Is this Kaizer Chiefs’ most important player?

Kaizer Chiefs defender Inacio Miguel has confirmed his importance in coach Nasreddine Nabi’s squad.

BIG BROTHER AT KAIZER CHIEFS

The 29-year-old Angolan has revealed that he is like an older brother to the likes of Mfundo Vilakazi, Mduduzi Shabalala, Samkelo Zwane, and Wandile Duba. “They will come in future to help the club, to keep growing,” Inacio said via FARPost. “My job now is to help them to learn, to grow and to improve. For me that’s the most important thing right now. I was once on the other side, I was a young player.”

“It’s important to be close to these – Vilakazi, Shabalala, Zwane, Duba. I like them, the way they see they can go longer than where they are.

“That’s the most important thing that the technical team tell me that if I can do that part of the job, I’ll do it for sure. They need us more than I need them. It’s very important to be close to them, to be an older brother to them. They’re the future of Kaizer Chiefs. They’re the present and will be the future as well.”

NASREDDINE NABI CONSIDERS STRIKER’S COACH FOR KAIZER CHIEFS

Kaizer Chiefs only earned a point against Cape Town City due to missed goal chances, which felt like a defeat. Coach Nasreddine Nabi agrees and is hinting at the idea of a striker’s coach.

“To not score today [Wednesday night] is not an issue to bring strikers coach, it’s probably an idea we can discuss but it’s not an issue for today’s game,” Nabi said via iDiski Times. “Just as simple as it is, what was missing was to put the ball inside of the net. I regret to lose two points today, we were unlucky to get three points even though we didn’t have a great first half, we had chances to score,” he explained.

“In he second half we did all we could but we couldn’t score, we were unlucky not to score over the 90 minutes,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor concluded.

PLAN TO TARGET PLAYERS FROM ABROAD

According to coach Nabi, Betway Premiership clubs have been unwilling to sell players to the Glamour Boys. The club’s new transfer strategy is to target players from abroad. The latest example was Thabo Cele, who joined the club in January after leaving his Russian club FC Fakel Voronezh.

“We know the competition, it’s hard to sign players from other clubs in South Africa for us, so we need to change our strategy and we have a new strategy in management for that,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor said via iDiski Times. “It’s not for me to talk to you about it, but the club, we have a new strategy that we are working on. After this window, we will maybe look outside, another country for other players.

“But it’s not about names, I don’t need big names, I need the profile of the player that can fit into my system, not a name. And we will go outside South Africa if we need to.

“But I don’t want too many players, but I want the quality players that my game model needs,” concluded the Kaizer Chiefs tactician.
