Kaizer Chiefs have secured the future of Ashley Du Preez at Amakhosi.
ASHLEY DU PREEZ ON HIS NEW DEAL WITH KAIZER CHIEFS
As confirmed via iDiski Times last week, the 27-year-old winger-striker has penned a new two-year deal since he arrived at Kaizer Chiefs from Stellenbosch FC in 2022. “Kaizer Chiefs have acted swiftly to tie down forward Ashley du Preez on a new two-year contract,” the report said. “iDiski Times can now confirm the player has signed until July 2027, which will no doubt come as a welcome boost to Chiefs upon his recent return to fitness,” added Kohler.
Meanwhile, the Kaizer Chiefs forward has shared his thoughts: “To be honest, I’ve heard that they’re going to renew my contract,” Du Preez said. “For me it’s to [work hard]… they trust me. For me, it’s to give back to them, the club. And to work on getting a better contract as a player. So, for me, it’s to give back to the club.”
INACIO MIGUEL EQUALS NEDBANK CUP RECORD
Kaizer Chiefs star Inacio Miguel has only been at Amakhosi for seven months but is already mentioned next to Marks Maponyane’s name.
According to iDiski Times, the 29-year-old Miguel is the first Kaizer Chiefs player to score in three opening matches of the Nedbank Cup since Maponyane 36 years ago. The Angolan international found the net against Free Agents FC, Chippa United and last Saturday against Stellenbosch FC.
