Millie Bobby Brown has confessed she doesn’t have ‘many friends’.

While it looks like she has it all – an estimated net worth of $14million (£11.2mill), A-lister status at the age of 20, a devoted partner and now husband – the Stranger Things star has confessed she really doesn’t.

While filming Netflix hit Stranger Things from the age of 11 to 20 – playing the telekinetic child Eleven – gave Millie all of this richness, it also had its major downsides.

‘I don’t have many friends because of who I am,’ she told Vanity Fair in their March cover story.

‘I didn’t go to school, so I don’t have the best social skills when it comes to people my own age and friendships. I struggle with that quite a bit,’ she continued, concluding: ‘I missed out on a few things. But I’m working through them.’

This could be part of the reason Millie lives on a massive farm in rural Georgia, content with the company of sheep, goats, cows, donkeys, nine dogs, and her husband Jake Bongiovi (son of rockstar Jon Bon Jovi).

The Enola Holmes star, who barely checks her phone nowadays, is aware of the trad wife fantasies all over social media of late. But this cooking, cleaning, pottering, traditional housewife core is not her, she said.

‘I’m not doing it for the aesthetic. I’m doing it because I love it,’ she said.

‘There are maybe some trad wives out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not.

‘If you’re not picking up horse s**t or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all.’

Elsewhere, Millie discussed her relationship with husband Jake, after the pair secretly married in May last year.

‘We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want,’ Millie said.

‘It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.’

This comes as the fifth and final ever Stranger Things season has wrapped filming, with it set to premiere on Netflix in November this year.
