TUI Airways is making changes to its summer 2025 flight schedule by cutting routes to four countries.

Airline schedule website Aeroroutes shared the changes, noting the difference between the flights offered in 2024 by TUI Airways and the schedule for this summer.

Greece, Spain, Turkey and Cape Verde will all be affected, with various routes from UK airports including London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol set to be cut.

The news comes after TUI confirmed plans to axe flights to three other holiday destinations last month: St Lucia, Costa Rica and Florida’s Melbourne Orlando International Airport.

However, the travel company said they will continue to offer holiday packages to these destinations using other airlines.

Here’s the full list of the latest destinations affected by axed flight routes.

Greece

Flights operated by TUI Airways to the Greek Islands of Crete, Rhodes and Santorini are due to be cut this summer.

The airline will no longer fly to airports in Heraklion and Rhodes from Belfast International Airport, or to Santorini Airport from Bristol Airport.

TUI Airways has also removed flights from East Midlands Airport to Santorini.

Those wishing these routes will have to seek out alternative options.

Passengers in Belfast can fly to Rhodes with easyJet or to Heraklion with Jet2.

easyJet also flies to Santorini from Bristol, while travellers in the East Midlands will have to find an alternative airport for a direct flight.

Spain

Flights from Manchester Airport to Almería Airport in Andalusia, Spain, have been axed by TUI Airways for the summer 2025 season.

Fortunately, Ryanair still offers direct flights between the two destinations.

Turkey

In Turkey, TUI Airways will no longer fly from Birmingham Airport to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport and Milas-Bodrum Airport.

The carrier has also removed flights from London Gatwick and Manchester to Izmir.

Alternative airlines travelling to Izmir from both London Gatwick and Machester include easyJet and SunExpress.

SunExpress also flies direct from Birmingham to the Turkish city, while Jet2 flies from Birmingham to Bodrum.

Cape Verde

TUI’s cuts to long-haul flights will affect travellers wanting to holiday in Cape Verde this summer.

Flights from Bristol to Aristides Pereira International Airport, serving Boa Vista, and from East Midlands Airport to Amílcar Cabral International Airport, in Sal, are set to be axed.

It means passengers will have to fly from alternative airports to reach either destination this summer.

Metro has contacted TUI for comment.
