So, R50 million worth of Bafana Bafana Sundowns stars are on Amakhosi’s radar. Meanwhile, this Brazilian winger is the latest Masandawana star in Chiefs’ sites.
CHIEFS CONSIDERING BIG SUNDOWNS TARGETS
Chiefs are considering signing Bafana and Sundowns defender, Neo Maema.
“As for Sundowns, they are looking at downsizing the squat at the end of the season and Chiefs are believed to be looking to use that window space to pursue Maema. They have apparentally been monitoring him for sometime now and they have the chance to sign him if Sundowns let him go. So yes it’s true, Chiefs are believed to be pursuing Neo Maema,” the insider stated on SNL.
Meaning, Amakhosi have a golden chance to sign Maema at the end of the current season.
However, at the time of publication, neither Chiefs nor Maema or his agent have commented on the purported links. Ultimately, there is interest from the Soweto giants but it remains to be seen whether this will turn into an offer for the Bafana defender.
Meanwhile, Terrence Mashego is the other capped national from Sundowns that Chiefs are considering signing from Chloorkop. Mashego’s current contract is set to expire in June.
Chiefs are reportedly monitoring his contract situation closely, according to SNL. Therefore, if Sundowns opt against extending his contract, Amakhosi could make an offer.
AMAKHOSI AFTER ATTACKER FROM CHLOORKOP
As reported on The South African, Thapelo Maseko is the latest Chiefs target from Sundowns.
Moreover, the attacker is a player that Amakhosi scouts know very well.
“The Chiefs scouts know Maseko very well, and they know what he could bring to the team, and that’s why they are enquiring about him. For now, it’s still early to say what will happen but what I can tell you is that they are seriously looking into that,” the Siya source stated on SNL.
Meaning, the Soweto giants are reportedly planning on signing him in the up-and-coming PSL transfer window, according to the same publication.
