MILLIONS of copies of Pokémon games have been flogged across Britain – so chances are, you’ve got one at home.

And if you’re keen to cash in, some of the classics are worth hundreds (and even thousands) of pounds.

The Pokémon Puzzle Challenge game is now a collectible worth paying hundreds for – but there are even more valuable titles…[/caption]

Pokémon launched as a pair of games in Japan in 1996, and quickly became a global sensation.

It wasn’t until October 1999 that Pokémon Red and Blue landed on the original Nintendo Game Boy.

And since then, dozens of Pokémon games have been released across several Nintendo consoles.

One prize pick for collectors is Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, which was a Game Boy Colour title.

Video game collectibles tracker PriceCharting lists the estimated worth of a sealed copy as £442.59.

And a professionally-graded copy that is sealed is valued even higher at £486.86.

Even if you couldn’t resist and opened the box up to play, you could still fetch £258.90 for a complete-in-box copy.

Sadly the estimated value of a loose cartridge is far lower at £29.81.

But the game’s box is said to be even more valuable at £105.66.

And the game’s manual could also fetch a tidy £20.30 if that’s all you’ve still got.

      EASY SELL?

Of course if you do decide to sell your copy of Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, you might get different results.

These estimates are based on previous sales of the game online – and don’t guarantee any values.

So you could get much lower offers than the ones listed here.

On the other hand, collectors might be willing to pay even more for your prized Pokémon cartridge.

It’s also worth noting that these prices reflect how much has already been paid for games.

But they don’t take into account the future value of your games, which might rise as they become rarer – or fall if people lose interest.

So consider carefully before selling your old classics, as they could be worth even more one day.

Nintendo’s series of Game Boy consoles were home to some of the most iconic Pokémon titles[/caption]

The game was inspired by the second-generation Pokémon Gold and Silver games.

This addictive puzzle title landed to very positive reviews, and was hailed as one of the best Game Boy games.

It was later re-released for the Nintendo 3DS in November 2014.

And if you’ve still got some old Nintendo consoles at home, they could be worth thousands too.
