A MUM who is in a polyamorous marriage has introduced social media users to their relationship with five partners in total.
Nashville-based mother Dana, 31, explained that despite being married to their hubby Eli, 33, they’re still exploring other romantic connections elsewhere.

The couple – who work in the coffee and carpentry industry respectively – raise a seven-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.
”We call her Tiny Human here [on social media],” Dana said, adding they never show her face online ”to protect her privacy”.
But while Dana and Eli keep their daughter’s wellbeing to themselves, they’re very open about their polyamorous relationship on Instagram.
Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties.
It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple.
Its main difference between other forms of relationships, such as swinging and threesomes, is that there are typically feelings of love in a polyamorous relationship.
People who are poly believe it is possible to love more than one person at a time, and often emotions and forming a deep bond is key.
Often in polyamory there will be relationships of three or more people in an equal relationship with one another.
They can live together, or simply be in multiple relationships with the knowledge and consent of all involved.
There is no standard unit, and the people can be all male, female, a mix of genders, trans or gay.
”We’re not your average couple – we’re polyamorous,” said Dana.
According to the inked mum, outside the marriage, they’re ”comet partners” with someone by the name Tone, whom they don’t get to see often due to their busy schedules.
”But when we do, it’s like no time has passed,” said Dana who also shared adorable snaps of the pair.
In the clip, Dana also revealed they’re dating their best pal – who they now call their ”life partner” – and a ”beautiful girl named Kaylee”.
What is polyamory?
Polyamory is the practice of having romantic relationships with more than one person at the same time, with the knowledge and consent of all parties.
It can refer to relationships where one person has multiple partners or spouses, or where all parties are in a relationship with each other, for example in a throuple.
According to You Gov, 6.8% of people in the UK have been in a polyamorous relationship.
”We’ve been having a lot of fun together for a couple of months now.”
Although juggling a marriage and several other connections may seem like a lot for some people, that hasn’t stopped Dana from also exploring something new with another girl named Morgan.
”Yeah, my life is a little unconventional – but it’s filled with love, creativity and so much joy.
”I do my best to educate on polyamory based on my own personal life experiences,” said Dana who said they were ”here to break down the stigma of polyamory”.
The mum now uses her social media page to ”debunk all of the myths”.
‘F***ing weird’
The open marriage arrangements have since attracted a mixed bag of responses – while there were plenty of those who thanked Dana for the educational video, for many the polyamorous relationship proved to be too much.
One said: ”it might not be cheating if you consent to it but its still f***ing weird.”
Someone else said: ”You realize you could just have friends, you don’t have to sleep with everyone you enjoy hobbies with lmfao.”
”Feeling bad for the poor man,” a third commented.
A kinder viewer said: ”Not only do you seem like a really lovely person but you’re educational and create a non-judgmental space for super important discussions.
”Thanks for being you and being brave enough to be yourself.”
A second added: ”You get so much hate so thought I’d say, your family is beautiful and YOU’RE beautiful (handsome, gorgeous) whatever you prefer you seem like a really cool and sweet.”
