Orlando Pirates have a major decision to make regarding who their next head coach will be.

Spanish mentor Jose Riveiro will part ways with the club after three highly successful seasons in Mayfair.

The Buccaneers have restored their status as a top team under Riveiro, lifting five trophies so far.

Orlando Pirates are still in with a chance to lift three more trophies under Jose, which would signal a dream end to his spell at the club.

Mokwena emerges as top Orlando Pirates target

The Buccaneers are already preparing for next season, without their serial winning coach.

Management are reportedly lining up their next head coach. Pitso Mosimane was tipped to be their preferred choice however, Rulani Mokwena’s volatile situation in Morocco has changed things!

According to The Citizen, Mokwena will be leaving Wydad Athletic Club at the end of the season and is now Orlando Pirates’ preferred candidate!

If the club manage to land Mokwena, it will be his second stint at the Buccaneers. He took charge of 14 matches back in 2019, winning just four, losing five while drawing five more before being relieved of his duties.
