‘Pretty as a picture’: MaMkhize’s age shocks SA

Celebrated multimillionaire Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize is trending against the backdrop of her recent Instagram post.

Since December last year, MaMkhize has been keeping her private life under wraps as she battled with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) to save her club, Royal AM, amid her debt woes.

However, she seemingly lost the club, which is on the market for the second time after its previous buyer failed to pay Sars on time despite winning the bid to take over the club.

BUSINESS MOGUL MAMKHIZE’S AGE SHOCKS SA

With Royal AM’s drama seemingly over, MaMkhize has been sharing a string of posts on her feeds, from her woes to a picture-perfect birthday post.

Thanks to her huge social media following, she often trends whenever she posts or gets posted.

Taking to the picture-sharing app, MaMkhize shared a picture-perfect photo and captioned it with a cryptic caption, ‘Guess what?’

However, fans and fellow celebrities were more than to connect the dots that ‘it was a birthday post.’

Against the post, her comment section was flooded with warm birthday wishes from fellow A-listers and fans.

On the other hand, the publication managed to connect the dots about her age, which she has kept under wraps for years.

The 49-year-old was born on 6 April 1976 in Umbumbulu in KwaZulu-Natal. The 48-year-old multimillionaire grew up under the watch of her mother, Florence Mkhize, an ANC veteran and anti-apartheid activist.

After matriculating, she graduated with a degree in Accounting from ML Sultan Technikon, now known as Durban University of Technology.

Many were convinced she was older than she looked. On the other hand, some credited her youthful looks to her fat pockets. No doubt MaMkhize’s age left many puzzled

Surprisingly, MaMkhize shares her birthday with Max Mqabi, who owns Max’s Lifestyle.

BUSINESS PORTFOLIO

One can not talk about MaMkhize without mentioning her business portfolio and her fair share of bad headlines. Thanks to her company, Zikhulise Group, she raked millions as a tenderpreneur.

The company has several subsidiaries, including Zikhulise Maintenance and Transport, Zikhulise Auto Recoveries and Inyanga Trading.

Over the years, the company has scored several multimillion tenders, often thrusting it into the top trends.

MAKING HEADLINES

Since last year, she has been making headlines with her financial woes. MaMkhize owes the South African Revenue Service around R40 million.

MaMkhize’s debt saw her R20 million Durban mansion being raided before the taxman took over her club, Royal AM, which is currently on the market.
