Kaizer Chiefs eyeing Belgium-born striker!

Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly monitoring 26-year-old Josh Eppiah.

“Josh Eppiah is a player that we are assessing the options for, and I can confirm that there are plans for him to play in the PSL next season,” SoccerLaduma confirmed. “Kaizer Chiefs are one of the clubs that have been contacted to offer his services, that I can confirm.”

This would be a huge move for the Leicester City academy product, who has been without a club since parting ways with Brazilian outfit Amazonas last year.

Zwane to become available?

AmaKhosi are keeping tabs on PSL veteran Themba Zwane as contract extension negotiations with Mamelodi Sundowns stall. The 35-year-old’s deal expires in June.

“Do you remember that the talks had started? Even after the [Achilles] injury they continued but at the moment they have stalled [with Zwane’s contract] and it doesn’t look good,” a Siya source stated.

“They are in limbo though it doesn’t mean it’s over yet. It will depend on what goes on until the end of the season. But they wanted him to be part of the Club World Cup which happens as the contract comes to an end. It’s a tricky situation but his future at the club seems to be coming to an end as things stand now.”

Another source explained Masandawana’s contract conundrum, saying, “It’s not like the club wants to throw him away. They could do it like Hlompho Kekana or Tiyani Mabunda while they bring in young players to take over from him.

“There are a number of youngsters from the DDC and other youth structures who the club want to introduce and with the downsizing of the squad in mind they would release experienced players and Mshishi could be one of them and that’s what could affect his contract talks.”

Should Kaizer Chiefs try sign Zwane?
