A day care worker allegedly pulled a patch of hair off a 16-month-old boy’s scalp intentionally and left him with a bald spot.

Keshia Cochran, 24, was captured on CCTV footage approaching the toddler as he played and ‘grabbing his head and pulling a very large chunk of hair from his head’, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Lexington Herald Leader.

Cochran allegedly told the child, ironically: ‘We don’t pull hair.’

She ripped ‘a substantial amount of hair’ and the boy had a 6-centimeter bald patch, according to the complaint.

The boy started crying and screaming and Cochran was filmed casually walking to a trash bin and disposing of the boy’s hair, it states.

He was transported from The Play Zone in Leitchfield, Kentucky, on Tuesday to a nearby hospital to be treated.

In an interview with police the next day, Cochran admitted to intentionally yanking the boy’s hair.

It was not immediately clear if the child was acting up before the incident, and Cochran’s motive was not disclosed.

Cochran has been charged with first-degree criminal abuse, according to court records. Her mugshot released by the Leitchfield Police Department shows her wearing her hair in a high bun and a gray shirt and staring blankly.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday.

Leitchfield is roughly 75 miles southwest of Louisville.

Cochran was busted more than two years after a day care worker allegedly killed a seven-week-old child who would not stop crying and then Googled ‘shaken baby syndrome’.

The worker is accused of waiting over three hours before calling 911 from the home day care center in Forsyth, Illinois, to report that the child was unresponsive. The child died from blunt force trauma to the head and the worker pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.
