Erm, so the controversial MAFS 2025 bride Jacqui now claims she hasn’t been able to work as a lawyer since the show started airing in Australia two months ago.
Apparently the way the show was edited, and people’s opinions on Jacqui’s behaviour, have left her too stressed to work “for at least two years”.
Jacqui told Sky she can’t carry on with her job at a high-end law firm in New South Wales. She said: “I essentially left my job after I tried to go back to work because I was mentally distressed and couldn’t work. I’ve been unable to continue my career… I’ve been left to fend on my own, basically.”
Jacqui does not seem to be a fully qualified practicing lawyer. She has an undergraduate degree in law and finance. Jacqui appears to have done some consultancy work at various law firms over the years.

Apparently the backlash to her behaviour on MAFS caused her to not be “medically capable of performing (her) duties”. She explained: “I couldn’t function at work. I just couldn’t. My capacity to perform wasn’t there.”
Jacqui doesn’t see herself returning to the workplace anytime soon. “I’m like, not capable of working right now. It’s just not an option currently or in the foreseeable future.”
However, she would consider getting another job within two years, if she changed her name and dyed her hair, so people couldn’t recognise her.
Before filming MAFS Australia in 2024, Jacqui worked remotely as a “digital nomad” from Bali.

In addition to apparently working in law and finance, Jacqui has also said she runs a jewellery business, is a certified yoga instructor, and models. Honestly, how does she have the time?
