A Dancing On Ice star has sparked concern among her fans on social media after her husband posted a worrying picture of her from hospital.

Brianne Delcourt, 44, was featured in an Instagram upload posted by her ex-footballer husband Kevin Kilbane on Friday night.

The pro-skater joined the ITV reality competition in 2010 and won it in 2011 alongside her celebrity partner, EastEnders actor Sam Attwater.

After finishing eighth in 2020 with Irish footballer and future husband Kevin, it was announced that Brianne would not be returning to Dancing On Ice in 2021.

The couple tied the knot later that year and now have two daughters together, with Kevin sharing loving updates about his wife on Instagram.

But the update he provided fans with on Friday worried them, as he confirmed that Brianne would be spending the early part of her weekend in hospital.

Kevin posted to the photo-sharing website an image of Brianne in comfy clothing, holding up a drawing that one of the couple’s children had made for her, sitting on a hospital ward.

‘I love you, Mummy, from Grace’ the drawing said, accompanied with a giant love heart in the middle and a depiction of Grace and ‘Mummy’ smiling together.

The caption to Kevin’s post read: ‘Going to miss you tonight, my girl. We all love you and are proud of you in every way. You got this! Always here.’

Many fans immediately flocked to the comments to ask if Brianne was okay and to wish her luck and love for her upcoming stay in hospital.

Kim Ramshead commented, ‘Hope Brianne is okay’ while PipMacGuitar asked: ‘What’s wrong with her? I hope she’s alright!’

Kevin didn’t provide any further updates about Brianne’s condition or the reason for her stay in hospital, with fans left wondering what could be happening.

Pro-skater Alexandra Schauman, who joined Dancing On Ice the same year as Brianne but left in 2023, simply asked Kevin to ‘keep us posted’.

Brianne and Kevin competed together in the 2020 series of Dancing On Ice, making it to week five before being eliminated, finishing on 22.5 points that week.

Kevin fared much better in football, playing over 100 games each for West Bromwich Albion, Sunderland, and Everton during a 20-year playing career.

Playing primarily as a defender, Kevin still scored 15 goals and played over 300 games in the Premier League, and also won Irish Footballer of the Year in 2004.

Since leaving Dancing On Ice, Brianne has been retraining as an interior designer, and she thanked Kevin for supporting her in her career transition.

Brianne said: ‘It’s taken a long frustrating two years to finally complete what I’ve always had such a buzz and passion for and I can finally say I’ve found my niche after performing has taken a backseat.

‘Thank-you to my beautiful husband who has had to do mom and dad duties and for your overwhelming support.’

As well as having two children with Brianne, Kevin also shares two daughters with his ex-wife Laura Harrison – Kevin and Laura were married until 2011.

Kevin is also step-dad to Brianne’s first daughter, who she had with a previous partner.
