Kaizer Chiefs could just have received a helping hand from Orlando Pirates in their pursuit of a key transfer target.
Orlando Pirates inadvertently help Chiefs get closer to Nwabali
According to Soccer Laduma, Chippa United want to sign Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Ethan Visagie. He’s yet to make his Bucs debut. Pirates have a surplus of goalkeepers on their books and are keen to send Visagie out on loan to gain valuable first-team experience. The Chilli Boys see 23-year-old Visagie as the perfect replacement for Stanley Nwabali, who they expect to leave. The Nigerian Number 1, Nwabali, is wanted across the PSL and in Europe. The 28-year-old, who stands at an impressive 1.96m tall, has made 19 appearances in the league this term.
“They are believed to have enquired about Pirates goalkeeper Ethan (Visagie). They are preparing to find a replacement for Stanley (Nwabali) when he leaves at the end of the season. Yes, he hasn’t played official games for Pirates, but the scouts who know him have recommended him to Chippa United as a strong candidate to replace Nwabali. So, for now, nothing is concluded yet, but the interest is there,” an insider disclosed.

R80 million for the Chiefs board to spend?
