Kaizer Chiefs duo of Fiacre Ntwari and Edmilson Dove left Naturena this week to team up with their national teammates.

Dove has been called up to represent Mozambique in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches this week.

Mozambique will welcome Uganda at home on Thursday, 20 March before visiting Algeria on Tuesday, 25 March.

And Dove’s return is seen as a huge boost to their chances of qualifying for the global showpiece having recently returned from a long-term injury.

As things stand, Mozambique are placed second on the Group G log, tied on nine points with leaders Algeria.

The two nations have won three of their opening four qualifying games and lost just one going into their next fixtures.

Meanwhile, Dove’s teammate at Chiefs, Ntwari has also been called up by Rwanda national team.

This despite his continued lack of game time at Chiefs where he lost his No.1 jersey to Bruce Bvuma.

Ntwari last featured for Amakhosi in early November, and since then, he has fallen down the pecking order under Nasreddine Nabi.

Upon losing his place in the Chiefs team, the 25-year-old goalkeeper had featured in seven competitive matches and conceded a whopping 11 goals.

However, Ntwari has over the past proven to be key for Rwanda with 16 appearances for them in the last 17 international games.

Rwanda are in the same group as Bafana Bafana but they will take on Nigeria on 21 March and then face Lesotho four days later.

Ntwari’s Rwanda top the Group C log with seven points followed by Bafana Bafana and Benin (also on seven points).

A CHANCE FOR NTWARI TO PROVE HIMSELF?
