The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards marked its 25th anniversary with a grand celebration in Jaipur on March 8 and 9, 2025.
The event began with the IIFA Digital Awards on March 8, honouring talents in OTT cinemas and series.
The main film awards ceremony took place on March 9, where Kiran Rao’s social dramedy Laapataa Ladies emerged as the big winner, clinching 10 prestigious awards.
Laapataa Ladies won the Best Picture award, along with Best Direction for Kiran Rao and Best Performance In A Leading Role (Female) for Nitanshi Goel. The film also received awards for Best Performance In A Supporting Role (Male) for Ravi Kishan, among others.
The event featured performances by prominent Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who paid tribute to her grandfather, Raj Kapoor.
The IIFA Awards’ Silver Jubilee celebration marked a significant milestone in recognizing Indian cinema’s global impact.
