Every season of Love Is Blind we hear of at least one engagement that got cut. After the pods, it always seems as though there were some connections we didn’t see, purely because the producers deemed them not entertaining enough to be in the episodes.
But, we can be the judge of that. Here’s a rundown of every engagement that’s ever been cut from the final edit of Love Is Blind, and if the couples are still together or not.
Danielle and Rory – Season one

Rory was known in season one as being the number one advice giver in the men’s living quarters. So, plenty of people were shocked to know he got engaged, but it wasn’t shown. He popped the question to a woman called Danielle. She posted after the show to say they went on holiday to Miami together, after they weren’t included on the Mexico trip with the cast. They later broke up.
Westley and Lexie – Season one
Westley and Lexie also got cut from season one. They split up not long after, but have remained friends.
Kara and Jason – Season two

Jason confirmed he and Kara got engaged in season two. At the time, he called Kara “one of the most charismatic, loving, and supportive people [he’s] ever met.” Unfortunately, the couple have since broken up.
Caitlin and Joey – Season two
Caitlin and Joey also got engaged during season two. Caitlin shared that after their engagement, they “had an amazing summer and fall with the opportunity to travel, meet each other’s families, and build a genuine relationship without the cameras and crew.”
In the same posts, the couple revealed that they broke up after a couple months, but are staying friends. “We are no longer together,” Joey said, “but absolutely fell in love blindly.”
Wendi and Jimmy – Season four

During season four, Wendi and Jimmy weren’t selected to travel to Mexico with the other couples, so headed back home to Seattle to continue their story. Speaking to Netflix, Jimmy said “that’s where it started going back down to earth and everything started to unravel a bit.” After dating for around three months, the couple went their separate ways.
Ava and JP – Season four
Ava entered the pods having been married before, and JP had a six-year relationship break down during the pandemic. Upon meeting after he popped the question, JP said he was “taken aback” by how “emotional and heavy” the moment felt – and that was when things between the couple began to change.
“I saw him at the airport and he was a completely different person,” Ava told Netflix. She said she looked down to see her phone, and “I looked down and he sent me a text basically ending the engagement.”
Renee and Carter – Season five
Renee and Carter were one of three engagements cut from season five of Love Is Blind. The couple got engaged in the pods and also applied for a marriage license in 2022, along with the couples we did see on the show. Renee has since had a lawsuit against Love Is Blind, with some of the claims being about Carter. So no, they’re not together now.
Paige and Josh – Season five

Stylist Paige Tillman and sales rep Josh Simmons also got engaged in the season five pods. In a joint Instagram post, the couple confirmed the news, but said they broke off the engagement shortly after.
“Our story is filled with love, beautiful moments and happiness with no drama,” they said. “After the show we stayed engaged and even planned our wedding. During the time we shared together we fell deeply in love and also found out we just wanted different things out of life. We made the hardest decision to end our engagement, we have nothing but love and respect for each other and always will.”
Tran and Thomas – Season five
Tran Dang and Thomas Smith weren’t listed in the cast for season five. A lawsuit has since revealed Dang and Smith participated in filming for season five, but Dang sued her ex-fiancé Smith as well as the production companies behind Love Is Blind for sexual assault.
The producers have denied the allegations. The production companies said they were not aware of any wrongdoing, and in a statement said “we have no knowledge or control over what occurs in private living spaces when not filming.”
Brittany and Leo – Season six

Ah, Brittany and Leo. Brittany and Leo got engaged after dating in the pods, but didn’t carry onto the retreat. Following their engagement on the show, and ahead of all the couples heading away, a title card appeared on screen which told viewers the Brittany and Leo hadn’t been chosen to continue on their Love Is Blind journey.
Speaking afterwards, Love Is Blind producer Chris Coelen brutally said they didn’t have the budget to follow all the couples, and ditched Brittany and Leo because they didn’t feel authentic. They didn’t last together, so maybe he was right.
Kylie and Brian – Season eight
Kylie and Brian were one of two couples who got engaged during season eight, but didn’t make the edit. Kylie was a medical student, whilst Brian was a wine bar owner. She spoke out about their story being cut, and posted pictures of them together after the pods had aired. She said: “From the pods to reality—what a journey! Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and everyone I met along the way. Love Is Blind—you were a wild, unforgettable ride.”
Speaking to Tudum, Brian added: “The connection felt really effortless. We had a very similar sense of humour and everything really flowed naturally. After we aligned on the important aspects of life, we didn’t really take things too seriously and just had fun together.”
Guys, they’re still together!
Brittany and Mo – Season eight
Brittany and Mo were the second season eight couple to get cut. It sounds as though they continued to date for a bit outside the pods, but soon things got a bit messy and they called off their engagement.
