Formula One 2025: When is the Chinese Grand Prix?

The 2025 Formula One season will feature 24 races, the second of which will take place in China this weekend.

The next battle is scheduled for the Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday, 23 March.

The lights will go out at 09:00 (SA time).

Heading into the 2025 season, Max Verstappen is the defending drivers’ champion – for a fourth consecutive year – while McLaren are the reigning constructors’ title winners.

In last weekend’s opening race in Melbourne, Australia, Lando Norris in his McLaren took victory, followed by Verstappen, with Mercedes’ George Russell in third.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix was won by Red Bull’s Verstappen ahead of Norris (McLaren), with Sergio Perez (Red Bull) in third.
