A section of Kaizer Chiefs followers will not have any issues with this latest development at all.
KAIZER CHIEFS TO EMPLOY ITUMELENG KHUNE
While the the 37-year-old Khune is yet to formally hang his boots, Soccer Laduma believes that the club is considering offering the Kaizer Chiefs legend a job in the Amakhosi marketing department.
“Yes, the club still wants to work with Itu (Khune),” a source told the outlet. “They feel that he still has a lot to offer outside the playing field and that’s why the talks never stopped. The club understands that he has other responsibilities in his life but they are looking at a possible way of formulating a conducive working partnership which will suit both parties and that’s why they are still talking to him regarding that position in the marketing and commercial department with Jessica.
An additional source added: “For now it could be for the marketing and commercial department but they also want him to do his coaching badges and impact his knowledge to the young and upcoming goalkeepers. The club believes he still has a lot to contribute to the team in terms of teaching the young goalkeepers the ropes as he has been there and done almost everything for the team. So, no matter which department works for him, the club still wants him back.”
KAIZER CHIEFS ANNOUNCE MDUDUZI MDANTSANE DECISION
Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi is one of those tacticians who prefer to work with smaller squads.
Following a freak jaw injury which caused him to miss pre-season training, Mdantsane has been shipped to Richards Bay on loan until the rest of the season. The 30-year-old joins fellow Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe who is at the same club.
“Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to a loan deal that sees midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane join KwaZulu-Natal side, Richards Bay, for the remainder of the 2024/25 season,” the club confirmed.
“Mdantsane, a talented and experienced attacking midfielder will rejoin Amakhosi at the end of the season.
“We wish ‘Mdu’ all the best as he embarks on this new chapter in his career. His journey at Natal Rich Boyz is sure to be an exciting one, and we look forward to his return to the Amakhosi family, ready to make a mark in the team,” concluded Kaizer Chiefs.
