Rosie Ramsey reveals she’s bedridden and in agony after breaking VERY painful bone in drunken fall

ROSIE Ramsey has revealed that she’s bedridden after suffering a very painful injury on a boozy night out.

The TV show host, 38, gave fans a health update in a new video shared to her social media on Wednesday.

Rosie said she had broken her tailbone after falling down the stairs when she was drunk.

The tailbone, also known as the coccyx, is located at the bottom of the spine, just below the sacrum.

In a playful video, Rosie mimed over a clip of Kim Kardashian from her reality show The Kardashians, when she told viewers: ” It’s a full time job and it’s extremely time consuming and it’s not as easy as it may appear to some people.”

The star could be seen resting up in bed wearing a grey floral jumper as she took some prescribed medication.

Rosie captioned it: “When people ask what it’s like having a broken tailbone from falling down the stairs drunk.”

The podcast host also wrote: “Full time job lying on one a*** cheek.”

Rosie’s fans raced to comment and send their well wishes.

One wrote: “I have a broken tailbone and I was sore for about 2 weeks but could get back to running and squats very quickly, you’ll be alright.”

A second posted: “The condition, often referred to as a burst or broken stump, is extremely painful and not something to take lightly. However, I am looking forward to the podcast with Chris this week; I have a feeling he’s going to be in great form.”

A third joked: “I cannot wait for Chris’s sponsor this week, it has to be related to your injury.”

Another added: “I did it a year and a bit ago (I was sober though) and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it still hurts now and again.”

Although Rosie will be out of service for a little while, it won’t stop her from returning to her chat show.

The Sun revealed that Rosie and husband Chris Ramsey are dusting off their chat show for a third series.

Producers Avalon have begun work on a new run, which is expected to air next year.

Having won an army of fans with their award-winning podcast Sh**ged Married Annoyed, the couple got off to a flying start when they moved to telly with The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show in 2021.

So much so, bosses promoted them from BBC Two to BBC One for the second series.

But a schedule clash has prevented the pair from delivering a third run — until now.

An insider said: “The BBC love Chris and Rosie, they’re a hilarious duo but most importantly, real, so it was a blow when they couldn’t get a third series under way.

The show was shelved until schedules could align and work can now begin ahead of next year.”

Execs have begun casting for couples, siblings, or pals for a new segment on the show, too.

A note for the new format, It Goes Or I Go, has been posted online, asking: “Does someone you love have something you hate? Now’s your chance to get rid of it, for good.”

The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show sees the married stars invite another celeb couple onto the sofa for a chinwag about their relationship.

Fans watched as Chris and Rosie probed the stars on their pet peeves, parenting issues, and bust-ups.

Big names who have appeared on the series include Martin and Shirlie Kemp, Ronan and Storm Keating, and Fred Sirieix and his fiancée Fruitcake.

Man Utd starlet Chido Obi bags hat-trick against Chelsea U18 as fans say ‘he could’ve been starting for Arsenal’

MANCHESTER UNITED starlet Chido Obi-Martin scored an incredible hat-trick against Chelsea’s U18s as fans declared “he could have been starting for Arsenal.”

The Danish striker used to be on the books of the injury-hit Gunners before sealing a move to United last summer.

Fans reckon Chido-Obi could have solved the attacking injury crisis at former club Arsenal[/caption]

Obi-Martin broke youth league goal records in December after reaching 32 strikes in just 20 outings.

And Ruben Amorim has been keeping tabs on the hitman as United struggle for goals.

Now, Obi-Martin has taken his scoring to new heights after hitting a treble against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup.

The ace helped mastermind a 5-1 win over the Blues as record holders United booked their place in the quarters.

And Obi-Martin now has nine goals in 11 outings for his new side.

A first-team opportunity with the Red Devils is likely around the corner.

But fans reckon had he stayed at Arsenal, Obi-Martin would have got his chance under Mikel Arteta by now.

The Gunners have been hit by an attacking crisis after Kai Havertz was ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

And supporters believe Obi-Martin could have been the answer to Arteta’s prayers.

One said: “Obi actually would’ve got minutes if he stayed at Arsenal.”

Another declared: “He should be getting minutes over Hojlund at United.”

One noted: “He needs a chance.”

Another added: “Not everyone is ready at 17.”

Earlier this month, United boss Amorim teased the possibility of Obi-Martin making his senior Red Devils bow.

Amorim said: “He’s doing his job. He’s improving, he’s playing in the youth teams, and also we have other players who can play that position.

“Rasmus and Josh are there. We bought these two players, we need to improve them, and sometimes the confidence can change a player. We will see in the end of the season.

“But until then we have two strikers who can score goals, they’ve proved in the past, so let’s see if we can improve as a team to help them to score goals.”

Doctors believe her tumours have been growing for six months after the “unbearable” pain forced her to seek help.

She said: “Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believed have been growing for at least 6 months.

“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today – the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.

“I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”

Teddi, who had her long hair shaved off in hospital, shared pictures of herself in a gown from her bed as she prepared for surgery.

She told her fans she had every faith in the surgeons operating on her and shared thew words of wisdom her famous rocker father, John Mellencamp, gave her.

She wrote: “As my dad said this am, god only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It’s a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be ok.”

Chocolate fans are only just spotting the meaning behind the Twix logo – and are baffled they never knew it before

TWIX – one of the most favourite chocolate bars in the world.

But now eagle-eyed foodies have claimed there’s a hidden message in the cult favourite candy bar.

For a while, shoppers assumed that the dashes were a reference to the ”pause” button motif[/caption]

The iconic sweet treat, which contains two crunchy biscuits covered in a layer of toffee, encased in milk chocolate, first came to British supermarket shelves in 1967 and has since become a firm favourite across the pond in the US as well.

Twix bars are easy to spot thanks to their shiny gold wrapper and the large red text.

Chocolate fans may have noticed what’s hiding in the circle of the letter “i” in the name “Twix”.

The dot above the ”i” now contains two vertical red lines in its centre, while its predecessor was a plain red circle.

For a while, shoppers assumed that the dashes were a reference to the ”pause” button motif that had appeared in the brand’s 2011 ”pause like you mean it” campaign.

Others, meanwhile, reckoned that they resembled a miniature image of the beloved chocolate bar.

However, the brand has since confirmed that the imagery contains a double-meaning.

In 2021, a fan took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their disbelief after spotting the hidden reference.

They wrote: ”I just realised these are two Twix bars ― I thought it was a pause button.”

Addressing the tweet, Twix followed up with a response on its Facebook page in July 2021.

They wrote: ”Or maybe it’s both”, before explaining what the iconic logo really means.

”Raise your hand if you were today years old when you learned this is BOTH a pause button and two TWIX bars.”

Dozens of baffled foodies flooded to the comments, with many reminiscing over Twix’s 2011 pause campaign while others expressed their sheer shock over the revelation.

One person wrote: ‘I’m old enough to remember the commercials where they would pause time to eat a Twix.

More things people are only just realising...

Another chimed in: ”Every pause button actually IS two Twix bars… how do people not know this???”

A third said: ”I knew it was a pause button, but never thought of it as two Twix bars before now.”

It comes after sweet lovers recently rediscovered the riddle behind the bar’s famous name.

According to the Mirror, the original discovery came when one web user said they had read somewhere that the true meaning of Twix was ”twin biscuit sticks”.

The official Twix account responded to say it was ”close” but not quite right, before clarifying: ”It’s short for “twin sticks”.”

Reeves has escaped recession by the skin of her teeth but this is no day for celebrating… she faces toxic choices

RACHEL Reeves has escaped a recession by the skin of her teeth – but this is no day for celebration.

Britain’s economy grew in the last quarter by a paltry 0.1%, preceded by 0.0% in the three months prior.

Rachel Reeves speaking at a podium with "Kickstart Economic Growth" displayed.
Rachel Reeves has avoided a recession, but this is no cause for celebration
AFP
Bar chart showing UK real GDP growth from Q1 2024 to Q4 2024.
The economy grew just 0.1 per cent in the last six months of 2024

You might have to squint to see it on a graph, but the titchy increase in GDP means she has technically avoided the dreaded R-word that keeps chancellors awake at night.

Yet the Treasury champagne will remain firmly corked for now, as the stats present the embattled Ms Reeves with immediate problems.

First, these sluggish levels of growth are nowhere near the boom she had both suggested during the election, and banked on to pay for her vast spending plans.

The headroom raised by her controversial tax-hiking Budget has since been wiped out by the eye-watering costs of paying off the country’s debts.

It puts her dangerously close to breaking her “non-negotiable” fiscal rules not to borrow for day-to-day spending.

In the minds of some economists this leaves her facing a politically toxic choice: hike taxes again, or cut departmental budgets.

Ms Reeves has all-but ruled out more tax rises – she is already facing enough fury for the looming National Insurance hike.

And saddling Brits with even higher taxes risks suffocating the little growth we have.

Which all points to deep cuts across Whitehall, something that will go down like a lead balloon with Cabinet colleagues itching to splash the cash, and Labour grassroots who shudder at the thought of Austerity 2.0.

There are obvious savings to be made, namely the UK’s ballooning benefits bill and maddening levels of waste across government.

Second, and perhaps even more worryingly for the Chancellor, GDP per capita has shrank for the last two quarters – i.e the increase in the population means the value of growth felt by each person is diminished.

For a government pledging to increase living standards, this is not a good sign.

Third, the growth recorded in the first quarter of 2024 – when Rishi Sunak was PM – has been revised up to 0.8 per cent.

These are levels Ms Reeves would now kill for, and exposes her to attacks from the Tories who will gleefully brandish claims that her Budget has strangled their growth stone dead.

There are some crumbs of comfort, namely that economic output in December was better than expected, driven by the services and construction sectors.

But Ms Reeves knows she is in a tight spot, and is under pressure to deliver.

She owned the £40billion worth of tax rises at the Budget to “fill a black hole in the public finances”.

Critics blast that this merely perpetuated the high-tax, low-growth doom loop Britain has been cycling for decades.

Labour would point to their sweeping plans for more housing, infrastructure and clean energy as the ticket to kickstart “growth at all costs”.

But voters who feel they were promised sunlit uplands by Labour are rapidly losing patience.

Questions about the Chancellor’s own future abound but seem premature, and she has been given Sir Keir Starmer’s full backing for the next five years.

But she knows she needs to find some growth – and fast.

Champions League star left stunned after being handed red card… for asking for opponent to be booked

MONACO were left in disbelief after their player was sent off for asking an opponent to be booked.

The Ligue 1 had fallen behind during their Champions League play-off first-leg game against Benfica just after half-time after a sumptuous chip from Vangelis Pavlidis.

It came after the midfielder gestured towards the ref that an opponent should be booked[/caption]

A challenge from Alvaro Fernandez on Breel Embolo in the 52nd minute then saw things go from bad to worse for the home side.

With ex-Manchester United defender Fernandez on a yellow card by this point, Monaco wanted to try and take advantage of the foul by reminding Italian referee, Maurizio Mariani.

Midfielder Moatasem Al-Musrati was chief among the culprits to do so as he was shown to be wagging his right hand at the ref in the gesture of showing a card.

Mariani then brandished a yellow card but to the 28-year-old instead of the fouling player.

Al-Musrati, who had been booked in the 41st minute, appeared to be baffled by the decision as his Monaco team-mates then protested against it.

It was a very unfortunate end to the Libya international’s Champions League debut following a loan transfer from Besiktas to Monaco in the winter transfer window.

But IFAB rules state a yellow card can be awarded to a player who: “Argues with the referee or other match official (verbally or by making gestures).”

The sending-off meant Monaco failed to get a vital goal back against the visitors to take to the second leg.

Monaco boss Adi Hütter and left-back Krépin Diatta both felt the decision was unfair, with the manager also moaning about a late yellow for Denis Zakaria which rules him out of the second leg.

Hütter said: “I didn’t see him walk to the referee. The only thing what he said maybe was ‘It could be a yellow card.’

“Yes these are the rules we have to accept, but he was not aggressive right?

“And when you see the second yellow card of Zakaria, he is suspended. These are harsh yellow cards.”

Diatta said: “I think everyone saw for themselves.

“He wasn’t angry and he was calm toward the referee. Sometimes it’s too severe.”

The second leg will be played on Tuesday 18.
