Kaizer Chiefs eye EXCITING Mamelodi Sundowns youngster!

Kaizer Chiefs have enquired about Masandawana midfielder Thapelo Maseko.

The 21-year-old midfielder has struggled to break into the first team, recording five league appearances this season. Combine his lack of playing time with Miguel Cardoso’s planned squad exodus, and you get the sense that the clock is quietly ticking on his time at the club.

Maseko, one of Bafana’s most promising prospects, made his name playing for SuperSport United before signing with Sundowns in July 2023.

Interest confirmed

“It’s a move [Maseko] that Kaizer Chiefs are contemplating working on,” SoccerLaduma explained.

“The Chiefs scouts know Maseko very well and they know what he could bring to the team and that’s why they are enquiring about him. For now, it’s still early to say what will happen but what I can tell you is that they are seriously looking into that.”

Another inside source reaffirmed Kaizer Chiefs’ interest, saying, “Let me tell you that Chiefs wanted Maseko before he even joined Sundowns, but you know how things work in football. But since he is not playing regularly now at Sundowns there is a chance that Chiefs could get this time around. They are working on that.”

R10 million bid

AmaKhosi have reportedly tabled a R10 million bid for Richards Bay defender Lwandile Mabuya.

“They have looked at different right backs and it’s believed they apparently want to settle for Lwandile [Mabuya] and that’s why they are believed to be preparing a R10 million offer to table to Richards Bay,” SoccerLaduma stated.

“They are valuing the player so they are preparing a substantial offer which they believe can convince Richards Bay as well. This will be a good offer considering how they bought other players before.”

Would this be a good signing for Kaizer Chiefs?
