Channel 4 star ‘broke girlfriend’s jaw, threatened to burn her & pulled out clump of her hair in 5yr campaign of abuse’
THE star of a Channel 4 reality TV show broke his girlfriend’s jaw, pulled out a clump of her hair and threatened to burn her in a campaign of abuse, a court heard.
Heavily-tattooed Jack Woodman, who featured on Channel 4’s Bodyshockers, punched his girlfriend Crystal Taff, it is claimed.

In another attack he pulled a clump of her hair out and also threatened to burn her with a pair of hair straighteners, Bristol Crown Court heard.
The 33-year-old pawnshop owner had been with Crystal for five years and the pair had two children together.
But a jury heard their relationship ended in 2022 when she walked out of the house they shared with Woodman’s mother following a series of alleged beatings.
Prosecuting, Caitlin Evans said: “This case is about Jack Woodman beating his partner and mother of his two children, breaking her jaw and pulling her hair out.
“On Father’s Day in 2022, he punched Ms Taffs after she came to pick him up following a night out at a casino in which he had lost a considerable amount of money.”
Giving evidence, Crystal, now 29, told how their relationship began after she walked out of her job as a hairdresser to start work at Woodman’s pawnshop, Jack’s Cash in Bedminster, Bristol.
She claimed that, one day, he attacked her in the shop.
She said: “One day I had agreed to cut my brother’s hair but Jack wouldn’t let me go until I had cleaned all the TVs in the pawnshop.
“He wasn’t happy with the standard of my cleaning of the TVs and he said I was a lazy b****.
“He was facing me and punched me in the right side of the face which was agony.
“I said I think you’ve knocked my teeth out and he said ‘If you don’t shut up I’ll make sure I knock the other teeth out’.
“I was very panicky as it just didn’t feel right.
“He made me stay in the shop and I sent a text to my stepmom apologising that I couldn’t cut my brother’s hair today. I didn’t tell anybody what had happened.
“I was in pain and very anxious and very scared. I didn’t know if anything was broken but I carried on working as normal at Jack’s Cash.
“I went to A&E because I physically couldn’t eat as it was too painful and so went to A&E but it was far too busy and [I] was told that it would be up to five hours.
“I was conscious that Jack would come home that evening and so I went back to his house.
“I went back to A&E the following day and had x-rays taken which showed my jaw was broken.
“I was referred to a surgeon at Bristol Dental Hospital who said that I would need surgery to repair my jaw.”
In another incident during the weekend of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Taffs told how Woodman assaulted her in the car as they drove back from a family meal out.
She said: “During the journey home he was telling me I was boring to be with.
“It was a verbal argument but I do remember him pulling my hair which was something he often did.
“He reached across and just pulled out a clump of my hair and left me with a bald patch.
“I was really upset and started to cry when I looked in the mirror.
“He came in and started to get quite angry.
“He pushed me on the bed and threatened to burn me with my straighteners.
“He had me pinned down with his hands around my neck so I couldn’t move. I was on the bed and he had the straighteners snapping next to my face.
“I was petrified but he didn’t burn my face. This wasn’t an uncommon thing over the five years and I was terrified.”
Woodman from Kingswood, Bristol, denied GBH and two charges of ABH against Crystal Taffs, the mother of his two children.
The trial continues.
Molly Mae left fuming as Michelle Keegan’s Brassic films outside £3.5m mansion

MOLLY Mae was left less than impressed after her day was ground to a halt due to TV series Brassic.
The Sky TV comedy, which stars Michelle Keegan and Joe Gilgun, is currently filming its seventh and final season, bringing the story of the chaotic friend group to a close.

However, news that filming was so close to Molly’s house wasn’t passed on, and as a result threw a spanner into her day.
A source exclusively told The Sun: “They blocked off her street and were filming two houses down from her.
“She was livid as she wasn’t told about filming and was disturbed by the noise.
“She started trying to drive down the street but had to stop due to the disruption. It wasn’t a great start to her day.”
Exclusive pics acquired by The Sun show cars and police vehicles blocking the road, with a roadworks sign warning: “Traffic control ahead.”
While Molly is certainly no stranger to cameras, having just filmed her own documentary, Molly Mae: Behind It All last year, this was certainly not something she’d prepared for or had in mind.
After leaving her multimillion pound pad, which has been dubbed Molly Maison, she seen stopping as she tried to exit the street, with filming stopping her getting past.
It’s not known what scenes are being filmed in the show, or how it connects to the final series.
Brassic, which first launched in 2019, follows a group of working class friends as they struggle to make ends meet, resorting to petty crime and running into trouble as they go.
Bonded by lifelong friendships, the group navigate bizarre antics and heists while avoiding the cops, as well as mental health and the group’s changing dynamic as they grow up.
Michelle Keegan plays Erin, a single mum who dreams of a better life away from the world she’s in.
The series has become one of Sky’s biggest shows ever – but it was announced that the upcoming seventh series would be its last at the beginning of this year.
The news comes shortly after it was revealed that Michelle is pregnant with her first child, with her making the announcement alongside husband Mark Wright weeks before the show’s end was confirmed.
Danny Brocklehurst, co-creator and writer of the show, said: “When Joe Gilgun and I sat down to create Brassic, we couldn’t have imagined, in our wildest dreams, that we would do seven series and gather such a loyal and loving fan base.
“It’s been a complete joy to create this eccentric world, but all good things must come to an end, and we want to stop while we are still riding high. Maybe they can finally give us that BAFTA.”

Game shoppers furious over ‘greedy’ delivery charge on Pokemon trading cards as they threaten to boycott retailer
FURIOUS Game shoppers are threatening to boycott the retailer after discovering a “greedy” shipping charge being applied to new Pokemon trading cards.
The new “Scarlet & Violet Prismatic Evolutions” cards are in hot demand, with other retailers selling out immediately.

Game still has Prismatic cards in stock, but is applying an “oversized” shipping fee of £20 to orders, even though it will ship other items of a similar size or bigger for a standard delivery fee of £4.99.
Standard delivery takes from three to seven days, while oversized delivery takes between three to 14 days.
Scarlet & Violet mini tins, which are selling for £10.99 each, are subject to the hefty levy, bringing their overall cost to £30.98.
Another new Scarlet & Violet product, containing a sheet of stickers, a foil promo card, three booster packers and a code card for Pokemon live, costs £15.99, but also has a £19.99 shipping charge, more than doubling its cost.
There are no other shipping options available on these products.
In contrast, a larger tin of Pokemon Paradox Destinies cards and a £79.99 box containing a card-display dragon figure and 10-booster packs can be delivered for the standard £4.99.
Even a Nintendo Switch console can be bought from Game.co.uk with standard shipping.
The levy on the new Prismatic range has sparked a furious backlash among fans, with many taking to social media to complain.
One fumed on X, formerly Twitter: “How come a small tin of Pokemon cards currently costs £19.99 postage without the option of store collection. Seems like a money making scheme.”
Another added: “Greedy f*ckers taking advantage of limited stock items. £20 postage charge on an £11 Pokémon tin that is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand with no other options… what a joke.
“Customer support says this is intentional pricing. Never buying from u again.”
A third said: “Why are you charging a £20 delivery charge for a small item that costs £15.99??? Pokemon TCG tech stickers. Are you jumping on the scalping bandwagon too???”
A fourth moaned: “Why are you charging so much in postage for The Prismatic Pokémon cards? £20 for a triple blister pack is crazy.”
And a fifth joked: “Are you on crack? £20 delivery for some Pokemon cards?
“I’m literally just outside of London fam. This store is jokes.”
According to the Eurogamer website, staff working for Game stores had to deal with angry customers who were unable to buy the cards in-store on release day.
The new sticker set is also available on the Sports Direct website, which is owned by the same retail group, for the same delivery fee.
Sun Online approached the Frasers Group, which owns Game and Sports Direct, for a comment.
Delivery charges skyrocket
Retailers say they want to give shoppers a wide range of options and customers can often use click and collect to dodge fees.
But consumer expert Martyn James says many delivery charges don’t “bear much comparison to reality” and it’s almost “impossible” to know what it actually costs to send goods.
He previously told Sun Money: “Buying online has become so easy. But the speed at which retailers move us through the checkout means we often miss vital costs, like how much it will be to post an item and how much it will cost to return it.
“The differences between prices can be huge, from a few quid to £40 to £50 or more.”
In an exclusive investigation last year we compared delivery charges across 20 of our readers’ favourite brands.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

‘I know a lot of things’ – Mo Salah’s former team-mate and best friend says star is ‘close to leaving’ Liverpool
MO SALAH is close to leaving Liverpool claims his best friend and former team-mate Dejan Lovren.
The forward is out of contract in the summer and has on multiple occasions hinted he could leave.

After Liverpool beat Manchester City in December Salah said he was just trying to enjoy the occasion as it could be the last time he plays against City – he said the same after winning at Old Trafford this season.
Salah is believed to be looking for a new three-year deal at Anfield and will want similar terms to his existing contract.
So far the club’s owners, FSG, have refused to bow to his wage demands and he knows there would be mega money on offer in the Saudi Pro League.
Former Reds team-mate Lovren, who was a close friend of Salah at Anfield, believes the Egyptian could be on his way out of the club.
He told Fotbollskanlen: “I think he is close to leaving. Right now I think he is closer to leaving than staying.
“That’s what I know, that’s my feeling. I obviously hope that the situation changes.”
Last month Salah confirmed once more that this will be his last year at Anfield, with his desire to mark his departure with a Premier League win.
He said: “This is the first time I would say I really want to win the Premier League [over the Champions League].
CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

“Why? Probably because we didn’t celebrate the last one we won the way we wanted and also coming back it’s my last year in the club so you want to do something special for the city.”
Asked to elaborate on his comment, Salah added: “Do I really believe it’s my last year? So far yes.
“These last six months there is nothing, no progress. We are far away from progress but we just need to wait and see.”
Golf tips, free bets and latest odds for the Genesis Invitational

NO Tiger and no Tinseltown setting, but this week’s Genesis Invitational still oozes with star power as it moves from Los Angeles to San Diego.
The switch from Riviera in LA to Torrey Pines further down the coast is due to the impact of the wildfires that have ravaged Northern California.
Tournament host Woods has abandoned his planned return to PGA Tour action following the death of his mother, Kutilda, but he plans to make an appearance behind the scenes before the tournament is over.
Torrey Pines played host to the Farmers Insurance Open just three weeks ago. That should throw up a few useful clues, although only 29 of the 72 starters in this elite Signature event also turned out last month.
World No 1 Scottie Scheffler heads a field that also includes Rory McIlroy – an impressive winner at Pebble Beach on his last start – so the line-up is a lot stronger this time.
With 5-1 favourite Scheffler yet to show his best form after undergoing surgery on a cut hand on Christmas Day, there is a case to be made for McIlroy heading the market here. At 8-1, he certainly looks the more attractive proposition of the big two.

Genesis Invitational Golf tips
McIlroy has not played here since Torrey hosted the US Open in 2021, when he finished tied seventh. Two top fives in three previous appearances provide further evidence he has the game for this course.
But with wind and rain forecast for the first two days, and four inch rough in places, he will have to repeat the laser-like accuracy he showed at Pebble.
No-one is better than Collin Morikawa at hitting fairways and green at the moment. He finished in a share of fourth here at the 2021 US Open, and will love the tough set-up. So he has to come into the reckoning at 14-1.
Jason Day has won the Farmers twice, but was a disappointing 32nd here last month. But he played a lot better to finish just outside the top ten at Pebble, and at 45-1 he looks a decent each way shout.
Harris English was in typical gritty mode as he survived a final round 73 to win here last month despite a closing 73. But conditions will ease over the weekend this time, and it is easy to see him being swallowed up.
Sungjae Im, who finished fourth behind English, should go well again. His 33-1 quote looks fair, and another 33-1 shot, Taylor Pendrith could easily improve on his seventh place finish.
Among the outsiders, Farmers runner-up Andrew Novak – who looked the likely winner until English ground out 12 straight pars in tough conditions – is attractively priced at 125-1.
There is no DP World Tour event this week, but the LIV bandwagon moves from Saudi Arabia to Australia.
The LIV Adelaide market is headed by 13-2 shot Jon Rahm, with Tyrrell Hatton, Bryson DeChambeau, and Joaquin Niemann all at single figure odds as well.
That shows how competitive this is, and I would rather back a player who could pop up at longer odds.
The one who makes most appeal is South African star Dean Burmester, at 25-1. He has finished seventh and third in his previous Adelaide appearances, and was tied fourth in Saudi last week.
Louis Oosthuuizen, runner-up here last year, is another 25-1 shot worth considering, while it is always worth having an Aussie on your side on their home soil. Marc Leishman fits the bill at 22-1.
And after closing with a 65 in Saudi – the joint lowest score of the day – 50-1 chance Cameron Tringale looks best of the outsiders. He was third here a couple of years ago, and a repeat performance would bring a healthy each way return.

‘Week ruined already’ – Cheltenham punters suffer as five big horses are scratched from Festival
ANTE-POST punters have endured a tough few days when it comes to the Cheltenham Festival.
Those with fancy prices on Arkle odds-on shot Sir Gino got nightmare news when Nicky Henderson’s star was ruled out through injury.

The latest round of scratches came through today and more ante-post slips will have gone into the bin thanks to these five coming out.
ILE ATLANTIQUE (Arkle Chase)
Slashed into 8-1 for the Arkle after his smooth win at Naas in January, those on at that price were already wincing when he was tailed off behind Majborough at Leopardstown at the Dublin Racing Festival.
The warning light was on at that point and with no other entries at the Festival, it’s likely we’ll see him at either Aintree or Punchestown.
IMPAIRE ET PASSE (Arkle Chase, Brown Advisory)
Another who will miss Cheltenham altogether is Impaire Et Passe, who won the 2023 Ballymore doing handstands.
He was a Grade 1 winner at Limerick over Christmas, but his heavy defeat behind Ballyburn at the Dublin Racing Festival clearly made up Mullins mind about future plans.
Having won the Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree last year, it’s fair to assume he may end up in a Grade 1 novice there instead.
MISTERGIF (Arkle Chase)
Beating Tullyhill on his second chase start, Mistergif looked set for the Arkle with a decent each-way chance.
That is no longer the case, but he’s another who could be perfect for Aintree or Punchestown later down the line.
IMPERVIOUS (Mares Chase)
Perhaps the biggest blow of all, Impervious was a big fancy for a wide-open Mares Chase.
She’s been absent since winning both the Mares Chase in 2023 and the same race at Punchestown a month later.
And it looks like the wait will go on, with Colm Murphy delivering the devastating scratching.
One punter said: “No Impervious in the Mares Chase. Week ruined already.”
KAID D’AUTHIE (Supreme)
Although not the biggest surprise, it’s interesting to note that Kaid D’Authie came out of the Supreme.
He was an impressive winner over 2m4f on first completed start but seemed to hate the drop back to 2m at the Dublin Racing Festival.
We can expect much better from him next time out, so watch his entries carefully.
