closing ceremony – which will hopefully be less stressful than the one she presided over in the summer of 2023.
The show host revealed that technical issues behind the scenes had led to the experience being “a madness”.
She added: “Had my first live autocue going down situation and I am bloooody proud of the way I handled it!”
Who will win All Stars 2025?
Love Island fans believe they’ve worked out that Ekin-Su and Curtis will win All Stars 2025.
Viewers were horrified as the couple were “bullied” by Elma Pazar and Sammy Root — it’s made them want Ekin-Su to be the series champion.
In a furious clash on the show on February 12, Ekin-Su confronted Elma for “picking on her” and holding a “weird grudge”.
Ekin-Su admitted to feeling upset at being laughed at by Elma and Sammy who encouraged the rest of the villa.
Fans voiced how they believed Elma’s actions could end up being the reason Ekin-Su wins the show.

One said: “Elma might be the reason Ekin su will win again and I hope she does just to see Elma’s dumb self be humbled.”
Another posted: “Please can we all agree to make sure Ekin and Curtis win? Not even a massive fan but anything to see Elma’s face.”
Someone else said: “Them all laughing is mad they are all a pack of bullies I actually feel for Ekin and Curtis might vote them to win now for that lol. Elmas jealousy of them is crazy.”
Love Island All Stars finalists
The stars who have made it all the way to the Love Island All Stars final are not yet known.
More couples are sure to be sent packing ahead of the final.
However, if previous years are to go by, then there will be four couples in the last episode, with just one taking home the title.
The couples that are still in the show are:
TEN axed Love Islanders fly back to All Stars villa today – as ITV bosses go to extreme lengths for maximum drama
TEN Love Island All Stars are on their way back into the villa to cause chaos ahead of Monday night’s final, The Sun can exclusively reveal.
Show bosses are going all out to up the ante with just days to go and the returning names are set to deliver some home truths having been watching the action from the sidelines.

A source said: “All of the All Stars cast have flown back in – even stars who quit the show.
“They’re all flying today and film tonight – ITV bosses even flew the girls and the boys out separately, and made them stay in completely different places – so when they reunite, it’ll be explosive!”
One of the returnees is Ron Hall, who shared a video of himself sitting in a swanky airport lounge before boarding a plane.
In a clip shared on Instagram, he calls for Elma Pazar to be dumped from the villa after claiming her being voted ‘favourite girl’ has gone to her head.
Ron ranted: “I’ve just seen a clip of Elma having a dig at Ekin.
“Can we all just agree that you lot all voting her as Favourite Girl has given her a complete sense of freedom to just take things to the next level.
“She thinks she can get away with murder.
“The way she talks to people like s*** is ridiculous. So, get her out now.
“I’ve had enough. Get her out!”
Elma and Ekin-Su’s fall-out began during the heart rate challenge.
The Turkish actress chose to give Sammy Root – who is coupled up with Elma – a peck on the lips as she worked to get his pulse racing.
She has since accused Elma of holding a “weird grudge” against her after receiving constant snipes.
Ekin-Su was left furious in Tuesday night’s show when Elma told her man Curtis Pritchard to “shut the f*** up” during a heated conversation.
The pair then went head to head during a dramatic episode that saw Elma rant “do s****y things, win s****y prizes”.

Ex-Tottenham star Nabil Bentaleb, 30, cleared to make incredible return to football just 8 months after cardiac arrest
Ex-Tottenham star Nabil Bentaleb has been cleared to make a miracle return to football – just months after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The midfielder, 30, ended a five-year Spurs stay in 2017. Newcastle signed him on loan from Schalke in 2020.

Algeria international Bentaleb joined hometown club Lille two summers ago, but suffered a cardiac arrest last June.
He has since been fitted with a defibrillator, and looked after by the same heart specialist who saved the career of fellow ex-Spur Christian Eriksen.
Manchester United‘s Danish midfielder, who collapsed on international duty against Finland in May 2021, also wears a defibrillator.
The French FA’s medical experts have now given Bentaleb the green light to resume his club career.
Lille announced: “The French Football Federation’s medical commission has met to determine Nabil Bentaleb’s medical situation, and to decide on his personal and sporting future.
“It ruled positively in the light of the player’s latest tests and medical results, and spoke in favour of his return to competitive football.
“The Club is delighted to see our player authorised to rejoin his teammates at training from tomorrow onwards.
“Nabil, the people of Lille are looking forward to welcome you back at the Decathlon Arena.”
Lille president Olivier Letang added: “It’s a real joy to have this news after the long and difficult ordeal that Nabil and his family have been through.
“Fear and doubt have given way to optimism and pleasure at Nabil getting his health back.
“He can once again do what he loves to do above all else, play football. We dreamt of seeing him back on the pitch – and that dream has now become reality.”
Bentaleb made 66 appearances for Tottenham, scoring once, and played in the 2015 League Cup final.
He had 15 games on loan to Newcastle before returning to Germans Schalke in summer 2020.
The midfielder has won 52 Algeria caps, scoring five goals for the north African side.
