The teaser for Fawad Khan’s upcoming Bollywood film Abeer Gulal has been released, with the announcement that the movie will hit theaters on May 9.
Fawad Khan and co-star Vaani Kapoor shared the teaser on Instagram, featuring a romantic car scene between the two actors.
In the teaser, Khan is seen humming the 1942 classic Kuch Bhi Na Kaho, while Kapoor looks at him affectionately.
The clip ends with a playful exchange, where Kapoor asks if he is flirting with her, to which Khan responds with the same question.

The teaser provides a glimpse of only the two lead characters. While the film is confirmed for a worldwide theatrical release, it remains uncertain whether it will be screened in Pakistan.
However, there is speculation that its release in Pakistan could spark controversy among Hindu nationalist groups in India.
Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, who has previously helmed several Bollywood films, Abeer Gulal is produced by multiple individuals and production houses. The film’s cast, apart from Fawad Khan, primarily consists of Indian actors, including Vaani Kapoor in the lead.
The story follows two individuals who help each other selflessly, only to find themselves unexpectedly falling in love, leading to complications in their lives. Reports suggest that the film might portray Khan and Kapoor as characters from different countries, regions, or ethnic backgrounds, though no official confirmation has been provided.
With Abeer Gulal, Fawad Khan makes his Bollywood comeback after nine years. He last appeared in Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), where he starred alongside Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and others.
Notably, he becomes the first Pakistani actor to feature in a Bollywood film since 2018, following the ban on Pakistani artists amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
However, Pakistani actors have continued to work in Indian Punjabi films despite the ban.
