Matheus Cunha has hit out at a Wolves fan channel over his deleted post on Instagram which read, ‘time to be happy’.

On Saturday afternoon, the Brazil international briefly shared a black and white photo of himself wearing a Wolves tracksuit top on his Instagram story alongside the message: ‘Time to be happy. I will follow my dreams, not yours. So stay cool.’

Cunha, who deleted the post, then took exception to Talking Wolves sharing the image as he told the fan channel: ‘Do you know what you want? For people to not like me here, unfortunately I’m going to the field to solve the problem of your favourite club.

‘I’m not here looking for alternatives to be someone important. Fans root for their own, they don’t create misfortunes all the time.’

Talking Wolves replied to Cunha: ‘Completely false. You would have seen us praising you and supporting you from day one. We’re reporting the news and what’s happening. Stop blaming your personal mistakes on us.’

Cunha then hit back again at Talking Wolves as he replied: ‘I’m sorry but that’s exactly what you want.

‘The first one to report fake news, not what was really in the news, I make a video and pretend it’s irrelevant.

‘What you don’t understand is that you are an opinion maker, if you don’t like me, that’s fine friend. And in the end, every negative interpretation you have is the first one to try to reproduce. Let’s do the following.

‘In common we only have the Wolves that I love so much.’

Cunha has attracted widespread interest from several Premier League clubs ahead of this summer transfer window following his impressive performances for Wolves this season.

The 25-year-old forward, who has scored 13 goals in the Premier League this term, has a £62.5 million release clause in his deal with Wolves.

Reports this week have claimed that Manchester United have already made an approach for Cunha, while Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United have also registered their interest ahead of the summer.
