Karachi gets a 24-hour passport office

Karachi now has a 24-hour passport office to accommodate passport applications.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated a new passport office at the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Mega Centre in Nazimabad, on Wednesday.

The facility is designed to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with staff working in three shifts to accommodate passport applications at any time.

The interior minister also inspected the passport counters and met with the staff.

He also interacted with citizens visiting the Nadra Mega Centre for passport and National Identity Card (NICs) card services and inquired about their experiences.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi received a briefing on the operations of the passport office at the NADRA centre. He also addressed concerns regarding women who visit for biometric verification under the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
Naqvi directed authorities to promptly resolve these issues, emphasizing that addressing public grievances is a key government responsibility.
