American Idol star Doug Kiker dead at 32 as The Singing Garbage Man’s cause of death remains a mystery
AN AMERICAN Idol superstar singer has unexpectedly died at just 32 years old.
Heartbroken family members revealed that Doug Kiker has died in a devastating announcement.

However, his cause of death remains a mystery.
Kiker’s sister Angela Evans said the family was “completely unprepared” to hear the news of the singer’s death.
She asked for help bringing his body from Colorado and said they are working to provide the “memorial that not only he, but anyone deserves.”
“You will live forever in our hearts. I miss you so,” wrote Evans on Facebook.
Kiker rocketed to fame after auditioning for American Idol Season 18 and bringing judge Katy Perry to tears with his rendition of Rascal Flatts’ Bless the Broken Road.
He was eliminated the following episode, but made a lasting impression after telling the judges he works as a garbage man.

My gardening £6.99 secret weapon makes your roses explode with colour & you just need to add water
A GARDENING expert has revealed the secret to getting roses to bloom like crazy this spring – and it may all be down to brewing them a special homemade tea.
While many rely on specific fertilisers and careful upkeep, one simple secret can boost your roses: alfalfa tea.

Experts swear by this organic mix for healthier bushes, greener leaves and more blooms.
Alex Biggart, Brand Manager at 123 Flowers, explained: “If you want roses that look like they’ve been plucked straight from a royal garden, alfalfa tea is the way to go.
“It’s packed with natural growth stimulants that give roses everything they need to flourish.
“It’s like a superfood smoothie for your plants!”
Alfalfa is a leguminous plant loaded with vital nutrients including triacontanol – a powerful natural growth stimulant.
When brewed into a tea, this compound is released, feeding rose bushes with a blend of essential minerals and plant hormones that drive vigorous growth and flower production.
Alex said: “Triacontanol is like a wake-up call for roses.
“It speeds up growth, strengthens stems and dramatically increases the number of blooms. You’ll start noticing the difference in just a couple of weeks.”
DIY brew
Creating alfalfa tea is simple and requires just a few basic ingredients: 10 to 12 cups of alfalfa meal or pellets and 32 gallons (145 litres) of water.
You can get a bag of alfalfa meal for £6.99 from Living Soils Fertiliser.
Alex added: “Mix the alfalfa with water in a large plastic container and let it steep for about four to five days, giving it a stir every now and then.
“As it brews, the nutrients break down and infuse the water, creating a potent plant tonic.”
Once the tea is ready, apply it directly to the base of your rose bushes.
Alex says: “A gallon per large rose bush is ideal, while smaller, miniature varieties need about a third of that amount.
“You’ll start seeing deeper green leaves and stronger growth almost immediately.”

Boosting the brew
For an extra punch, Alex suggests customising the mixture.
He explained: “Adding Epsom salts can help with magnesium uptake, and a little chelated iron boosts chlorophyll production, which leads to even more vigorous growth. It’s a great way to supercharge your roses naturally.”
To maximise results, timing is key.
Alex said: “The best times to apply alfalfa tea are in early spring when your roses are waking up from dormancy, and again in late summer to strengthen them before winter.
“Twice a year is enough to see spectacular results, but if your roses are struggling, an extra feeding in midsummer won’t hurt.”
March gardening jobs

The Sun's Gardening Editor, Veronica Lorraine has shared the first gardening jobs of spring.
Start sowing seeds
You can plant Aubergine seeds into propagator – or outdoors after the last frost. Or you could try growbags in a coldframe – and hopefully you can harvest from August onwards.
Have a think about planting some different varieties of seeds this year – check out She Grows Veg and other sites for heirloom varieties. There’s an astonishing array on offer, like purple carrots, globe-shaped aubergines, lime green cauliflower or storage tomatoes that stay fresh for months.
Buy and plant summer bulbs
Summer flowering bulbs provide huge big blousey blooms – with some bringing a real touch of the tropics to your garden. Try Gladioli, dahlias, calla lilies, peonies and crocosmia.
Lawncare starts now!
Start your lawn care with a boosting high nitrogen spring feed, reseed any bare patches – and you’ll probably start mowing regularly in earnest this month. If you can – keep a corner long to help wildlife.
Check compost
Dig well rotting compost into your soil. If you have the space, it’s even worth digging trenches and chucking in your rotting veg that’s usually destined for the recycling bin – then cover. It adds great nutrients for free.
Clean outside spaces
Time to blast your patios and paths with a pressure washer – if your children are responsible enough it’s a great job for them – they’ll get soaked and have fun at the same time.
Soak sweet peas
Soak your sweet peas before sowing into long narrow pots or toilet rolls – put two seeds in a pot. These can go in an unheated greenhouse – and when there’s three or four pairs of leaves, pinch out the growing tip which will make them grow outward instead of upwards.
Create a wildflower meadow
Sow a wildflower meadow – if you have room. A lot of shops now sell wildflower mixes to make things easier – or even seed bombs which can just be scattered onto the soil.
Calling someone a numpty is acceptable at work, employment judge rules
CALLING someone a numpty is acceptable at work, an employment judge has ruled.
The light-hearted jibe could not be discriminatory because it did not have any racial or disability connotations, Judge Richard Nicolle said.

His decision came in the case of long-serving Met Police sergeant Sonny Kalar, who took offence at the phrase.
He alleged it was used twice by Chief Insp Marlise Davies, from the SO15 Borders Counter Terrorism Command, in a conversation when he was off sick in 2022.
But the judge threw out his claims of race discrimination and harassment, disability discrimination and harassment, victimisation and whistle-blowing detriment.
He said: “We do not consider that the term ‘numpty’ has any racial or disability connotations and, in the context that it was used, in what we considered to be a lighthearted manner, not one which was capable of constituting harassment.
“We acknowledge Mr Kalar may have perceived the comment to be disparaging but consider it relates to his heightened sensitivity.”
The “numpty” allegation was one of 271 made by Mr Kalar — all of them were dismissed.
The officer, who has retired after 30 years in the force, made wide-ranging allegations against senior officers within the Met, claiming there was a witch-hunt against him.
But Judge Nicolle said Mr Kalar labelled virtually every incident as harassment — and said from 2020 he was focused on finding evidence to support his legal claim.
Numpty, dating from the 18th century, was once voted Scotland’s favourite word.
Justin and Hailey Bieber ready to buy European mansion to flee ‘madness’ of health concerns and divorce rumors in US
JUSTIN and Hailey Bieber are considering a selection of stunning European villas to escape the “madness” of their life in the United States, a source has told The U.S. Sun.
The spotlight on Justin, 31, and his young family has intensified in recent weeks as rumors about his health continue to circulate.

WILD BEHAVIOR
His representatives have denied allegations of drug use, despite the 30-year-old appearing alarmingly gaunt and disheveled in recent photos.
Hailey, 28, was photographed alone at Paris Fashion Week, with the couple not seen together publicly for some time.
Sources told The Sun last month that their marriage is on the rocks, with their issues described as “bigger than just a fight.”
However, an insider specializing in luxury real estate in southern Europe claims they’ve been instructed by the Biebers to find a retreat in the sun where the couple can “enjoy some time far away from the spotlight.”
“They want to enjoy a simpler life again,” the insider said. “A slower pace of life to reconnect in a quiet environment.”
The realtor also revealed that, due to the intense scrutiny, Bieber expressed interest in spending more time abroad, possibly living outside North America for most of the year.
The singer, who welcomed his first child Jack Blues last year, is reportedly seeking a property with “great weather, privacy, countryside, and a quiet environment” where his wife and young son can spend quality time together.
“They told us they want to disconnect,” the realtor added.
The U.S. Sun has reviewed an extensive list of opulent, multi-million-dollar properties in Spain, Greece, and the south of France.
The homes range from $5.6 million to a staggering $18.5 million, but each checks the boxes for the ultimate getaway spot for the rich and famous seeking a break from the spotlight.
LUXURY LISTINGS
One option includes a seven-bedroom, six-bathroom villa in Mallorca, Spain, which, according to its official description, is “located in a privileged residential area with breathtaking sea and mountain views.”
The listing adds, “The property comprises two levels and features a majestic entrance hall with marble floors and exquisite woodworking, which is a prominent feature throughout the rooms. A magnificent staircase leads to the upper floor, where a spacious hallway leads to the master suite.”
The 6,244-square-foot villa is priced at $6.1 million. Meanwhile, a $5.6 million villa in Ibiza is also on the table.
This residence includes a heated saltwater pool and is situated in the tranquil Benimussa Valley, far from the chaos of the island’s world-famous party scene.
A $12.5 million Mallorcan “dream home” is another contender, set on an expansive plot of land in one of the region’s most exclusive areas.

MEGA-BUCKS MANSIONS
The most expensive option on their list is a stunning residence in the iconic Côte d’Azur region of southern France.
This three-level home, complete with an elevator, offers breathtaking views and “beautiful architectural style in a dominant position overlooking the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Cap Ferrat.”
The property also includes a staff apartment, should the Biebers wish to bring additional help.
One of the most striking options is located on the Greek island of Mykonos. Featuring eight bedrooms and eight bathrooms, the “ultra-luxury” Villa Calypso is described as a “real Mykonian palace.”
The villa checks every box, and as the official description notes, it is “totally secured with a high-tech alarm system and outdoor cameras.”
It also boasts an outdoor jacuzzi that can accommodate up to 10 people.
A beautiful $8 million seafront property in Athens has also been proposed by the realtor.
The U.S. Sun has extensively reported on Justin’s woes, including a deep dive into his shrinking entourage, failed business ventures and why close pals are urging him to “stop acting like a teenager.”

Love Island star heartbroken as dad dies from cancer and he pays emotional tribute
A LOVE Island star has been left heartbroken after he revealed that his dad has died, following a battle with cancer.
Brett Staniland, who rose to fame on Love Island in 2021, could be seen in a photo with his twin and their family members, as he revealed the sad news.

The reality star’s dad was in the photo, standing in the centre, and Brett wrote to his legion of fans: “I’m sorry for those seeing this now and this is something I haven’t shared much of on here.
“Sadly we lost our dad Mike yesterday after a short battle with cancer, which he was diagnosed with stage 4 in September.”
Brett continued: “He fought as hard as he could for the last 6 months and it was unexpected to lose him so soon.
“He gave us an amazing life and loved out his dream of moving to Turkey and living a happy life there.
“We will be honouring his wish to be buried in the place he called home and we will lay him to rest here in Turkey tomorrow.”
Brett finished by writing: “He was loved by everyone and always did everything he could for other people.
“He leaves an irreplaceable hole in our lives but we will cherish our memories forever. Thank yiu to everyone who shared a friendship with him and loved him through it all. Love you always Dad.”
Fans of Love Island met Brett a few years back, as he introduced himself as a PhD student and model from Derbyshire.
Brett has an identical twin brother – Scott – revealing before entering the villa: “We’re mirror twins. Our hair naturally parts the other way, I’m left handed, he’s right handed, I’m he’s left footed and I’m right footed.
“There’s some blemishes on our skin which are perfectly opposite. I’m older by two minutes.
“There’s some very peculiar questions I get asked, like if I hit you, will he feel it?”
Nowadays, Brett can be found posting to 97,000 followers on Instagram, and he is an advocate for sustainable fashion.
Two years ago, the campaigner unleashed a war of words on Love Island star Paige Thorne, after she was unveiled as the latest brand ambassador for online retailer, Shein.
Brett accused the company of exploiting their supply chain and unethical mass production.
Speaking at length in the video, Brett said: “Paige from Love Island is the latest Shein ambassador. Paige Thorne is the latest in a long line of reality TV stars to partner with fast fashion, and this time it’s everyone’s least favourite: Shein.”
Brett went on to claim: “Shein are renowned for the exploitation of people in the supply chain, massive overproduction and incredible churn of products and Uyghur labour.
“Shein has been ramping up their activation’s in Britain and this collaboration forms part of that.”
He then blasted Paige for signing a deal with the company and questioned whether it had always been her intention to work with the brand or if her decision was motivated by money.

MAFS bride files police report on show groom over ‘revenge porn’ scandal – just days after fans watched wedding
A MARRIED at First Sight bride has accused her groom of sharing ‘intimate’ content of her online and has filed a police report for revenge porn.
Jacqui Burfoot starred on the latest series of the Australian version of the hit reality show.

MAFS AU is currently airing weeknights on E4 in the UK, as fans watched the businesswoman marry hunky Ryan Donnelly.
However, Jacqui has taken to social media to accuse Ryan of revenge porn and confirmed she’s filed a police report.
The 29-year-old has accused him of sharing ‘sensitive, private and sexual’ content of her online.
Writing on social media, she told fans: “I encourage anyone to disengage with this content as nobody deserves to go through this.
“Thank you to all the lovely humans reporting him. He is deleting all comments of people concerned of this nature but it’s a police matter now.”
In another Instagram story, Jacqui shared a screenshot requesting Ryan to remove content relating to her and said it was a “violation of my rights”.
She then told MAFS fans: “And no, I am not playing victim. I am a victim.
“There is no shame on me, there is shame on you (Ryan, ESA, Channel Nine & his enablers who are continuing to enable his abuse and give him a platform to do so (like on the Today Show).
“I don’t know how any decent human being cannot see how wrong his behaviour his.”
Ryan has since turned comments off on his Instagram posts, and continues sharing content from the show.
The Sun has approached Endemol, the show’s producers, for comment.
Since getting married fans have watched Jacqui and Ryan struggle to become adaptable on the show.
On their wedding night the project manager dropped his bride during their first dance in awkward scenes, after she had to drop three hints for him to offer his suit jacket to her as she shivered during their official pictures following their nuptials.
Wednesday night’s episode then saw Jacqui flip over Ryan’s habit of leaving his shoes on the bed, while he failed to rank her first when it came to judging this year’s MAFS brides on attractiveness.
