Masters Monday off to a wet start…ALERT DAY issued for severe storms

Weather Alerts: VIPIR 6 ALERT DAY from 11am to 5pm for entire CSRA. A Flood Watch in effect for Hancock county until 8pm today.

Monday Forecast: Strong to severe storms are possible as we head into the afternoon today with highs in the low to mid 70s. Main threats would be gusty winds up to 60 mph and a flash flood risk, while hail and an isolated tornado not out of the question. Rain will be coming to an end late tonight with gradual clearing during the overnight.

Looking Ahead: We are back to sunshine and cool temps for Tuesday! Highs will be below average for Tuesday through Sunday ranging from the upper 60s Tuesday and Wednesday, upper 70s are briefly back for Thursday, scattered showers return for Friday with highs in the low 70s. The weekend begins a little cool for Saturday with sunshine and highs in the upper 60s, then warming a little for Sunday with highs in the low 70s and staying sunny. Temps begin warming back above average for next week.
