Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has revealed that he in the market for a quality left-back in his team.
The coach’s comments come amid reports that Thatayaone Ditlhokwe could be leaving Chiefs for Al-Ittihad.
Ditlhokwe, who is a left-footed centre-back, was recently used as a left-back by Nabi but Chiefs still have options.
As things stand, Amakhosi have left-footed defenders such as Bradley Cross, Edmilson Dove, Bongani Sam and wing-back Happy Mashiane.
However, Nabi believes there is a need for a quality left-back whom he said should be a specialist in that role.
Just recently, reports surfaced that Chiefs attempted to sign Terrence Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns but they aborted the mission.
Now, with the January transfer window now closed, Nabi will certainly have to do with the players he has at his disposal for the remainder of the season.

KAIZER CHIEFS COACH NABI TALKS NEED FOR QUALITY LEFT-BACK
“If there is an opportunity or a transfer window that we get a chance to strengthen the team, we feel we are in the right direction even if we were not consistent,” said Nabi as per SABC Sport.
“We feel that, for example, we should have had a left-back that is a specialist in his position, the one who plays there – even though he plays amazingly well – is someone who was there first and it was a case of, ‘let’s try him to see how he does.’
“But overall, we believe that going to the end of the season, we feel we are in the right space with the right ingredients to do something good.”
