In light of the recent earthquake that hit Myanmar and Thailand, Cambridge Judge MBA students are fundraising for those impacted by the natural disaster.
Cambridge Judge MBA students – led by Aeint Chel, Tim Cayanga, Stella Harman and Sean Lai of the Cambridge ASEAN Business club (CABC) – have teamed up with the broader University of Cambridge community to provide relief to Myanmar and Thailand.
With a magnitude of 7.7, the recent quake has devastated both Thailand and Myanmar. More than 2,000 people have died in Myanmar, with thousands more injured. Many families have been displaced, hurt, and are in urgent need of basic supplies and medical aid.
This has sparked much action within the Cambridge University community. CABC and Cambridge Judge MBA students have created a donation page with the message: “Let’s provide hope and relief to Myanmar and Thailand”. Their current goal is to raise £30,000 for those who have suffered as a result of the recent earthquake.
All donations go to charities on the frontlines supporting those in need, including the World Food Programme (WFP), the Rajavithi Hospital, Thailand, which is providing vital medical support to victims of this natural disaster and K9 USAR THAILAND, a charity carrying out rescue operations stemming from collapsed buildings in Bangkok.
