Fortnite confirms return of iconic character in Chapter 6 Season 2 teaser
EastEnders legend Anita Dobson’s tearful reunion with on-screen daughter Letitia Dean in 40th anniversary documentary
EASTENDERS legend Anita Dobson is set for a tearful reunion with on-screen daughter Letitia Dean next week.
The actress – who played Angie Watts in the BBC soap from its first ever episode – will appear on EastEnders: 40 Years on The Square on Monday.

The hour-long ‘deep-dive’ is fronted by actor and presenter Ross Kemp, who returned as Grant Mitchell in tonight’s episode.
It features special appearances from Albert Square legends Anita Dobson and Pam St Clement, with the original landlady taking a trip back down memory lane alongside her on-screen daughter Letitia.
Back on set for the first time in many, many years, Anita Dobson reminisces with Letitia Dean and Ross asks how it feels to be reunited:
Anita said: “Absolutely wonderful! I feel very emotional, very happy. She looks beautiful, I love her to bits.”
Letitia added: “Anita was like a second mum to me.”
“Yes, and she was the baby girl I never had,” Anita replied.
Ross shows Anita and Letitia an archive publicity photo of Lesley, Angie, Sharon and their pet poodle Roly.
Anita laughed: “That dog, you would say ‘action’, he’d sit up, you’d say ‘cut’ and he’d relax!”
Meanwhile Ross also speaks to Pat Butcher icon Pam St Clement in a rare interview.
Pam told him: “When I got the part of Pat like any actor I decided to do a bit of homework, I saw this bus conductress on a number 38 bus and she was wearing these most dangly earrings.
“Pat always wears the earring that fit her mood.”
Ross asked: “How many earrings did Pat get through?”
EastEnders' 40th anniversary cameos so far

With the 40th anniversary of EastEnders coming up, fans are looking forward to some more incredible cameos from iconic faces of Walford's past. But who have we had so far?
Tracy-Ann Oberman – Oberman returned as Chrissie Watts, a character she last played nearly two decades ago.
Paul Bradley – Bradley returned as Nigel Bates, a character he last played over 25 years ago.
Micheal French – French returned as David Wicks, a character he last played two decades ago.
Patsy Palmer – Palmer returned as Bianca Jackson, a character she last played in 2019.
Coming up this year…
Ross Kemp – Kemp will reprise his role as Grant Mitchell, a character he first played in 1990. The BBC has described Kemp’s storyline as “explosive”. Kemp said it was an “absolute honour” to return to the show.
Other aspects of the 40th anniversary celebration include: A wedding between fan favorites, A huge explosion at the Queen Vic, and A live interactive episode.
She told him: “You know those tool boxes you can get that fold up? I had one of those and a wall bracket with dangling earrings, but the interesting thing is most of them came from viewers.
“Oh, yes. They’d say – I saw these in the market and I thought they were absolutely right for Pat!”
China unveils plan for deep sea ‘mega lab’ hidden 6,500ft beneath the waves in bitterly contested South China Sea
CHINA has unveiled plans for a deep-sea mega-lab that will be hidden 6,500ft down in the bitterly contested South China Sea.
The underwater base will study “cold seep” ecosystems – unique seabed environments humming with life and potentially holding vast reserves of fuel.

China has debated subaquatic expansion in the sensitive territory for years, and this could inflame disputes that are raging in the region.
Once constructed, the station will be anchored to the seabed and constantly taking readings from the deep.
SUNKEN HQ
Inside, China’s facility will be kitted out with advanced life-support systems to allow scientists to live and work down there for up to a month.
It will also run a permanent monitoring network to measure levels of methane – the natural fuel scientists have detected down there.
It will accommodate teams of up to six scientists at a time, who will be carrying out live experiments.
Along with unmanned submarines, ships and seabed observatories, the new lab will form part of a much larger “four-dimensional” network giving China unprecedented depths information about its surrounding waters.
It will also be wired into China’s sprawling fibre-optic web that is laid across the seabed.
Scientists have not revealed how they will power the huge facility, but nuclear is a possibility.
The incoming innovation was announced this morning by Yin Jianping, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ South China Sea Institute of Oceanology.
He promised: “Construction will begin soon.”
China’s new plans are a similar concept to the US’s concept for an ocean-bed research centre being developed by Proteus Ocean Group.
The cutting-edge project is expected to be in place and operating by 2030.
UNTAPPED RESOURCES
The South China Sea is hot property because it is strategically important and could be a cash cow to those who exploit it.
The Chinese government believes there is a mind-bending 70billion tonnes of methane waiting to be tapped beneath the sand.
If they could access that, it would boost their current gas and oil reserves by half.

It exists as an ice-like solid of frozen methane and water.
The vast seas also contain valuable mineral deposits, including cobalt and nickel.
And there are other, more unusual possibilities scientists have got their eyes on.
Amongst the hundreds of species populating the ocean, some are known to produce enzymes that are key to developing cancer treatment.
Why is the South China Sea contested?
THE South China Sea is an arena for a power struggle between different powers.
Several countries claim the rights to large portions of its territory based on historical rights.
The problem is, some of these claims overlap.
China’s claim is based on a vague “nine-dash line” on some maps, which is not generally recognised in international law.
Many countries argue that China’s claims violate the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
Other countries, like Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei, are eager not the concede the territory, because it is known to hold valuable natural assets like natural resources.
One major point of tension is the Spratly Islands, with multiple countries claiming ownership of various islets and reefs.
China has been criticized for constructing artificial islands in the South China Sea and deploying military equipment there.
The latest announcements for a seabed research centre will further inflame this anger.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori ‘SPLIT’ and ‘plan to divorce’ days after naked Grammys stunt & rapper’s antisemitic rant
KANYE West and Bianca Censori have split just days after his vile antisemitic outbursts on social media, The U.S. Sun can report.
Kanye, 47, has been staying at the Four Seasons hotel in Los Angeles, while Bianca is living in their new $35million Beverly Hills estate, a source claimed of the newly-split pair.

The Daily Mail reported Bianca will be filing papers in the coming days, and will receive a $5million payout in the divorce.
Trouble appeared to brew between Kanye and Bianca on February 2, when they walked the Grammys red carpet in LA.
Bianca went nearly nude in a see-through mesh dress as Kanye stood by her side in a black shirt and trousers.
‘WEIRD ENERGY’
The U.S. Sun exclusively reported that the pair appeared to be arguing just moments before pulling the shocking P.R. stunt.
Actress and social media star Riley Mae Lewis, who was standing near the couple on the red carpet, told The U.S. Sun the pair had a “weird energy.”
“She didn’t look like was fully onboard with the scandal he wanted to create on the carpet,” Riley said.
“The energy between the two seemed off, and a lot of people on the carpet thought the exact same thing.
“It makes me concerned for what their relationship is like behind the scenes.
“When I saw him, he kind of gave me a flirty look even though Bianca was right next to him… the whole situation was weird.”
In addition to his hateful and antisemitic rants on X, formerly known as Twitter, Kanye made comments toward Bianca that fans found disturbing.
He also made troubling comments about domestic violence.
“When I [sic] man truly loves a woman he may express it in rage I empathize with both sides,” he said on February 9.
“You have to truly be in love to get to the point of risking everything.”

Watch moment shirtless tourists brawl & batter bouncers with poles in hols hotspot Bali as cops launch manhunt
THIS is the shocking moment shirtless tourists brawl with bouncers in the middle of a street in Bali with a manhunt underway to find the attackers.
Footage shows the wild melee as five foreign tourists batter security with poles and leave one guard in hospital and three others injured.

The hospitalised bouncer had his teeth and nose broken as well as suffering a nasty cut to the back of his head.
A second was left with cuts over his body and a bite mark on his hand.
The violent clash took place in a car park at a ritzy beach club in North Kuta on Tuesday night at around 9.40pm local time.
One of the tourists who kicked off the scrap is believed to be an Australian with the other nationalities yet to be announced.
Police allege the Australian man harassed a woman inside the club before he was booted out and later turned on security.
Second Inspector Putu Sukarma said: “The security there saw one of the alleged perpetrators strangling another guest sitting at another table.
“The cause was allegedly a row with a woman there.
“The incident ignited emotions. An argument was unavoidable until [the Australian] strangled another customer at the table.”
Club security say they tried to break up the fight after previously warning the man over anti-social behaviour.
Police then allege the Australian was marched out of the club by security guards before managing to break free and start assaulting them.
Four other men followed the Aussie out and also got involved in the scuffle, according to cops.
Footage showed a shirtless man grabbing a security member as another man started to hit him what looked like a bollard.
In the clip, the men could be heard saying “let’s go”, before fleeing the scene shortly after.
The fight even caused traffic outside the club to be interrupted.
Inspector Sukarma confirmed the men are still on the run.
He said: “No one has been arrested related to the incident so far.
“[The] investigation is underway.”
Police said security staff suffered a number of serious injuries in the confrontation.

Watch the shock moment Love Island villa turns on Elma and Sammy after explosive row with Ekin-Su
TONIGHT the Love Island villa turns on Elma and Sammy after their explosive row with Ekin-Su.
It’s after Ekin-Su’s conversation with Grace and Gabby claiming that the couple are deflecting their own problems onto her.

The friends relay this information to Elma’s close pal Catherine – who is then seen pulling her for a chat.
Grace says to Catherine: “Ekin feels like Sammy and Elma deflect from their problems in their couple onto Ekin.”
Gabby added: “Ekin seemed to think they are firing shots towards other people to kind of take away from the spotlight on those problems.”
Grace continued: “I feel like we never thought about it like that before.
“We weren’t sitting there thinking ‘wow yeah you’re right’ but it did get us thinking.”
In the first look at tonight’s episode, Catherine appears as though she’s taken Catherine to the side to tell her about the situation.
Elma said: “Are you going to tell me something? Am I going to be fuming?”
Catherine replies: “I don’t know, it depends how you take it.”
Elsewhere on the show, Elma speaks to Ekin-Su one-to-one after their row last night.
She says: “I feel like we both got a lot off our chest yesterday.
“I want to clear things up because I feel like you think I’ve got a vendetta against you and in all honesty it was never about you…
“I find Curtis very jarring… it’s a shame to me that we lost a friendship that I actually believed we were getting back.”
Ekin adds: “After the heart rate challenge, yes i did f**k up, which was wrong, I said sorry…all these games kept happening, you both voting us, I felt like this is becoming a pattern.”
Elma responds: “I think it seemed like it was becoming a pattern but it was never based on you…everything else was all to do with Curtis.”
Ekin-su adds: “Unfortunately even if you are aiming it at Curtis it feels like you’re aiming it at me…”
