SECOND MAINTENANCE WILL TAKE PLACE ON 9 APRIL
Johannesburg Water said the second maintenance will take place on Wednesday, 9 April as Eskom will be conducting its three-yearly maintenance at the Daleside Substation.
The substation supplies power to Rand Water’s Daleside Pumping Station which supplies some of Johannesburg Water’s Deep South systems, namely, Ennerdale, Orange Farm, and Lawley Reservoirs.
“During this maintenance, there will be no pumping at Daleside for eight hours. During both maintenance, customers will experience poor pressure to no water,” Johannesburg Water said.
In addition, residents have been urged to store water ahead of Rand Water’s planned maintenance and to use alternative means like rain water harvesting to store rainwater for non-consumption use.
