WITH £10 million in the bank, Nala Ray was one of OnlyFans’ very top earners.
But the 26-year-old “felt like a pimped-out puppet” who traded sex work for a Gucci bag and now has a warning for influencers like Bonnie Blue.

Nala revealed how she started on OnlyFans and why she eventually left[/caption]
Nala was first approached by a man on Instagram at the start of 2020, when she was working in an orthopaedist’s office, she revealed on the Deep End podcast.
She said that at the time she was into fitness and posted clips of her working out and in her bikini, leading her to have a following of 20,000 people.
“Some random guy messages me on Instagram, and it’s when Covid had just hit or was just about hit, and he’s like ‘You would kill it on OnlyFans’.
“I’m like ‘What is OnlyFans bro?’
“At the time I was working for an Orthopedics company like I’m doing like a real big girl job not making any money.”
Nala decided to give it a go in her spare time and was shocked by just how much she was able to make.
She said she went from making £2,770 a month from her normal job to making £68,000 in her first month on OnlyFans.
You’re literally a pimped-out puppet and your pimps are your subscribers.

“It blew my mind, we are not promoting this people, not at all, there’s trauma that comes with this okay, way more than you can handle.”
Nala spent four years making content for OnlyFans and in total made £10 million from her stint.
But having now quit the industry to become a fitness coach, she has a stern warning to other women looking to get rich quick.
“You can create customised content for them, specifically saying their name and doing whatever they want, you’re a puppet you’re literally a pimped-out puppet and your pimps are your subscribers,” she warned.
Early Life
Nala was 11 years old when a tornado hit her family home in Missouri, leaving her and her four siblings homeless.
Her family lived in a hotel room for 12 weeks before they finally found a new house to call home, but the drama was far from over.
Shortly after moving in, her dad was caught cheating and he and her mum divorced.
The family began to make a new life for themselves as her dad flew to Mexico, but just two years later her parents remarried.
The turmoil left Nala feeling traumatised as she explained: “As a kid, you don’t even know you’re going through trauma but as an adult you’re like, man I don’t even remember how I was really feeling because it was just so much hurt all the time.”
During that time Nala’s family began to follow the Christian faith and her dad decided to become a pastor, but not everyone was a fan of their new lifestyle.
“I just felt like everything was being shoved down my throat and I had to do it cause I was the pastor’s kid,” she explained.
“I know my other brothers and sisters feel the exact same way and even my mum in some ways.
“I know she feels like that was just kind of forced into this role when she wasn’t even healed yet.”

Rebel Teen
Nala says that her turbulent childhood is one of the reasons she went down the OnlyFans road.
She adds: “Someone doesn’t just get on OnlyFans, become a millionaire and then they’re just like whoopy do.
“I just wanted to try it out, no, and I think that’s a big misconception right now with people that they’re like ‘there’s no way she became a Christian,’ you don’t know how broken I was.
“I had such a void in my soul, not just my heart but like my very being was like chipped away from so much hurt.”
As a teenager, Nala describes herself as stubborn and constantly looking for attention from boys to fill the void.
“I got a job when I was like 15 cause I just wanted to get out of the house so bad and then I found I was flirting all the time and I loved the attention,” she added.
“What I realised once I went through my love languages was ‘oh I love physical touch and I don’t get that at home.’
“No-one’s saying you’re my sweetheart I love you, all I see is my mum being depressed and my dad is not there mentally.”
What is OnlyFans?

OnlyFans is a subscription content service based in London.
As of 2023, it is thought to have more than 220million registered users and over three million content creators.
Sex workers charge monthly fees for access to pictures, videos and more.
While popular for porn, the site isn’t exclusively designed with that in mind – anyone who wants to build up a fan base and charge them for it can set one up.
Celebs like Katie Price and Kerry Katona are popular personalities on the platform.
“Whether you’re uploading tutorials, tips, behind-the-scenes footage or just endless selfies, a lot of your followers would be willing to pay for them,” the company states.
For every subscription that’s sold to a viewer, performers get 80 per cent of the cash while OnlyFans gets the rest.
It isn’t limited to adult content, as it has become popular with physical fitness experts and musicians.
OnlyFans career
At the age of 20, Nala started her career on OnlyFans but says it didn’t immediately lead to sex work.
She insists she only posted bikini pictures at the start.
“I had a boyfriend I was sending nudes to you know and I was like ‘oh I’m comfortable with this,’ another doorway opened,” she explains.
When she was approached to start OnlyFans, Nala advertised her account on Instagram and her popularity exploded.
I did not care at all I was like you’re paying me transaction, keep it coming.

Nala said she first started with ‘teaser’ content, a term used for pictures that aren’t fully nude or sexually explicit.
“It was not anything rated R yet,” she said.
Nala said “The money’s the trap,” which kept her posting more explicit content.
“Our addiction to porn in America is ridiculous… and it’s gotten so much worse because of OnlyFans. OnlyFans exploited it,” she claimed.
Because subscribers can pay for exclusive content and offer extra payment, many OnlyFans models have to talk to their clients and build relationships with them.
“I did not care at all, I was like you’re paying me a transaction, keep it coming,” she explained.
She also claimed to have had so many subscribers she could pay others to handle her inbox for her, as she focused on making more money each month.
When she first started, Nala’s parents had no idea about her new job but found out while they were out for dinner together.
“It was so crazy, I was at dinner with them and some waiter comes up to me while I was with my parents and is like ‘Are you Nala Ray?’
“And my mum Googles me and I’m like ‘Wow’ it was the most embarrassing thing ever but then my mum cut off contact with me,” she revealed.
Her pastor dad was another story though, as he encouraged Nala to carry on as she was giving him money every month.
“I was giving him money every month because he’s got such a hard life and he’s like wants to quit his job,” she explained.
“During it, I was just like ‘oh at least one person in my family is speaking to me’.”
Nala decided to move down to California and got herself her dream home and luxury wardrobe.
“My rent was like $16,000 a month, I was driving a Porsche, had super crazy designer bags.
“I went to other places in the world to go buy my designer bags that were one of a kind and I had a closet in every room in my six-bedroom home that was stuffed full of clothes,” she said.
During her four years on OnlyFans, Nala revealed she made £10 million, but it came at a cost.

New Life
Nala was enjoying life alone in her mansion until she met her now-husband, Jordan, on TikTok.
The pair began to message and became friends when she told him about her OnlyFans career.
She revealed that he began to send her Bible passages, which at first made her feel defensive.
“I got so defensive I was like ‘I’m ready to stop being your friend right now, how dare you judge me?’
“But he was not judging me in the least bit, he was loving me,” Nala explained.
Nala realised she was filling her life with materialistic things, and decided to quit OnlyFans so she could be with her partner, who said she needed to return to God.
“He wanted to literally hear me say ‘I’m deleting OnlyFans’ and I did, I was like ‘Dude I’m getting off,’” she said.
The pair soon started dating and seven months later were married.
When Nala told her dad about quitting OnlyFans, she was stunned by his reaction.
She added: “When I finally decided to follow Christ I called my dad, my husband was right next to me and I was like ‘Hey dad I’m getting off of OnlyFans.’
Now that I’m out of it completely, I’m like ‘I was literally hundreds of thousands of people’s slave.

“I was so excited but he was like ‘Well why don’t you just stay on another year and a half and like make more money and you know settle yourself in because it’s really expensive right now.’
“I’m like ‘Did you really just tell me to continue making porn?”
Now Nala is free of OnlyFans, she says her life is filled with much more purpose.
“I have a purpose, it’s not to make money and it’s not to self-serve, it’s not to buy this new Gucci bag on the shelf it’s not to travel the world,” she said.
She’s able to live off of the money she made through OnlyFans as she invested it and has gone back to posting fitness videos on Instagram.
But she gave a stark warning to those in the business like Bonnie Blue, who claims to make £600,000 a month through OnlyFans.
She said: “It’s not just your soul man, you pay for it in your thoughts, you pay for it in your body, you are a slave and you don’t even think you are.
“Now that I’m out of it completely, I’m like ‘I was literally hundreds of thousands of people’s slave.’”
Who is Bonnie Blue?
Born in May 1999, Bonnie – whose real name is Tia Billinger – grew up in a small Derbyshire village, and attended the Friesland School in the village of Sandiacre.
She has two half-siblings – a sister and a brother – who have always remained out of the public eye.
She never knew her biological father, and considers stepfather Nicholas Elliott her dad.
Bonnie also became something of a dance star in her local area, and competed in the British Street Dance Championships alongside her sister back in 2015.
She also had a part-time job at Poundstretcher as a teenager.
After school, she began working in recruitment.
In October 2022, Bonnie married Oliver Davidson, who she had started dating when she was just 15.
Once they were married, they moved to Australia, where Bonnie continued working in recruitment.
However, it was in Australia that she decided to pursue a different line of work, and tried her luck as a ‘cam girl’ – crediting Oliver for giving her the confidence to enter the adult entertainment world.
She quickly made a name for herself in the industry, and was soon making £5,000 a week.
But while her work life was going from strength to strength, her relationship was crumbling, and she and Oliver split after almost a decade together.
She moved over to OnlyFans following her cam girl success, and once again found fame on there.
She quickly became a favourite on the site, especially thanks to her “niche” of sleeping with young male students – such as when she bedded 158 students during Nottingham Trent University’s freshers week in September 2024.
Bonnie is now estimated to be worth £3 million, and makes around £600,000 a month on OnlyFans.
Her family are also supportive of her work, with mum Sarah Billinger even claiming she’s her daughter’s PA, and helps clean up after Bonnie’s events – as well as handing out condoms to young clients.
In January 2025, Bonnie claimed to have broken the world record for the most amount of sex in 12 hours, after apparently sleeping with 1,057 men from 1pm to 1am at a secret London event.
