Millie Bobby Brown has revealed her real name for the very first time.
The Stranger Things star made the surprising admission to her co-star Chris Pratt during an interview for her upcoming Netflix movie The Electric State.
As it turns out, 21 year old actresses iconic middle name is actually a stage name.
‘My middle name is Bonnie,’ she told Pratt, who replied incredulously: ‘Millie Bobby Bonnie Brown?’
She clarified, telling Pratt and BuzzFeed UK: ‘No, it’s not Bobby. It’s Millie Bonnie Brown. I’ve never told anyone that. You heard it here first.’
As surprised as the rest of us, Pratt questioned: ‘Your middle name is Bonnie… but you changed to Bobby for…?’

She joked, ‘Just for s***s and giggles,’ before telling Pratt that she’d made the decision for her stage name, thinking Bobby was more unique than Bonnie.
The pair are starring in the new film from Joe and Anthony Russo – which also features Succession star Brian Cox – and is set to come out on Netflix on March 14.
Fans online had mixed feelings about Brown’s name revelation, with some seemingly feeling betrayed.
X user @Angelica_Reed1 responded to a post about the name change with: ‘Some people just love lying for no other reason than to get away with the lie. 😭’

@jsansonnn posted: ‘We’ve been lied to.’
@recklesscrime simply wrote: ‘That’s absurd…’
But others were more supportive of the change, with @ladidaix
writing: ‘This was the right choice. It rolls off the tongue better 😭🔥🔥🔥’
@stunninbrina agreed: ‘She kinda ate tho bc Millie Bonnie Brown doesn’t hit the same as Millie Bobby Brown.’
@whotfisjovana chimed in: ‘She’s so smart!’
The news comes just after Brown spoke out about the countless outlets and online users criticising her appearance in recent weeks, with many saying she looks much older than her 21 years.
She said in response: ‘I refuse to apologise for growing up. I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman. I will not be shamed for how I look, how I dress, or how I present myself. We have become a society where it’s so much easier to criticise than it is to pay a compliment.
‘Why is the knee-jerk reaction to say something horrible rather than to say something nice? If you have a problem with that, I have to wonder – what is it that actually makes you so uncomfortable? Let’s do better. Not just for me, but for every young girl who deserves to grow up without fear of being torn apart for simply existing.’
Matt Lucas then admitted he’s ‘mortified’ and issued an apology to Brown after comparing her to one of his Little Britain characters.
Lucas compared her to Vicky Pollard, retweeting images of Millie wearing a pink tracksuit and silver hoops with her blonde hair tied up into a messy bun.

He captioned it with the Little Britain character’s iconic phrase: ‘No but yeah but.’
Matt has now issued an apology, saying: ‘Dear Millie, I just saw your post and wanted to respond, and provide some context.
‘Nearly 25 years ago I co-wrote and appeared in a sketch show called Little Britain.
‘There was a character in it called Vicky Pollard, who had blonde hair and always wore a pink top, and in the photo you had blonde hair and wore a pink top so I pointed out the similarity by posting one of her catchphrases.’
He said he thought Millie ‘looked terrified’ and was left ‘mortified’ when it was reported that he ‘slammed’ her, adding: ‘Firstly because that’s not my style and secondly because I think you’re brilliant.’
‘I would not have posted it if I had thought it would have upset you but I realise it has and for that I apologise. Matt x,’ the former Bake Off presenter concluded.
