Orlando Pirates identify SHOCK midfield target!

Orlando Pirates will be looking to make some additions to their playing squad ahead of next season.

Pirates opted against signing players in the previous window, but that certainly change at the end of the season.

Pirates are looking revamp midfield

It is understood that Pirates are targeting a squad exodus in order to aid their side into its new evolution. One of the departments that could, again, see change is midfield. It is currently a congested area with the likes of Thalente Mbatha and Makhehlene Makaula the regular starters. There have also been the options of Kabelo Dlamini and Selaelo Rasebotja. The team also has the likes of Miguel Timm, Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Goodman Mosele as depth options.

There is expected to be the departure of at least two of the above players at the end of the season. This in an effort to see Pirates refresh their midfield. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, they have identified the unlikely target of Marumo Gallants midfielder Masindi Nemtajela

Nemtajela possible new addition

“They have been monitoring him (Nemtajela) because they feel that if they release other players at the end of the season then they may need a player like him. He has been doing well in the games that he has played for Marumo Gallants this season and he has been consistent and it’s believed that that’s why Pirates are showing interest in him. It will all now depend on what happens at the end of the season,” said the source to the same publication.

Pirates are expected to renew the contract of veteran Makaula, who’s deal expires at the end of the season. Then more big decisions are expected on the futures of Timm, Ndlondlo and Mosele. Departures there could open a pathway for Nemtajela to sign.

Good choice for the Buccaneers?
