Everyone’s favourite makeup brand and perfumery, Glossier, has just launched another iteration of it’s viral, statement fragrance – and we’re excited.
Glossier’s signature scent is the classic You fragrance. Spritzed throughout the store and lacing our online orders, we’re drenched in the addictive fragrance.
Fast forward to present day, and Glossier is set to launch another new fragrance. Introducing Glossier You Fleur.
The label launched the standalone scent in 2017, which sold out due to popular demand – naturally.
Over the years, Glossier has restocked the hit fragrance several times, launched a travel size version, as well as a solid perfume, deodorant and a scented candle.
Just last year, the brand expanded its collection for the first time with two scents, You Rêve and You Doux, which equally impressed shoppers looking for a mysterious evening scent, and fresher take on the classic.
And now here we are with another hit fragrance on our hands. Glossier really know their skin-like scents, and we’re obsessed.
Glossier YOU Fleur 50ml
Glossier YOU Fleur is the perfect light and fresh yet gently floral scent. It boasts notes of ylang ylang and sweet apricot, with mineral salt accord, woody-notes of cashmeran and suede, yet floral tones of osmanthus.
The multi-layered scent has been designed as a skin-scent enhancer you can layer with other fragrances.
What we love about Glossier’s fragrances is that the quartet have all been designed to be skin-scent enhancers.
While you can wear them on their own due to their ability to stand out perfectly last all day, they can also be layered beautifully with other fragrances, too.
Glossier You Fleur has been described by the brand as’an airy and luminous floral blend’, boasting a multi-layered descent into fresh notes of mineral salt accord, sweet apricot and floral ylang ylang.
Contrasting this are notes of deep, woody and warming cashmeran, osmanthus and ambrox.
This medley of fragrance profiles creates a warm, musky base, with light and fresh top notes which lasts throughout the day.
While there are numerous ingredients, the key fragrance note is the wearer’s natural skin, which is the secret to why Glossier’s fragrances smell slightly different on every wearer. A skin scent blends with the wearer’s unique scent for a bespoke fragrance.
You Doux is fresh and floral, the original You (my go-to for day and night) is warm and familiar, while You Rêve is a more opulent evening scent. So where does Glossier You Fleur sit within the existing trifecta?
According to Glossier’s website, the new release ‘shares the same warm, musky base note as Glossier You’, with the light notes of the fresh, spring-inspired You Doux, and the warm, deeper undercurrent found in You Rêve.
So, in answer to our own question, it appears to be a combination of all three.
Glossier prides itself on being a cruelty-free brand, and You Fleur is also vegan.
The new fragrance will be available to shop in a travel-friendly 8ml for £32, as well as a 50ml bottle for £70 – making the larger version excellent value for money.
Glossier’s You Fleur is set to launch on 27th March, just days before Mother’s Day, so it makes the perfect gift for you and your mother figure.
While we are waiting in anticipation to get our hands on the fragrance to give you a full review, some lucky shoppers have beat us to it and have high praise for Glossier’s new addition to its ever-expanding fragrance range.
Glossier shopper, Jessica, tested the fragrance ahead of its official launch, and said: ‘Such an inviting scent! This is my favorite release so far (aside from the OG) and it’s super fun to layer with Doux and Reve.
‘Fleur is summery, with a hint of salt; soft and warm from the cashmeran; with some sweetness from the apricot. Definitely my new go to!’
Another shopper named Eliza added: ‘The fragrance is so delicate and light but it feels so luxurious.’
While Ilyss praised: ‘I absolutely love this fragrance. It’s the perfect blend of clean, musky notes with a subtle floral touch that feels fresh and airy. The scent lingers on me all day without being overpowering, making it feel like a truly natural, personal scent enhancer.’
Safe to say we’re extremely excited.
