Eamonn Holmes has shared he’s worried he’ll ‘never beat’ his disc immobility in a concerning update on his health.
The former This Morning Presenter, 65, has been suffering from chronic back pain for several years and underwent spinal surgery in 2022 for a slipped disc.
Since the medical procedure, he has had to use a walking aid and has been candid about his ongoing health troubles, including a horrific fall down his stairs a couple of years ago.
These recent medical issues come after the TV star had double hip replacement surgery in 2016.
Now, in a new update to his followers on Instagram, the GB News anchor wrote: ‘Even when the sun shines there’s pain.
‘Sometimes I feel I’ll never beat this disc immobility but I’m determined to have a life ….. so pray for me, help me or get out of the way Social Media haters.’
Fans flocked to share their support in the comments, whether through messages of solidarity or advice on how to ease the worst of the pain.
‘Sending positivity your way. You’ve got this, Eamonn,’ @modelstrangers wrote.
‘I’m in terrible pain with my back as well, Eamonn Holmes, hope you feel better soon.. No one understands the pain unless they have experienced it,’ @mumlennox71 shared.
‘Sorry you are still struggling, I hope you find relief soon. Take care,’ @crkinley01 added.
The media personality’s personal life has been under the spotlight since his divorce from wife of 14 years, Ruth Langsford, 64, last year.
Towards the end of 2024, he was romantically linked with 43-year-old counsellor Katie Alexander, and the pair have since been seen at a handful of public events together.

He was spotted celebrating her 43rd birthday at the end of February at London’s West End, sporting a dazzling tie.
Although neither has addressed the romance outright, sources have said that Katie is ‘smitted, totally in love’ and ‘in it for the long haul’.
He also recently faced backlash for comments he made about Davina McCall’s 2025 Brit Awards outfit.
‘I was quite embarrassed by that,’ he said about the see-through dress during his GB News slot.
He added: ‘I was with Davina, with her the night before, having dinner. I couldn’t look at her the same way…’
And he left fans baffled after posting a snap of himself with Anthea Turner, seemingly ending a decade long feud.
‘We’re the same age @antheaturner and I and have had careers of similar length but my paper round must have been harder than hers ! Top Girl,’ he wrote in the caption.
