Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Luke Le Roux, Appollis, Salum and Saleng

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to go all out in the next transfer window after another disappointing season.

The Soweto giants however can still salvage their season if they claim the Nedbank Cup. The team reached the semi-final of the competition after defeating Stellenbosch 3-1 in a very controversial match earlier this month.

In the league, Chiefs are currently eighth with eight matches still left to play in the Betway Premiership. If Nasreddine Nabi’s men can win six of their last eight matches, they might push for a top-three finish.

Who can Kaizer Chiefs buy in the next transfer window?

Luke le Roux

Last week, Soccer Laduma reported that the Glamour Boys were looking to sign the 24-year-old Bafana star. Le Roux is currently playing football for Värnamo in Sweden.

Yanela Mbuthuma

The Richards Bay star player scored against Amakhosi this past weekend helping the Natal Rich Boys claim victory over the Soweto giants. Kaizer Chiefs could table an offer even before the transfer window opens in pre-season. A source told Soccer Laduma that Amakhosi were on a lookout for a quality striker.

“Chiefs are also interested in that Richards Bay striker that Pirates have enquired about before, Yanela Mbuthuma. For now it’s just the interest from the team. I am not sure if there is anything official yet from Chiefs to talk to Richards Bay. But what I can tell you is that Chiefs are interested in him,” the source added.

Feisal Salum

The Azam FC playmaker has extended his stay with the Tanzanian club. If Chiefs are to sign him, they need to pay a fee of R183 million

Monnapule Saleng

One player who is almost certain to be available after this season is Saleng. Orlando Pirates could sell or release their winger in the next transfer window making him an option for Kaizer Chiefs.

Oswin Appollis

The 23-year-old Bafana winger has not had the best of seasons with Polokwane City. Appollis is still on Amakhosi’s radar but will they splash money for him?
