Kaizer Chiefs are expected to make a splash in the upcoming winter transfer window. The latest report is on an exciting Mamelodi Sundowns winger.
THAPELO MASEKO TO KAIZER CHIEFS?
After a prolonged thigh injury that allowed the 21-year-old to feature in only 11 appearances this term, the Vaal-born attacker has landed on Kaizer Chiefs’ radar ahead of next season. According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi are showing interest in the SuperSport United academy graduate. Maseko, who is also a Bafana Bafana international with seven caps, was previously a Kaizer Chiefs target before Mamelodi Sundowns won the race in July 2023. “It’s a move that Chiefs are contemplating working on,” the outlet reported. “The Chiefs scouts know Maseko very well, and they know what he could bring to the team, and that’s why they are enquiring about him. For now, it’s still early to say what will happen but what I can tell you is that they are seriously looking into that,” the Siya source stated.
“Let me tell you that Chiefs wanted Maseko before he even joined Sundowns but you know how things work in football. But since he is not playing regularly now at Sundowns there is a chance that Chiefs could get him this time around. They are working on that, ” the second source told the Siya crew.
