Shauwn Mkhize, popularly known as MaMkhize, has teased a return to the football business after her club, Royal AM was officially expelled from the PSL this week.
This comes after the club was placed on curatorship amid her R40 million tax evasion allegations.
The businesswoman and reality TV star has come under fire over her numerous clashes with the law, including tax evasion worth over R40 million, fraud, forgery, and bribery.
She has since expressed interest in purchasing Eswatini club Pirates.
MAMKHIZE TEASES FOOTBALL COMEBACK
In an Instagram post over the weekend, MaMkhize seemingly reacted to news of Royal AM’s PSL expulsion.
The flashy star posted a video of her hopping on board a Zikhulise vehicle, which belongs to her group of companies that works in the construction, transport, cleaning, and security business.
She captioned the cheeky clip: “It is what it is FOR NOW.” MaMkhize added several soccer ball emojis.
MaMkhize – who expressed interest in Eswatini club Maneni Pirates – captioned another image of herself with the words: “Guess what?”
Her son, Andile Mpisane, also stirred the pot with a Story that read: “New venture.”
SOCIAL MEDIA CLOUT?
Meanwhile, Maneni Pirates president Thulani Xaba has accused MaMkhize of teasing rumours that she is purchasing the club to gain social media clout.
He said: “I haven’t spoken to or met her. There’s nothing that has been spoken from my end to me…. I think it’s just more mileage for her socials. As for the team, nothing has been spoken to us about her.”
Xaba also shadily responded to MaMkhize’s criminal allegations and implied that she was not necessarily the person they would want representing the club. He also hinted at Royal AM possibly being expelled from the PSL after it was placed in conservatorship.
He continued: “She doesn’t have a team. As the president of the team, I would want to partner with her… but what growth can she add? What value can she add to the team?”.
