Forbes has released its 2025 Billionaires List, marking a historic milestone with a record-breaking 3,028 individuals featured, up by 247 from last year.
The combined wealth of these billionaires has reached an unprecedented $16.1 trillion, an increase of nearly $2 trillion over 2024. This year, a record 15 individuals were also seen surpassing the $100 billion mark.
Elon Musk reclaimed the top spot as the world’s richest person with a net worth of $342 billion, driven by soaring valuations of his companies, including SpaceX and xAI, alongside Tesla’s stock performance.
Mark Zuckerberg ranked second with $216 billion, followed by Jeff Bezos at $215 billion. Larry Ellison and Bernard Arnault rounded out the top five with $192 billion and $178 billion, respectively.
The United States leads the global billionaire count with 902 individuals, followed by China (516, including Hong Kong) and India (205).
Notable trends include the dominance of tech moguls like Musk, Zuckerberg, and Jensen Huang, whose collective fortunes have been bolstered by the surge in U.S. technology stocks.
