The news of Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good’s marriage was confirmed through a source who shared the development with PEOPLE.
According to the source, the couple got married on 18 March 2025 at their Los Angeles home.
The source also said: “They [Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good] truly care for one another.”
Entertainment Tonight, the first to report the marriage news stated that the couple were wed by Majors’ mother, a Methodist pastor. Meagan’s mother was also in attendance.
The wedding comes almost two years after the two were first spotted together.
The timeline of the couple’s relationship
According to Vulture, Jonathan Majors and Meagan Good first appeared together in May 2023 when they were going to see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Los Angeles.
They then confirmed their engagement at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in November 2024.
Good told PEOPLE then, “We’re feeling great”, while Majors said, “It’s a season of joy.”
The couple also talked to E! News about how they first met at the gala’s “unisex bathroom,” which is why they announced their engagement there.
Aside from the engagement, Majors have been going through the aftermath of a legal battle for the last two years.
The controversy surrounding Jonathan Majors
This marriage announcement comes after a lot of controversy have been surrounding Jonathan Majors.
In 2023, around the time the couple were first seen together, Majors was set to appear in court for assault and harassment of Grace Jabbari, who is his previous partner.
The trial then ended in December 2023. Back then, Majors was found guilty of two counts of misdemeanour assault and harassment. The actor claims he is innocent. All the details regarding the case have been reported and confirmed by Vulture.
In April 2024, the actor was then sentenced to complete one year of an “in-person batterers” intervention program in Los Angeles. This is as reported by the New York Post.
According to Stop Violence Against Women (SVAW), “Batterer Intervention Programs (BIP) are programs that batterers attend—some voluntarily, some under court order—to educate and rehabilitate the batterer. BIPs aim to change offender thinking and behaviour so offenders are held accountable. Victim safety is enhanced and to decrease the likelihood of further violence.”
During this legal battle, Majors didn’t want to harm Good by being associated with him.
Majors trying to push Good away
In an interview with PEOPLE, Good revealed that he tried to push her away when she first met Jonathan Majors due to his legal problems. “He actually tried to encourage me not to be with him,” she said back then.
Good then added “He wanted to protect me. I was like, ‘My love, first of all, you’re dealing with a Black Leo.’ And also, I grew up in this industry. The things that I’ve been through gave me the bandwidth to love other people, regardless.”
Despite his attempts, Good attended many court appearances with Majors to offer her support. This is one reason behind the actor’s happiness.
Jonathan Majors is happy with Meagan Good
Another source told PEOPLE that the couple are happy together despite any controversy.
“They are very much in love. At Paige Hurd and Royce O’Neale’s engagement party in Studio City this past Saturday, they were smiling and happy. They were both glowing. She was introducing him to everyone as her fiancé. At one point, Meagan was sitting in his lap, and you can tell they are both enamoured,” the source said.
